40 years ago Marillion from Aylesbury, #UK released the debut studio album.
Script for a Jester's Tear was recorded at the Marquee Club studios in London where #Marillion started a sort of residency in their early years.
Once more this club was instrumental for launching new bands and in general for shaping rock genres, 👉 read the legendary story of the Marquee here.
This album is a true masterpiece IMHO and was perhaps the first to be labeled as Neo Prog: it was also fundamental for the entire UK Progressive Rock scene because it revived interest in the genre, giving a second life to the 1970s bands.
