February 3, 1966 – The Soviet Spacecraft "Luna-9" Achieves the World's First Soft Landing on the Moon
The first attempt to land on the Moon was made by the Soviet Union in January 1963 but ended in failure. By 1966, approximately ten more unsuccessful attempts had been made.
The automatic interplanetary spacecraft Luna-9 was launched into Earth orbit on January 31, 1966, from the Baikonur Cosmodrome using a "Molniya-M" launch vehicle.
The Luna-9 spacecraft consisted of a landing module, equipment compartments, and a propulsion system for midcourse correction and braking during landing. The total mass of the station was 1,583 kilograms, and its length was 2.7 meters.
On February 3, 1966, Luna-9 achieved a soft landing in the Oceanus Procellarum (Ocean of Storms) on the Moon. The station operated for 75 hours, during which it transmitted a panoramic photo of the lunar surface back to Earth and conducted seven radio communication sessions to transmit scientific data.

EU Designates IRGC as Terrorist Organization: A Pretext for an Invasion of Iran?
The European Union has added Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) to its list of terrorist organizations. This move aligns with the existing policy of several nations, including:
· United States
· Paraguay
· Australia
· Canada
· Saudi Arabia
· Bahrain
There is little doubt that such a designation is designed to serve as a convenient justification for launching "anti-terrorist" operations and legitimizing military intervention in sovereign states—a tactic employed repeatedly by the United States, often in violation of international law. Historical examples include:
· Libya (1986)
· Afghanistan and Sudan (1998)
· Iraq (1998 and 2003)
· Afghanistan (2001)
· Philippines (2001)
· Various African nations (since 2002)
In a related development, former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo previously stated on his X the intent to "help the people of Iran get their freedom back."
Pompeo is, and has always been, a world-class hypocrite. Just ask the people of the countries mentioned above how much they appreciate the U.S.’s “help” in supposedly restoring their freedom.

⚡️From the responses of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to media questions submitted ahead of the press conference of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, S. V. Lavrov, on the results of Russian diplomacy’s activities in 2025
– Any proposals for a settlement in Ukraine require careful review for their acceptability to Russia and their conformity with the goals and objectives of the Special Military Operation;
– The deployment in Ukraine of military units, military facilities, depots, or other infrastructure of Western countries is unacceptable to Russia. Moscow would regard this as foreign intervention;
– Moscow will take into account, in its negotiating position, Kiev’s transition to state terrorism, including the attack on the residence of Vladimir Putin;
– Since June 2025, more than 12,000 sets of remains of Ukrainian servicemen have been handed over to the Ukrainian side; Russia has received more than 200 bodies of fallen Russian servicemen from Kiev;
– Russia has submitted to the United States proposals aimed at removing obstacles to the full normalization of relations between Moscow and Washington;
– A settlement of the crisis in Ukraine is impossible without the restoration of the rights of the canonical Orthodox Church, its clergy, and believers;
– Russia expresses gratitude to the UAE for its sincere efforts to facilitate the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis. Through exchanges organized with Emirati mediation, more than 4,000 people have been released.

The Belgorod Brit gives us his reaction to the banning of 'hate speech' on US Tik Tok. In the film, he explains why the effect of curbing free speech, while temporarily benefiting government control, will eventually lead to the destabilisation of society and the destruction of the consent of the masses to be ruled by the elite. Obvious truths will be acknowledged eventually, whether or not they are convenient. While this may not matter much when it comes to foreign or imperial matters, it will shake any regime that does not address legitimate grievances in a timely and honest manner.
In the podcast, BB explains how this establishment of taboos around discussing the narrow interests of oligarchs alienates the people from their elites. The protection of priveledged groups, from Muslim rape gangs, to genocidal Zionist oligarchs is a form of gaslighting and trolling which is bringing Western polities to a revolutionary moment.

