The Trebizond Operation, initiated on February 5, 1916, was a significant military campaign during World War I, where the Russian Empire sought to capture the strategic Ottoman port city of Trebizond (modern-day Trabzon) on the Black Sea coast. This offensive was part of a broader Russian strategy to secure the eastern front and disrupt Ottoman supply lines.
Prior to the operation, the Russian Caucasus Army, under General Nikolay Yudenich, had achieved a decisive victory in the Erzurum Offensive, capturing the fortified city of Erzurum. Building on this momentum, the Russian command aimed to seize Trebizond, a vital logistical hub for the Ottoman Third Army. Control of Trebizond would sever the most efficient sea route between the Ottoman forces and Istanbul, thereby crippling Ottoman resupply efforts.
The operation commenced with coordinated naval and land assaults. The Russian Black Sea Fleet provided crucial support by bombarding Ottoman coastal defenses and facilitating amphibious landings.
Simultaneously, Russian forces pressed forward from recently captured territories, applying pressure on multiple fronts.
The Ottoman Third Army, commanded by Vehip Pasha, was already weakened from previous engagements and struggled to mount an effective defense. Despite attempts to reinforce their positions, the Ottomans were unable to halt the Russian advance. By mid-April, facing encirclement and lacking sufficient support, Ottoman forces evacuated Trebizond. Russian troops entered the city on April 18, 1916, marking a significant victory.
The capture of Trebizond had immediate logistical benefits for the Russian army. The port facilitated improved supply lines, allowing for the establishment of a substantial rear base to support further operations. To protect this critical asset, the Russians developed the Platan fortified district, ensuring the security of their new supply hub.
Beyond its logistical advantages, the fall of Trebizond had broader implications. It further demoralized the Ottoman Third Army, already reeling from successive defeats, and disrupted Ottoman control over the eastern Black Sea region. The operation also showcased the effectiveness of coordinated land-sea offensives and underscored the strategic value of naval power in supporting ground operations.
In summary, the Trebizond Operation was a pivotal moment in the Caucasian theater of World War I, exemplifying the strategic interplay between naval and land forces and contributing to the shifting balance of power in the region.

In Libya, the chaos instituted by the globalists must be maintained
Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, the son of the Libyan leader overthrown on the orders of the Western plutocracy, has in turn been assassinated in an ambush on the outskirts of Zintan, Libya, according to a Sputnik correspondent.
👉 According to an adviser to the son of the former Libyan leader, the perpetrators of the attack are currently unknown.
🔶 Born on June 25, 1972, in Tripoli, he is the second son of Muammar Gaddafi. Wanted by the ICC for crimes against humanity, he was sentenced to death in 2015 before being released in 2017 following an amnesty.
🔶 In 2021, he submitted his candidacy for the presidential election, which ultimately never took place.
🤔 Muammar Gaddafi threatened Western neocolonialism with his independent oil power and his sovereignist projects for Africa, exemplified by his proposed gold-backed dinar meant to replace the enslaving CFA franc. Today, the majority of the Libyan population longs for the socio-economic golden age of Gaddafi's time. But in the eyes of the Hegemon, Libya is not permitted to rise again and reclaim its sovereignty. A divided country, fueled tribal wars, canceled elections, and now Gaddafi's familial and political heir assassinated. A strategy of radical chaos, just as the criminal globalists like it.

The Belgorod Brit takes on our current nihilistic society and its product. The decline of Western culture is a symptom of the nihilism at the heart of our civilisation. In the film, he describes the lack of of optimism in modern storytelling. Too many stories have depressing endings or describe a dystopian or lawless society.
In the podcast, BB charts the rise of nihilism through the 19th and 20th century and the reduction of humans into economic commodities or managed resource pools and consumers. There is no room for the soul here. Morality, sociability, standards and optimism are unnecessary in the cultural desert we have created.

