Medical students are expected to have basic professional skills (BPS) and knowledge by the time they graduate medical school. However, due to the pandemic, a lot of medical students suffered from learning these important skills. The BPS series will help students learn a set of clinical activities that graduates are expected to perform independently. This is an important opportunity for students to prepare and, as an end goal, improve patient safety skills.
The project is scheduled for the FY: 2021-2022 and will be held on different social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube.
An important skill to hone as a health provider is how to conduct an oral presentation. An oral presentation is a means of communication between medical professionals, and so they need to be clear, concise, and organized to efficiently relay patient information. For some clerks and post-graduate interns, having to do an oral presentation is especially nerve-wracking therefore this video will give a brief overview of how to organize patient information using the SOAP format.