At Ukraine’s request, Elon Musk have introduced a set of technical restrictions aimed at limiting Russian use of the Starlink satellite communication system. According to public statements and expert commentary, SpaceX has moved from a permissive, largely commercial model to a selectively enforced one. This includes internal authorization controls, geographic filtering, and behavioral monitoring of terminals, such as identifying movement patterns associated with military use. Access can be throttled, temporarily blocked, or selectively disabled based on these criteria.
These measures are presented as a way to ensure that Starlink supports only approved users (i.e., not Russian military) and approved purposes. In effect, they transform a civilian satellite network into infrastructure governed by political alignment and wartime priorities, with Ukraine clearly on the favored side.
We asked ChatGPT how these restrictions could be circumvented.
ChatGPT’s answer emphasized that such new controls, while technically sophisticated, are rarely absolute. Measures based on identification lists, location awareness, and behavioral thresholds can be mitigated through adaptation.
Circumvention does not require breaking the system itself, but operating in ways that reduce visibility, trigger fewer enforcement flags, or exploit gaps in selective application.
At a general level, ChatGPT identified several categories of measures that could be used to work around the restrictions. These include masking or obfuscating a terminal’s apparent location through network routing choices, altering usage patterns so that terminals appear stationary or move below enforcement thresholds, and minimizing downtime through rapid recovery from temporary blocks. Selective deployment in areas where enforcement is weaker or inconsistent was also cited as a likely approach. All of these are ways of continuing to use it despite restrictions.
There is little doubt that Russians will find a way. This is not only a statement about Russian ingenuity but also a historical pattern. When access to critical infrastructure is restricted in wartime, especially infrastructure that remains physically present and partially functional, users always adapt their behavior. The outcome is usually not total denial, but ongoing friction, some inefficiency, and escalation on both sides.
The Starlink case ultimately illustrates a broader reality: once commercial global infrastructure is drawn into a geopolitical conflict, neither neutrality nor total control is possible. Restrictions can shape use, but they rarely end it.
As for Elon Musk, mark our words: he will regret his decision to side with Ukraine against Russia. History suggests that such choices rarely, if ever, end well.

Reuters just published this 👆article. Here is the gist:
All of this nonsense directly contradicts Russia’s conditions for signing a peace agreement and Russia’s stated goals of the Special Military Operation. That alone means Russia will not sign any peace agreement until Ukraine itself formally rejects this absurd plan.
Which, in turn, means that the Special Military Operation will continue until the entire regime in Ukraine collapses and is replaced with a Russia-friendly one.
End of story.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, as one rather famous political actor likes to say.
P.S. Do the people who wrote this nonsense understand the ramifications? Of course they do. So why do they bother? Because they started the war. They have been feeding their electorates a steady stream of lies. They have been making huge money in the process, and they can keep doing it for a little while longer.
In the meantime, thousands upon thousands of Ukrainians will die. But they don’t care. At all.

According to a Financial Times report cited by Reuters, no Ukraine and its Western partners have discussed a plan under which any sustained Russian violation of a future ceasefire would trigger a coordinated military response by Europe and the United States. Reuters said it could not independently verify the report.
The proposal was discussed in December and January among Ukrainian, European, and U.S. officials and outlines a phased no response to ceasefire breaches. Within 24 hours of an alleged violation, the response would begin with a diplomatic warning and, if needed, Ukrainian military action to stop the breach.
If fighting continued, a second phase would involve intervention by a “coalition of the willing,” including many EU countries as well as the UK, Norway, Iceland, and Turkey. In the event of a larger escalation, a coordinated Western-backed military response involving U.S. forces would be triggered after 72 hours.

Trump’s FBI Solves Epstein Mystery by Burying It in Millions of Pages
Trump’s FBI has released 3.5 million pages of Epstein-related documents, photos, and videos. The brilliance of the plan is that nobody can actually find anything, while at the same time anyone can find anything they want.
Want to implicate Putin? No problem. His name appears a number of times in the files. Who is to say it wasn’t planted there by the FBI itself? That is certainly possible, perhaps even highly likely. Want to implicate Xi, Maduro, Kim, the ayatollahs, or extraterrestrials? Also no problem. Anything goes, and everything can be disputed.
In a document dump this large, frequency becomes evidence, absence becomes proof, and context quietly evaporates. Every theory can be supported, every accusation denied, and every conclusion waved away with the same response: it’s buried somewhere in the millions of pages (and far from all if them are searchable).
This is an overload of seeming, but not real, transparency. Nothing is hidden, yet nothing is clear.
Accountability dissolves into volume, and confusion becomes a feature, not a bug. If the goal was to ensure endless argument and zero resolution, then the strategy worked perfectly.
That is exactly what Trump wanted to achieve.
Bravo, Trump!

