β½οΈπ Did you know?
Venice Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo is as of today the second-oldest continually used football stadium in Italy (the oldest being Genoa's Stadio Luigi Ferraris). It opened to public in 1913.
Originally built from wood, the stadium was largely upgraded with a concrete main stand in the 1920s.
The Penzo is on the far eastern edge of Venice, the last island and it is easily accessible on foot and by boat! The current capacity is 7,450.
Going to the football is always a great experience, going to the football in Venice is unique, as everything here, believe me! π
I took many of my past guests to watch Venice Team (which at the moment is in 2nd Italian Division) playing and they all enjoyed so much... it's also an incredible #walkingtour until the last island of Venice ππͺπ»β½οΈ
