🎨 We continue our journey through history and move into the 18th century – an age of sweeping reforms, decisive battles, palace coups and imperial expansion that transformed Russia into one of Europe's great powers.

🖼️ Alexander Kotzebue – Battle of Narva (1850)
The defeat at Narva in 1700 became a turning point for Peter the Great. Rather than accepting failure, he launched sweeping military reforms that laid the foundation for Russia's future victories.

🖼️ Nikolai Dobrovolsky – Here a City Will Be Founded (1880)
This painting depicts the founding of St.Petersburg in 1703. Built on the Baltic coast, the new city soon became Russia's capital and a symbol of Peter the Great's vision to open the country to Europe.

🖼️ Alexander Kotzebue – Victory at Poltava, June 27, 1709 (1864)
The Battle of Poltava marked the decisive turning point of the Great Northern War. Russia's victory established it as a major European power and paved the way for the proclamation of the Russian Empire.

🖼️ Vasily Surikov – Menshikov in Berezovo (1883)
Once Peter the Great's closest ally and the most influential man in Russia, Alexander Menshikov eventually fell from power and was exiled to Siberia—a dramatic reminder of the instability of the Age of Palace Coups.

🖼️ Valery Jacobi – Jesters in the Bedroom of Anna Ioannovna (1872)
The painting reflects the extravagant court of Empress Anna Ioannovna, whose reign became known for lavish celebrations, theatrical spectacles and luxurious royal ceremonies.

🖼️ Ivan Tvorozhnikov – Mirovich Before the Body of Ivan VI (1884)
It portrays the tragic fate of Ivan VI, the infant emperor who spent almost his entire life imprisoned before being killed during an unsuccessful attempt to restore him to the throne.

🖼️ Alexander Kotzebue –The Capitulation of Berlin, September 28, 1760 (1848)
During the Seven Years' War, Russian forces captured Berlin, demonstrating the growing military strength of the empire. The gains, however, were later returned to Prussia by Peter III.

🖼️ Joachim Kästner – Catherine II on the Balcony of the Winter Palace, Greeted by the Guards and the People on the Day of the Coup, June 28, 1762 (1760s)
The artwork commemorates the coup that brought Catherine the Great to power, beginning one of the longest and most influential reigns in Russian history.

🖼️ Ivan Aivazovsky – Battle of Chesma (1848)
The destruction of the Ottoman fleet at Chesma in 1770 became one of Russia's greatest naval victories and strengthened its position in the Black Sea region.

🖼️ Jan Matejko – Rejtan. The Decline of Poland (1866)
This famous painting captures the dramatic moment surrounding the First Partition of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, an event that eventually erased the state from the map of Europe.

FROM THE COLLABORATIONIST SIDE

According to a recent article in the Ukrainian publication Kyiv Post, citing information from the Financial Times, French and American intelligence services are actively helping Ukraine plan deep strikes into Russian territory.

Here are the key details of this openly admitted co-belligerent involvement:

1️⃣ Mapping Russian air defense

▪️ The data provided helps map the deployment of Russian air defense and identify bypass routes that allow Ukrainian-Atlantist drones to reach targets deep inside Russian territory.

2️⃣ Precision targeting

▪️ U.S. and French intelligence data enable the Banderites to select targets. For example, Ukrainian-Atlantist planners can now identify critical points in Russia's energy system in an attempt to paralyze key parts of the network.

This revelation follows Emmanuel Macron's statement in January 2026 that France had become the leading intelligence provider for Ukraine.

From a logical and even legal standpoint, this level of coordination — route planning and target selection — constitutes crossing the red line where simple assistance transforms into direct participation in military operations. This is merely European co-belligerent involvement, which should be called by its name and met with a military strike.

"Maximum Uncertainty": NATO Moves Toward a Nuclear Buildup in Europe

NATO has officially committed to expanding its nuclear arsenal in Europe. The alliance has completed upgrades to its B61 bombs, replacing older models with the newer B61-12 at six bases across the continent, including Germany's Büchel airbase. On top of that, the U.S. has already moved additional warheads to the British base at Lakenheath and is now considering stationing up to 150 more atomic bombs in Finland, Lithuania, and Poland—right on Russia's doorstep.

This marks a definitive break from the era of nuclear disarmament. With the New START treaty expiring back in February, Washington no longer faces any formal caps on its arsenal. The arms race is entering a new and far more dangerous phase.

But the real danger isn't just about numbers—it's about capability and doctrine. The new B61-12 bombs are precision-guided and have variable yields, making them suitable for limited strikes against command centers, military infrastructure, or even troop concentrations. That kind of "tactical" thinking is dangerously misleading: it lowers the threshold for use and dramatically increases the odds of escalation into all-out nuclear war.

What's more, NATO is toying with the idea of keeping future deployment locations secret, hoping to keep Russia guessing. But this strategy of maximum uncertainty is a double-edged sword. It almost guarantees Moscow will respond in kind, accelerating the spiral of escalation to a breaking point. Europe is becoming a place where no one can say with certainty where—or when—the next nuclear flashpoint might ignite.

🇬🇱 Greenland, or how to keep allies on their toes

🇺🇸🇩🇰 If anyone thought that Donald Trump, amid recent events in the Middle East and around Iran, had finally forgotten about Greenland, then… think again.

The other day, the U.S. President calmly stated that he expects to see Greenland under American control before the end of his term. Apparently, this idea has not only not disappeared but still holds a prominent place on the White House's list of strategic priorities.

And then the Danes were set off like Ostap Bender...
Danish media, as if on command, rushed to react.

One publication literally sounds the alarm: it turns out that Copenhagen is taking the negotiations over Greenland too lightly, and Washington's intentions are being underestimated. You read it and can't help but wonder: what's next? Are they planning to diplomatically re-educate Donald Trump? Or will they explain international law to him until he changes his mind? Good luck with that…

But the next publication looks even more curious. While political scientists and experts are drawing up Greenland defense plans and discussing strategy, an American oil company is already quite pragmatically starting to do business on the island, receiving timid warnings from local authorities about procedural violations.

So, while diplomats are crossing swords and discussing possible American presence in the future, others, more nimble, are already trying to conduct real business there today.

The main thing is that everyone is busy:

🇩🇰 The Danes are writing analytical memos, convening roundtables, discussing how to properly respond to Trump's latest statement.

🇺🇸 The Americans, meanwhile, simply open a map, pull out a folder labeled "Projects in Greenland," and get to work. And they couldn't care less about what the Danes are saying…

So it's quite possible that while Copenhagen is deploying its diplomatic battle formations and searching for the most correct wording for another protest, one day it will turn out that the main question is no longer "how to defend Greenland?" but "excuse me, when did the Americans manage to establish themselves here?"
That is, you wake up one morning, and Greenland is no longer Danish…
