📀 Reale Accademia di Musica
#ProgressiveRock #SymphonicRock #HardRock
50 years ago, in an undocumented date, Reale Accademia Di Musica from #Rome, #Italy released their self-titled debut studio album.
In a year (1972) which probably was the best and most prolific for Progressive Rock genre and in a country (Italy) in which this kind of music chronically lacked of general attention and promotion, this album was almost ignored.
As many #RPI works #RealeAccademiadiMusica was re-discovered as a hidden gem and much appreciated by critics and fans of the genre in following years.
Simply amazing!
In this album:
#PericleSponzilli - guitar
#PierfrancoPavone - bass
#RobertoSenzasono - drums
#FedericoTroiani - piano, organ, mellotron, vocals
#HenrykTopelCabanes - vocals
Produced by #MaurizioVannelli of #Equipe84, and Italian #beat influences are apparent thoughout the album.

🎼 9 April 1948.
Happy 75th Birthday to Patty Pravo from Venice!
One of the most famous female singers in #Italy, not really a Rock one but... this lady has truly something to tell about her life!
She moved to #Rome aged 17 and she became the queen of the Piper, the most important music venue at the time.
She witnessed the entire evolution of Italian Beat into Italian Prog Rock thanks to her liasons with artists of the scene, she sang immortal Italian pop songs for 5 decades, she spent wild nights with unknown young musicians such as #PinkFloyd and #JimiHendrix in the 1960s, she ideally followed the route of 👉 Marco Polo when she became the most famous Italian singer in Asia, performing for the King of Jordan and the Shah Of Persia in the 1970s and for Chinese Tv in 1980s-90s with audiences exceeding 1 billion... yes, quite a life ❤️🔥

Miss Daisy
📀 Pizza Connection
#HardRock #HeavyMetal
35 years ago Miss Daisy from #Rome, #Italy released their debut and only studio album.
After hearing a demotape of the titletrack and "Skywalker" (the highlight of the album🤘), Lemmy passed it on to "Fast" Eddie Clarke who produced Pizza Connection for GWR Records (at the time Motörhead label) and took #MissDaisy to support Motörhead UK tour! Can you imagine what a dream for these guys!?❤️🔥
Don't know what went wrong then, MD were one of the best live acts in Italy, they toured with BOC, Ramones and again Motörhead before disbanding 🤷♂
Frontman Rocco Fortunato became a good writer, he passed away in 2017.
My original LP in #VeniceRocksRoom is a rare and rough diamond 💎☝️
In this album:
#RoccoFortunato - guitar, vocals
#CorradoCecere - bass, vocals
#MassimoFidani "Fido" - drums, vocals
Guest musicians
#FastEddieClarke - voice
#LucaPiccione - harmonica
#MarioZannini - trumpet

🎥18 March 1964. Dolomites in Movies Series.
60 years ago the first chapter of the legendary comedy film series The Pink Panther was released internationally. It was first released in #Italy before Christmas 1963, since most of the scenes were filmed in #Rome and in #Cortina d'Ampezzo, 30 minutes drive from #myhometown in the #Dolomites.
I totally loved this series when I was a kid... and still love it ❤️
Have you seen it?
Here's the Trailer (are there Trailers like that anymore?) where every actor is presented👇

❤️🔥This is probably the last photo of #KurtCobain in a "normal" and leisure day.
It's taken inside the Colosseum in #Rome on 4 March 1994, few days after 👉 Nirvana last concert in #Italy.
Back to his hotel that night Cobain nearly took his life and was saved by Rome hospital Umberto I after 3 days of coma.
#Nirvana had already stopped their tour due to Cobain medical conditions.
After these days in Rome, Kurt and wife #CourtneyLove flew back to Seattle... and it all came to an end on that #5April of 30 years ago.

📀 Roller
#ProgressiveRock #InstrumentalRock #FunkRock #SynthRock
50 years ago Goblin from #Rome, #Italy released their 2nd studio album.
Roller came out one year after the iconic and successful 👉 Profondo Rosso and is one of the band's rare non-soundtrack albums, though some of the tracks in here would later appear in various films.
The front cover is taken by Louis-Léopold Boilly's illustration of Tartini's dream that inspired The Devil's Trill Sonata.
#Goblin showcase all their instrumental mastery here, free from movie plots and concepts, my favorite album from them ❤️🔥
In this album:
#MassimoMorante – guitars
#FabioPignatelli – bass
#ClaudioSimonetti – Mininoog, organ, keyboads, clavinet, synthesizers
#MaurizioGuarini – keyboards, Moog, piano
#AgostinoMarangolo – drums, percussion