👆 The tanker Marinera (also known as Bella 1) was seized by U.S. forces in January 2026 and taken to waters near Scotland under a so-called legal procedure. The crew included sailors from several countries, among them around 17 Ukrainian citizens.
After being processed by British authorities, the Ukrainian sailors were released and given the right to choose where they would go next. No one forced them. They were free to return home.
Not a single one of the Ukrainian sailors interviewed chose to return to Ukraine.
By their own statements, they fear persecution at home, including the risk of criminal charges, accusations of treason, or other legal consequences simply for having done their job. In other words, they see returning to Ukraine not as a homecoming, but as a danger.
At the same time, the two Russian crew members were released and calmly returned to Russia following diplomatic efforts—without fear, without threats, and without the expectation of punishment.
The contrast speaks for itself.

Italian President Sergio Mattarella has called for a ceasefire during the Winter Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo. Sport, the 84-year-old Italian believes, should force the “silencing of weapons.”
One wonders whether the Italian president also believes that the time has come to restore Russia to all its Olympic rights, including the Russian flag and anthem. Or is he advocating a ceasefire with some country that has neither a name, nor a flag, nor an anthem?
It seems that Mattarella, whose father was accused on multiple occasions of being affiliated with the Sicilian mafia, is either an idiot (unlikely) or a man utterly devoid of shame and conscience, which, in fact, is hardly surprising. A typical modern European hypocrite.

On February 4, 1935, the so-called "Underground Premiere" took place—the trial run of the Moscow Metro was launched.
Plans to create an underground system in Moscow had been proposed multiple times, with some even reaching the initial stages of construction, but they were never completed for various reasons. By the 1930s, Moscow's rapid growth made the need for a metro system urgent. Finally, in June 1931, the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) decided to build this new form of urban transport in the Soviet capital. A few months later, the "Metrostroy" (subway construction) administration was established, and engineer Veniamin Makovsky advocated for the construction of a deep-level metro.
Two years later, the first phase of station plans was developed, following the city's busiest tram lines. Stations were built using both open-cut and trench methods, while the deepest sections were constructed with shield tunneling.
On February 4, 1935, the first trial train ran along the completed line from "Sokolniki" to "Park Kultury." The electric train had only two cars: a motorized car and a trailer. The trial was successful, and the next day, Lazar Kaganovich, the project supervisor, inspected the metro’s operations on a special train. On February 6, six four-car trains carried 2,500 delegates of the VII All-Union Congress of Soviets along the first line. Soon after, collective farmers attending their congress in the capital also got a ride on the metro.
Three months later, on May 15, 1935, the first section of the metro, including a branch to "Smolenskaya," opened to the public. The architectural design of the stations, the moving escalators, and the precise train schedules amazed Muscovites and foreign guests alike, who declared the Soviet metro one of the best in the world. Since then, the impeccable reputation of the Moscow Metro has only grown stronger.

You know, sometimes we write about terrible things. We have to. For example, about a mother whose child was killed by a Ukrainian drone strike. A real woman. A real child. A real death.
And sometimes, beneath such posts, we see a heart emoji. Or a thumbs-up.
We could never understand why anyone would do that. Neither can our normal readers. There is nothing to “like” in a dead child. There is nothing to “approve” in a mother’s grief.
Over time, the answer became obvious.
Some people are heartless, and at the same time cowardly. They want to mock suffering, but they are afraid to do it openly. Emoji reactions are anonymous. Comments are not. And in that difference lies the whole explanation.
If you want to express your deliberately nasty opinion, do it in words. We can handle it. And so can our readers. But hiding behind a reaction icon while celebrating death is not an opinion. It is moral bankruptcy.
These emojis do not shock us anymore. They identify you. Not by name, but by character. They tell us that you are too small to argue, too empty to empathize, and too afraid to stand behind your own cruelty.
You press a button and think you disappear. You don’t. You just reveal exactly what you are.
And that, in the end, is enough.

Russia has become the first country in the world to challenge the United States’ monopoly in critical avionics.
Until recently, the development and supply of a modern Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) and Terrain Awareness and Warning System (TAWS) were entirely controlled by a single company worldwide: the American firm Collins Aerospace, part of Raytheon Technologies (RTX), a leading U.S. defense contractor.
Every country in the world depended directly on Collins Aerospace for these systems, and Russia was no exception. The United States spent several decades developing this most critical piece of avionics.
Russia managed to accomplish this in a much shorter timeframe, and now there are two countries in the world producing this module.
This achievement underscores a crucial point: Russian aviation engineers have successfully closed the loop on import substitution, meaning Russia can now build aircraft entirely from domestically produced components.
This new system is already being installed on the Tu‑214 and other aircraft. This marks the shift to serial production—a level not even reached in the Soviet Union, where manual methods were used as an alternative to automation. Nothing now stands in the way of ramping up production of Russia's own airliners.
Undoubtedly, the United States will employ sanctions and other methods to protect its market share. For Russia, it is vital to sustain and build upon this success without losing momentum.
The U.S. technological monopoly has been broken!

