Dear learner,

We have been trying to meet with about 40-50 learners every day, organizing 2 or 3 sessions per day based on our time availability. We are sending out emails to learners in batches about the same - selecting participants statewide/citywide for each session so that students can also meet learners from their own city or a neighboring city.

Typically in Chennai, we have been meeting the learners in person while going to the center during the quiz/final exam and an associate was in Hyderabad center on March 14 too. Hence we are trying to reach out to students in other cities we have not interacted.

The invites are going out for 3 days at a time and from our side, it is a mix of the course support team and the staff who is interacting. We are more looking at students introducing themselves to their peers and getting to know each other, etc. So please don't panic or wonder if you have not received an email - you will get it in due course as we plan to do this till the end of April until when the next term starts.

It is a social interaction session - nothing technical or administrative is discussed in it.

Regards,

IITM - BSc Degree Team.

Dear Computational thinking students,

We have received multiple queries regarding the answers of the mentioned questions.

The given answer is correct except for only one corner case. Even in that case all other options are wrong.

Hence, we have decided to reduce the total weightage of these questions to 3 marks each.

For more details, please refer to the released detailed solution.

Do not worry!! Your seniors are stepping up to help you. They will also be answering a few of your common queries related to the qualifiers. If you are interested in attending these sessions, do submit your expression of interest along with a question that you would like to ask your seniors related to Qualifiers.

So some people are making clubs for different things, like music, books and other stuffs.

⚠️ Note: These are not official clubs by IITM, but are made by our fellow students because they were bored of this 1.5 months holiday

IITM has not yet introduced any official Clubs but they announced that they have divided us into houses, so later they might introduce official Clubs to us.

🛑 So DON'T believe anyone claiming that the club link they sent is officially by IIT Madras.

Dear Learner,

Greetings from IITM BSc Degree Program!!

The registration for courses to the May 2021 term is now open.

How to fill the form?

Login to onlinedegree.iitm.ac.in with your student email ID

[xxxxxxxxxxxx@student.onlinedegree.iitm.ac.in].

Click on the tab Course Registration inside your Candidate dashboard.

Go through the instructions given before filling the form.

Ensure that you upload all relevant documents and pay the fees to complete the registration process.

Choosing courses:

Hope you have gone through the documents we have shared earlier.

Total number of final exams that one can write = 4

Total number of New/Repeat courses that one can register to <= CCC.

For courses you have passed belonging to Sem 1 - you can register to the subsequent courses in sem 2 for which these are the prerequisites.

If you were absent for final exams of any Jan 2021 term course, you can apply for the final Makeup exam alone or repeat the course.

If you have failed a course, you will need to repeat the course.

Our recommendations:

Choose wisely on the load you can take in the next term to be able to study and do well.

Register to courses you were absent for or failed so that you can complete them in May 2021 term when the content studied is still fresh in your mind.

Then go in for New courses as per your ccc and as per your time availability.

Deadline:

Last date to register to May 2021 courses: 12th April 2021 at 11:59 PM IST

Note:

Please read the operational documents which we shared already before registering for the courses.
If your documents (SC/ST/PwD/OBC-NCL/EWS/Family income) have been approved in Dec 2020 when registering for the Jan 2021 term, it will be valid for this term also. You need not reupload the same again.
In case you wish to change your category, you can choose the same and submit a valid certificate while registering.
Sample of course Selection for Term 2 as explained in the previous session - http://tiny.cc/Course-Selection-Term-2