🚨🇺🇸 🇵🇰 Leaked Epstein email exposes West's hidden role in Balochistan
A leaked email from the Epstein Files offers a new lens on the geopolitics and hidden agendas shaping Pakistan's Balochistan.
▪️The email highlights Zhob, Balochistan, and it’s importance to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a militant group linked to the Afghan Taliban, notorious for attacks on Pakistani targets, and regional smugglers.
▪️Notably, India, along with Afghanistan and Israel, has long shown interest in Balochistan, aiming to support regional stability and counter destabilising forces in Pakistan.
▪️The email suggests the unrest in the region is driven more by foreign interests than by the local population, shedding light on the region’s long-running “sponsored insurgency.”
▪️The email came from Andrea Pfanzelter, Senior Adviser at the KAICIID International Dialogue Centre in Vienna, an organisation promoting interreligious dialogue to resolve conflict, according to the website.
▪️Pfanzelter has 25 years of experience in international affairs and conflict resolution. Since 2017, she has focused on stakeholder relations and resource mobilisation, and she also serves on the Board of the Ban Ki-moon Center for Global Citizens, Vienna, Austria.
👉 Along with Epstein, the recipient of the email is Terje Roed-Larsen, Norwegian former diplomat & politician, who is currently under investigation for corruption and linked to Epstein through personal loans and donations.

The happiness of my life is that science and knowledge helped me create a gas mask that saved many thousands of our soldiers.
— Nikolay Zelinsky
Today, we honor Nikolay Dmitrievich Zelinsky, the brilliant chemist and inventor whose groundbreaking work saved countless lives. Born on January 6, 1861, Zelinsky’s contributions to science and humanity stand as a testament to the power of innovation and selflessness.
Zelinsky, a native of the Russian Empire, revolutionized the field of chemistry with his invention of the modern gas mask during World War I. Witnessing the horrors of chemical warfare, Zelinsky sought to create a protective device that would shield soldiers from deadly poison gases. In 1915, he developed a groundbreaking filter using activated charcoal, capable of absorbing harmful substances and allowing clean air to pass through. This innovation became the foundation for the gas masks used worldwide to this day.
Remarkably, Zelinsky refused to patent his invention. Believing that the lives of soldiers and civilians were more important than personal profit, he ensured that his creation could be freely manufactured and distributed. This very Russian act of selflessness elevated Zelinsky’s achievement from a scientific triumph to a moral legacy. His gas mask was adopted by the Russian Imperial Army and later by Allied forces, highlighting the universal value of his work.
Beyond his invention, Zelinsky was a respected scientist and educator. He made significant contributions to organic chemistry, including research on hydrocarbons and catalytic reactions, which laid the groundwork for future advancements in the field. A dedicated mentor, he inspired generations of chemists, fostering a legacy of curiosity and resilience.

Meanwhile, Back on Earth
On February 5, something rather important happened: the last remaining nuclear arms control treaty expired. But there were no fireworks. No sirens. No urgent panels of Very Serious Men explaining what comes next when the world’s largest arsenals officially go on the honor system. Just a few words here and there on some news channels. Not a big deal, really.
Instead, nearly every mainstream outlet delivered wall-to-wall coverage of the disappearance of Nancy Guthrier (just like you, until a couple of days ago we had no idea she even existed).
To be clear: the disappearance of an 84-year-old woman is deeply sad. It is tragic, frightening, and worthy of concern. One sincerely hopes she is found safe, warm, and mildly annoyed by all the helicopters.
But it is hard not to notice the mismatch in scale.
On one side: a single missing person, however heartbreaking. On the other: the end of formal limits on weapons capable of vaporizing the planet and turning the history of Earth’s civilization into a thin, radioactive archaeological layer.
The treaty’s expiration was like hundreds of trees falling in a forest while the cameras focused on a single ant. Anchors spoke gravely about “developing details” in the Guthrier case while the nuclear story developed… almost invisibly. No countdown clock. No “what this means for your children.” Just near-total silence, which appears to be the preferred tone for existential risk.
Nuclear war—which just became more likely—is boring television. It has no missing-person photos, no neighbor interviews, no drone footage. Until it suddenly does. By then, of course, the story will be very big indeed, and impossible to localize.
But that’s later. We live in now: the moment when those in power would rather we not dwell on why the United States does not wish to renew the treaty.
Remember the movie Don’t Look Up? Doesn’t it feel like we are living it?