Undoubtedly, the United States will employ sanctions and other methods to protect its market share. For Russia, it is vital to sustain and build upon this success without losing momentum.
The U.S. technological monopoly has been broken!

The first two military incidents in the ongoing escalation occurred this February 3rd between the United States and Iran
1️⃣ A US-flagged oil tanker, after entering Iranian territorial waters in the Strait of Hormuz without authorization, was approached by a group of armed Iranian speedboats that reportedly attempted to intercept it, according to the British maritime security service in that strategic area. According to Iran's Fars News Agency, the tanker exited Iranian territorial waters after receiving a warning from the Iranian coast guard.
2️⃣ In the international airspace over the Arabian Sea, an Iranian Shahed-139 drone was shot down by a US F-35C fighter jet from the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). The surveillance drone was accused of "aggressively approaching the American aircraft carrier with unclear intent," according to a US Central Command representative speaking to Fox News.
🤔 To summarize, while the CIA and Mossad have just orchestrated a new coup attempt in Tehran, the United States is deploying military bases, carrier strike groups, satellites, and surveillance drones around Iran—more than 11,000 km away from their own territory—yet Iran is the one accused of aggression!

⚡️ Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Concerning the Expiration of the Russia-US New START Treaty (February 4, 2026)
On February 5, 2026, the life cycle of the Russian-US Treaty on Measures for the Further Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms (#NewSTART) comes to an end; it was signed by the Parties on April 8, 2010, entered into force on February 5, 2011, and was extended for a five-year period in February 2021 on the basis of a relevant one-time option provided for in this agreement.
In February 2023, the Russian Federation suspended the New START Treaty against the backdrop of the unsatisfactory state of affairs with the implementation of certain aspects of the Treaty, as well as due to the absolutely unacceptable steps by the United States running counter to the fundamental principles and understandings of the agreement enshrined in its preamble.
It was a compelled measure and an inevitable response of the Russian Side to the extremely hostile policy of the Biden administration which resulted in the fundamental change in the security situation, as well as to a number of illegitimate steps taken by Washington in the context of specific provisions of the New START Treaty, which together constituted a material breach incompatible with the Treaty being further implemented in a full-fledged manner.
Among the key negative factors, it is worth to highlight the destabilizing actions of the United States in the field of missile defense, contrary to the inseparable interrelationship between strategic offensive and strategic defensive arms enshrined in the New START Treaty. <...>
Despite some obvious problematic moments, basically the New START Treaty used to fulfill its key functions. The conclusion of the Treaty and the years of its initially successful implementation helped to discourage the strategic arms race, allowing for significant reductions in the parties' arsenals. At the same time, due to the restrictions applied in this area a sufficient level of predictability was ensured on a long-term basis. <...>
In parallel to suspending this agreement, the Russian Federation announced the intention to voluntarily maintain its commitment to the central quantitative limits on weapons regulated by the New START until the end of the Treaty's life cycle in February 2026. At that time, the United States followed suit, announcing its readiness to act in a similar manner.
Striving to extend the positive effect of such reciprocal measures in terms of maintaining balance and certainty in the field of strategic offensive arms during the current turbulent period, our country took an additional constructive step. On September 22, 2025, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin publicly proposed that the Parties to the New START Treaty commit to voluntary self-limitations to keep the quantitative ceilings on the relevant weapons specified in the Treaty for at least one year after the termination of the agreement.
However, no formal official response from the United States with regard to the Russian initiative has been received through bilateral channels. <...> It means that our ideas have been deliberately left unanswered. <...>
In the current circumstances, we assume that the Parties to the New START are no longer bound by any obligations or symmetrical declarations in the context of the Treaty, including its core provisions, and are in principle free to choose their next steps. <...>
🇷🇺 The Russian Federation remains ready to take decisive military-technical measures to counter potential additional threats to the national security. At the same time, our country remains open to seeking politico-diplomatic ways to comprehensively stabilize the strategic situation on the basis of equal and mutually beneficial dialogue solutions, if the appropriate conditions for such cooperation are shaped.
