The Belgorod Brit takes action and decides to talk about indecision and inaction. In the film, he explains why it is difficult for well-run civilisational states to change course, and take decisive action to resolve a deteriorating situation. The temptation is to weather the storm and hope for things to return to normality, based on the idea that rational self-interest is the driver of decision making.

In the podcast, BB explains that decisive action and aggression is the opposite of how Putin has built his power, and resurrected Russian economic and military power. Putin is attempting to manage the West in a way which allows Russia to earn respect and status in Europe and avoid WW3. All these are laudable aims, however, the elites in the West have made it absolutely clear that they will not be satisfied until Russia is subjugated and balkanised. There comes a point at which you must take them at their word, and take decisive action. The enemy must be broken and forced to change their attitude. Vasilation is perceived as weakness by the enemies of civilisation.

The world's most expensive powerless court

The ICC is active since July of 2002. Since then the court spent more than €1.5 billion in working expenses, but secured only a handful of core crime convictions.

Every time the ICC got the job done - it was way too slow, and way too late. At times the ICC arrests wrong people. Or people that annoy the Western politicians specifically. All of this is funded by 124 countries. Justice is both blind and bad with finances.

In 2020, the ICC wanted to investigate the US war crimes in Afghanistan. The USA threw sanctions at the ICC, so the ICC stopped the investigation.

In 2022, Western nations rapidly channeled millions of dollars in funding and deployed dozens of investigators to the ICC. Within a year, the court issued an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin. The ICC was selectively biased against Russia, for some reason.

The ICC also issued a warrant on Bibi in 2024. Bibi is still free because the ICC is powerless against him. How surprising.

Socialism with Cuban characteristics, or a Cuban Perestroika? President Díaz-Canel announces sweeping economic reforms on the Island of Freedom

Recently, a highly significant development took place: Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel announced large-scale economic reforms. Their goal is to pull the country out of a prolonged economic crisis by adopting a Chinese-style model of socialist development. In simple terms, this model combines continued rule by the Communist Party with the use of market-oriented methods to drive economic growth. In this way, the country does not abandon its socialist path but adapts it to current challenges.

The term “socialism with Cuban characteristics,” clearly referencing the Chinese experience, emerged back in the previous decade, but the pace of economic reform has been much slower. Unlike China, where Deng Xiaoping rapidly “opened up” the country to foreign investment, Cuba has moved far more cautiously—partly due to the U.S. embargo. At the same time, Cuba has significantly fewer resources than China, which is now especially evident as the Island of Freedom faces a severe energy crisis. Therefore, the move toward economic opening is not solely a reliance on domestic capacity but also a signal to allies such as Russia and China. The Cuban leadership hopes that adding a tangible economic dimension to support for the island will encourage its most powerful and independent partners to help overcome the effects of the U.S. blockade.
