55 years ago MC5 from Detroit, #USA, released their debut album, a live album in fact recorded in Detroit on Devil's and Halloween Nights (30-31 October) 1968.
#MC5 are probably the first Rock band in history to debut with a live recording, which was a great success and became one the biggest influences for the entire Rock scene, especially for Punk.
From the initial speech by "spiritual advisor" Brother J. C. Crawford and the punky falsetto vocals of 👉 Wayne Kramer (RIP) on the opener "Ramblin' Rose", Kick Out The Jams is undoubtedly one of the most energetic live albums in history and a genuine symbol of the 1960s counterculture.
"Kick out the jams, motherfuckers"🤘
In this album:
#RobTyner – lead vocals
#WayneKramer – lead guitar, backing vocals, lead vocals
#FredSonicSmith – rhythm guitar, backing vocals
#MichaelDavis – bass
#DennisThompson – drums
