30 years ago Necromass, obscure underground band from #Florence, #Italy, released their 2nd studio album.
Their ๐ 1994 debut, today considered an absolute Black Metal gem with possibly the most blasphemous lyrics, ended with a clean vocal semi-ballad, Death SS style (coming from Florence, surely one of their biggest influences).
In Abyss Calls Life #Necromass seem to pursue the evolution of sound started with that song, even delievering Progressive tracks like "Bloodstorm Collide", "A Serpent Is Screaming in the Abyss", with frontman Blasphemy now performing #DeathMetal vocals all through, alternating whispers and rare clean.

40 years ago Gigi Masin from #Venice, #Italy composed his debut studio album.
Masin was a self-taught musician and composer, far from music business rules.
Wind was in fact not released and distributed, Masin printed few hundred copies for himself, some of which got destroyed after a flood. Those who wanted to buy Wind had to write him and possibly go to his house in Venice.
It became soon a cult album among musicians, artists like Bjรถrk and Nujabes often used samplings from it.
After many years Masin found out on the internet that the price for a copy of Wind had raised to 1000โฌ, he then decided to reprint and distribute the album for everyone to enjoy and afford.

50 years ago Goblin from #Rome, #Italy released their 2nd studio album.
Roller came out one year after the iconic and successful ๐ Profondo Rosso and is one of the band's rare non-soundtrack albums, though some of the tracks in here would later appear in various films.
The front cover is taken by Louis-Lรฉopold Boilly's illustration of Tartini's dream that inspired The Devil's Trill Sonata.
#Goblin showcase all their instrumental mastery here, free from movie plots and concepts, my favorite album from them โค๏ธโ๐ฅ

40 years ago Paul Chain from #Pesaro, #LeMarche, #Italy released his 1st full-length album, followed by a 4 track EP issued in September 1986. Both releases came out under the monicker Paul Chain Violet Theatre.
All songs were written by Chain between 1978 and 1986.
The nightmare voyage into Psychedelic Doom started with ๐ his 1984 debut EP knew no way back now ๐
