🎼6 May 1991. It's 30 years 😳 since Say Hallo 2 Heaven came out. It was the second single extracted from Temple of The Dog eponymous album which was released 1 month before.
#TempleOfTheDog is in my opinion one of the best albums of that incredible era, which I strongly recommend!!!
The band was a once in a lifetime project and was formed by Soundgarden and later Pearl Jam members.
The Grunge movement and the Seattle Sound were about to explode 🧨 all over the world in few months. Bands such as #AliceinChains, #Soundgarden, #Nirvana were already around for some years and in some months Nirvana and #PearlJam would release their best selling albums "Nevermind" and "Ten" respectively, thus dragging into world charts the entire Seattle rock scene.
Say Hallo 2 Heaven is a song written in November 1990 by Chris Cornell for his room mate #AndrewWood who died of heroin overdose🤷‍♂️ in March 1990. Andrew was the singer of Seattle rock band Mother Love Bone, Jeff Ament and Steve Gossard (who later will found Pearl Jam along with Eddie Vedder) were Andrew Wood's band mates.

30 years ago Nirvana from Seattle, #USA released their 3rd and final studio album.

Being the follow-up of the legendary Nevermind, In Utero was eagerly awaited by fans and critics, #Nirvana however chose a low profile to avoid over-hype, recorded it in 2 weeks and released it with no big announcements.
It peaked the charts and sold millions anyway (my original LP in #VeniceRocksRoom☝️) !

Just found out exactly where I was 30 years ago... Palatrussardi in #Milan☝️🤘

- one of #Nirvana last concerts, they did 2 more dates before canceling the rest of the European tour in support of 👉 In Utero.
1 month later #KurtCobain was no more with us 😢

- the "special guest" indicated in the ticket was 👉 Melvins, one of the most influential bands to Nirvana. They did a hell of a show!

- As written on the ticket I spent 32.000 Lire (#Italy old currency), which more or less is 16 euros 😳

❤️‍🔥This is probably the last photo of #KurtCobain in a "normal" and leisure day.
It's taken inside the Colosseum in #Rome on 4 March 1994, few days after 👉 Nirvana last concert in #Italy.

Back to his hotel that night Cobain nearly took his life and was saved by Rome hospital Umberto I after 3 days of coma.

#Nirvana had already stopped their tour due to Cobain medical conditions.
After these days in Rome, Kurt and wife #CourtneyLove flew back to Seattle... and it all came to an end on that #5April of 30 years ago.

🎸❤️‍🔥 Just found a video of #Nirvana last TV appearance 30 years ago: they played live during the short-lived cult program "Tunnel" on #Italy national Rai3 channel.
#KurtCobain looked pretty good and nothing seemed wrong with them! 🤷‍♂
