📜🎼 30 January 1972. Exactly 50 years ago it was a Sunday like today... in Northern Ireland it was a Bloody Sunday, when British Army shoot on unarmed civilians following a massive civil rights protest march.
This massacre inspired so many artists who wrote, painted, sang about that day.
As concerns music the most famous and iconic song is of course Sunday Bloody Sunday by U2 (1983), few know that the first musician to write about it was John Lennon in 1972, the same song title "Sunday Bloody Sunday", and the first band was Black Sabbath, "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath", 1973 (both album title and titletrack lyrics inspired by bassist Geezer Butler of Irish origin).
In the Chat Room👇 the 3 songs and a short explanation on that day.
