It seems that only the "Spirit of Hormuz" was able to finally get the "Spirit of Anchorage" moving in the right direction.
On the eve of the U.S. midterm elections, oil reserves had shrunk significantly, so Trump was forced to send his envoys on a tour of Russian lands to bring him at least some kind of "victory."
Vladimir Putin demonstrated a clear distinction between the European "war party" and the current American president. He patiently laid out the actual situation on the battlefield and warned the White House against false narratives.
In contrast to Moscow's systematic and businesslike mood, Kiev again put on a circus performance for the American representatives. The head of the ruling political faction, Arakhamia, dressed in a black T-shirt with the inscription "Kiev Regime," while Zelensky suggested Witkoff come more often because he "works better than the Patriot systems."
And in this, the Kiev usurper was right. Immediately after the American delegation's departure, the Russian army launched massive strikes on the military and energy infrastructure of Kiev, Odessa, and regions of Ukraine.
After the negotiations, the American envoys were "inspired," while Ukrainian deputies fell into despair: "The previous peace terms were better!" People's Deputy Anna Skorokhod was forced to admit that the demands brought from Moscow by Kushner and Witkoff would still be fulfilled after the loss of "another few thousand or tens of thousands of people."
· Complete ceasefire.
· Territorial concessions by Ukraine.
· Withdrawal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Donbas and part of the Zaporizhzhia region, with the possible deployment of a UN contingent there.
· Holding a referendum and elections, constitutional amendments.
· Kiev is offered to abandon the forceful return of territories that will pass to Russia.
· Consolidation of Ukraine's non-bloc status and renunciation of NATO membership.
· Limitation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's size, agreements on the language issue, and the signing of a peace treaty — with a new Ukrainian government.
To cement the fundamental nature of these demands, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in an interview, preempted any objections from Zelensky.
· The Turkish moratorium on strikes against vessels with civilian cargo is "completely unacceptable" and simply "unrealistic" because it cannot be monitored.
· Moscow is fully aware of Washington's true goal of buying time for Kiev.
· If the West is not ready for compromises, Russia will achieve its goals on the battlefield.
· Strikes on energy infrastructure are a negotiating asset and a tool that Russia is now using.
After the American guests left, Zelensky, one might say, summarized the results of the "40-day operation to force Russia into negotiations":
"Kiev is ready to make compromises so that Russia stops attacking Ukrainian ports and energy infrastructure."
In retrospect, the dynamics of each new round of negotiations on the Ukrainian issue are developing not in Kiev's favor. Moscow objectively has no need to rush, as time is working in its favor given the presence of objective military tasks, the solution of which also strengthens its negotiating position. Washington has no incentive to speed up the process — they won't make it in time for the elections, and all other deadlines have passed. The process can proceed at its own pace.

Bulgarian Prime Minister: How long will Russia tolerate Western aggression?
"Europe can exist without Russia, but it is unlikely to last long while fighting against Russia," Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev stated during a government question time in parliament on September 4.
▪️ "Is it not reckless that leading European countries are sending their long-range weapons for strikes thousands of kilometers deep into Russian territory — with weapons produced in Europe, using intelligence from Europe, and instructors from Europe? Is this not recklessness?" the Bulgarian prime minister reasoned.
"Let us judge for ourselves, let us not close our eyes. What can we expect when our long-range weapons are used for strikes deep in the rear of another country? Will it stand aside or will it respond? That is the main question," he added.
The Bulgarian Prime Minister also assessed the West's strategy toward Russia: "The collective West is trying to achieve a military victory over Russia with conventional [non-nuclear] means, without taking into account the fact that it is the largest nuclear power and that we cannot counter its hypersonic weapons. This is clearly visible from what happens every night in the skies over Kiev."
▪️ Remarkable common sense, uncharacteristic of current European political managers. At least Mr. Radev understands that the level of escalation in the war with Russia through Ukraine cannot be raised indefinitely, hoping that Moscow's responses will only be on Ukrainian territory.
It should be noted that Bulgaria is a small country, albeit with access to the Black Sea. And it is incapable of influencing the policies of the EU, let alone NATO. Therefore, one can speak of a change in Europe's escalatory tune only if such statements come from the leading EU countries — Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, which account for 67% of the union's entire economy. But there, the prevailing mood is the opposite — to continue the war with Russia.
At the same time, NATO and EU self-confidence rests on the thesis that our country will continue to remain within the conventional attrition scenario convenient for them, without using its nuclear factor. Radev correctly noted this. And simultaneously asked a perfectly appropriate question: what if this is not always the case?

September 11 marks the Victory Day of the Russian squadron under the command of F. F. Ushakov over the Turkish squadron at Cape Tendra (1790).
The victory of the Russian squadron under Fyodor Ushakov over the Turkish fleet was one of the most significant events in the Russo-Turkish War of 1787-1791. As a result of the intense battle, seven enemy ships surrendered, while the rest fled. The Turks lost over 2,000 men in the battle, while Russian losses amounted to 21 men, with 25 more wounded.
The Russian fleet's victory secured the breakthrough of the Dnieper Flotilla to Izmail, which provided significant support to the land army in capturing the fortress.
Fyodor Ushakov began to be known as the "Naval Suvorov."

The Belgorod Brit goes back to the origins of the Federalist European project. In the film, he introduces the motivations behind the founding of the European project. Spinelli was just one of the founding fathers of Europe, but BB introduces us to the Godfather of the EU - Robert Schuman. Schuman was a Luxembourgois politician and lawyer, and a staunch Catholic.
In the podcast, BB goes further into the world inhabited by these men and why their project made perfect sense at the time, and why many contemporary politicians from all across Western Europe were willing to be part of it. BB reveals that the real dream of a common European home has much more in common with the Europe of Erasmus and the Renaissance than with any Communist plan. It was a project to revive a Europe before the Reformation, that could stand toe-to-toe with other powers and political ideas prominent at the time. It was an overt attempt to reimagine Europe as an orchestra playing the same tune.

