🎼13 March 1960. Happy Birthday πŸ₯³πŸΎ to one of those men "behind the scenes"... as often happens to bassists and drummers in a rock band 😳
Mr. Adam Charles Clayton born in Oxfordshire, England (yes πŸ€”) forever bass player for U2.
At some point he got more popular than his bandmates #Bono and #TheEdge, for his relationship with πŸ”Model Naomi Campbell in the early 90s πŸ‘πŸ» One of the most envied guys in the world at the timeπŸ˜‰ I chose one of the songs where Clayton's work is more evident... and of course one of their best!!!

🎼27 March 1987. U2 play a rooftop concert in downtown Los Angeles, taking the idea from what The #Beatles did in their famous rooftop concert in London some decades before. 🀟🎸
They were intended to film their video for "Where The Streets Have No Name", one of my absolute favorite songs from my absolute favorite #U2 album, The Joshua Tree.
How the story went on... it's here in the official video πŸ‘‡ they somehow made history with that too! πŸ˜‰

"All is quiet on New Year's Day
A world in white gets underway
I want to be with you
Be with you, night and day
Nothing changes on New Year's Day"

πŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ"I'm not the only one
Starin' at the sun"...

What makes this world great (and unique) is that every single person sees reality in a unique way... his own!
Off Topic, sorry πŸ˜‰

My highest respect (only) to the #U2 of the 1980s 🀟

πŸ“œπŸŽΌ 30 January 1972. Exactly 50 years ago it was a Sunday like today... in Northern Ireland it was a Bloody Sunday, when British Army shoot on unarmed civilians following a massive civil rights protest march.

This massacre inspired so many artists who wrote, painted, sang about that day.
As concerns music the most famous and iconic song is of course Sunday Bloody Sunday by U2 (1983), few know that the first musician to write about it was John Lennon in 1972, the same song title "Sunday Bloody Sunday", and the first band was Black Sabbath, "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath", 1973 (both album title and titletrack lyrics inspired by bassist Geezer Butler of Irish origin).
In the Chat RoomπŸ‘‡ the 3 songs and a short explanation on that day.

35 years ago U2 from #Ireland released their 5th studio album, widely considered their mastepiece and one of the all time best rock albums: The Joshua Tree, entitled after the California National desert Park of the same name.

Under the production mastery and supervision of #BrianEno and Daniel Lanois, this album soon became iconic, like all the singles extracted and related videoclips.
Peaking the charts in 25 countries, selling millions of copies, representing their commercial breakthrough in the US, TJT was the perfect mix of Irish and American folk with protest lyrics and raised #U2 from initial fame to worldwide rock stardom!
