50 years ago Lynyrd Skynyrd from Jacksonville, Florida, #USA, released their debut studio album.
(Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd) was immediately acclaimed as a milestone of the recently born Southern Rock genre.
The album contains #LynyrdSkynyrd classics such as "Simple Man", "Tuesday's Gone", and the final "Free Bird", a 9 minute suite with the terrific closing guitar solos, which became their signature song.

50 years ago The Tubes from San Francisco, #USA released their self-titled debut album.
Produced by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist #AlKooper, The Tubes is widely regarded as an Art Rock milestone; some consider this album, and the band itself, as the perfect bridge between the declining Progressive Rock era of early 70s and the emerging New Wave movement of late 70s.
The album's closing track "White Punks on Dope", a parody ridiculing the rich and famous offspring of Hollywood elite, became #TheTubes signature and a cult song for punk rockers🤘