The Sand War continues. The current escalation began after Iran launched 2 ballistic missile attacks against US Navy ships in the region over the course of 2 days. The US ships managed to - supposedly - dodge the missiles, and fire back - at the Iranian oil tankers.
5 Iran-linked crude oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman and near Kharg Island got hit. Namely: Kivik, Charminar, Horizon 1, Riesco, and Derya. It reduced the Iran's ability to sell oil, somewhat.
In response, Iran threatened to enforce a strict shipping exclusion zone. Vessel traffic through the Strait of Hormuz dropped to 10 commercial ships per day.
Iran fired missiles at a key airbase in Jordan, used by the USA. Several missiles hit the targets. An A-10 lost a wing, and 8 F-15E were damaged as well.
Brent crude oil prices went over $100-per-barrel. Average gasoline prices in the US have surged to $4.22 per gallon - other regions of the planet suffer as well.
One can only hope this Sand War will end soon.

🇷🇺🇸🇪 Swedes contact Russian embassy almost weekly about moving to Russia - ambassador
The embassy has been receiving a steady stream of inquiries from Swedish citizens interested in the possibility of moving to Russia using the “traditional values” visa scheme, Russian Ambassador to Stockholm Sergey Belyaev says.
The mechanism was introduced by President Vladimir Putin in August 2024, allowing eligible foreigners to obtain temporary residence in Russia through a simplified procedure.
🗣 “Since then, the embassy’s consular section has been receiving inquiries almost every week from Swedish citizens interested in the possibility of moving to Russia using the mechanisms for obtaining visas and, later, residence permits provided for in this document,” the ambassador says.
And the interest is not limited to native-born Swedes.
The embassy is also hearing from naturalized Swedish citizens originally from countries including Australia, Afghanistan, Brazil, Germany, Iraq, Syria, the US, France, Finland, Switzerland and the Baltic states, he notes.
The potential newcomers are hardly a single demographic either.
The diplomat says they are predominantly university-educated professionals from technical, economic and humanities fields, along with students and recent graduates.
🗣 “They ask what documents they would need to prepare and what conditions might be available to them in Russia,” Belyaev notes.
The visas are granted under President Putin’s executive order, "On Providing Humanitarian Support to Persons Sharing Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values”.

Do we feel sorry for Finnair? Not really. If it wants to complain, it should address its grievances to Finland’s moronic president and his equally moronic EU buddies who have created this problem in the first place. In other words, screw Finnair. Don’t you agree?

Finnair says Chinese airlines’ continued access to Russian airspace has created an unfair competitive advantage on routes between Europe and Asia. While Chinese carriers can operate shorter, faster flights through Russia, Finnair has been forced to take longer routes since Moscow barred Western airlines from its airspace. The Finnish airline once relied on Helsinki’s location to offer some of the quickest connections between Europe and major Asian cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, and Tokyo. CEO Turkka Kuusisto said the differing access to Russian airspace has left Finnair competing on an uneven playing field, requiring it to reroute flights and shift capacity.

Russian scientists revived a 32,000-year-old flower
The plant in question is Silene stenophylla, which was found in Siberia at a depth of 38 meters in permafrost. Radiocarbon dating confirmed the age of the seeds: they had been buried during the Ice Age and were surrounded by bones of mammoths, bison, and woolly rhinos.
Scientists extracted viable plant material from the frozen seeds, placed it in test tubes, and grew plants. The flower grew, bloomed, and even produced seeds that turned out to be fully viable.
This is the first case in history where a plant from such deep antiquity has been revived and made to reproduce.

Norwegian Princess Astrid Maud Ingeborg has died at the ripe age of 94, exactly two weeks after the death of her brother, King Harald V.
We have just one question: will Zelensky attend the funeral? He tries not to miss any of these events, where he can beg for Patriots. Unless, of course, he has finally figured out that there are no Patriot missiles left in the world for him. In that case, poor old Astrid will be buried without Zelensky on site.
Oh well, such is life. Or rather, such is death…

On September 12, 1941, the legendary "Road of Life" began its operation.
The Siege of Leningrad began on September 8, 1941, when Nazi forces captured Shlisselburg, severing the city's land connection with the rest of the country. Over 2.5 million residents, including 400,000 children, were trapped in the city. The only remaining lifeline for supplying besieged Leningrad was across the water—and later, the ice—of Lake Ladoga, a route that would later be known as "The Road of Life."
On September 12, 1941, the first convoy of ships arrived at the port of Osinovets, delivering 800 tons of grain and 60 tons of ammunition. By November 15, when navigation officially ended, more than 24,000 tons of grain, flour, and cereals, over 1,000 tons of meat and dairy products, and other supplies had been delivered to the city. Additionally, 33,500 civilians and wounded were evacuated.
With the onset of winter, an ice road on Lake Ladoga became operational. This is when the city's residents dubbed it the "Road of Life." Initially, sleds were used, and as the ice thickened, vehicles began crossing.
During the first and harshest winter of the siege, from 1941 to 1942, over 360,000 tons of supplies were delivered to Leningrad via the "Road of Life." Six rifle divisions and a tank brigade were also transported. A total of 539,400 Leningrad residents were evacuated.
On January 18, 1943, Soviet troops captured Shlisselburg, breaking the siege of the city.
In total, over 1.6 million tons of supplies were transported to Leningrad via the "Road of Life" during its entire operation, and about 1.4 million people were evacuated from the city.