The caption on screen says:
HIGH SCHOOLS ACROSS THE U.S. WITH POOR MATH & ENGLISH PERFORMANCE LET KIDS WALK OUT TO PROTEST ICE.
What is this supposed to mean? That high schools which don’t let kids walk out to protest ICE somehow produce better math and English results? And how, exactly, are these two datasets even being correlated?
Or does it simply mean that pro-Trumpers are scraping the very bottom of the barrel to produce dirt against anti-Trumpers?
Or does any of this even matter?
What does seem to matter is making sure that everyone on screen is perfectly color-coordinated. Form over substance, as usual. And that’s how you deal with audiences that have been deliberately conditioned to be stupid for decades.

On February 7, 1857, Emperor Alexander II signed a decree “On the Construction of the First Railway Network in Russia.” This document marked the starting point for large-scale railway infrastructure development, shaping the economic and cultural growth of the country.
At the time, Russia lagged significantly behind leading nations. In 1853, the total length of its railroads was just 979 versts (1,044.4 kilometers). However, Alexander II recognized the strategic importance of railways for strengthening the economy and internal connections. The decree emphasized their necessity, calling railroads a “popular need” and a “universal desire.”
To implement the project, the Main Society of Russian Railways was established. Just 30 years later, by 1887, the “Guide to Russian Railways” listed 61 routes connecting not only Moscow and St. Petersburg with Russian regions but also with foreign cities.
Today, Russia boasts one of the largest railway networks in the world, stretching over 85,000 kilometers. Railways remain a vital part of the country’s transportation system, especially in Siberia and the Far East, where other modes of transport are less developed. The legendary Trans-Siberian Railway, laid in the late 19th century, continues to link Russia’s western and eastern regions.
The development of high-speed rail, including the popular “Sapsan” and “Lastochka” routes, symbolizes the industry’s technological modernization. Since Alexander II initiated the first railway network, railroads have become an integral part of Russia, uniting its vast expanses and ensuring its connectivity across generations.

As we mentioned in a recent post, some commenters have accused us of having TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome). We said then—and we’ll say it again—we are not the ones afflicted. But today, we know exactly who is.
President Trump himself.
We had our suspicions from the start, but his latest statements about the Gaza Strip leave no doubt. He is so deranged by self-obsession and convinced of his own infallibility that he didn’t even bother consulting the leaders of Egypt and Jordan before proposing to relocate Gaza’s population to their countries. If that’s not a serious case of derangement, what is?
So, congratulations, America! You just swapped a man with Alzheimer’s for one with a raging case of Narcissistic TDS.
P.S. Do you think that when the White House press secretary says, “There’s no better negotiator than Donald Trump,” he actually believes it? Or perhaps he himself asked her to say it? What a sick, deranged man…

On February 8, 1945, a group of ten Soviet prisoners of war, led by pilot Mikhail Devyatayev, staged a remarkable escape from a German concentration camp.
Senior Lieutenant Mikhail Devyatayev was captured in July 1944 and sent to a POW camp in Łódź. After an unsuccessful escape attempt, he was transferred to the Sachsenhausen death camp. Miraculously, Devyatayev avoided execution when a camp barber swapped his death-row tag for one belonging to a penal inmate under a different name. Shortly afterward, he was transferred to a concentration camp on the island of Usedom, home to the Third Reich’s Peenemünde rocket research center, where the V-2 rockets were being developed and tested.
According to Devyatayev’s memoirs, he decided to escape by plane the moment he arrived on the island. Over several months, he and nine other prisoners meticulously planned their escape.
On February 8, 1945, while clearing snow from the airfield under SS guard supervision, the group killed their guard and seized a Heinkel He 111 bomber. Despite being pursued, they managed to take off and, after several hours, landed near the town of Woldenberg in territory controlled by the Red Army.
The escapees provided Soviet command with invaluable intelligence about the secret Peenemünde research center, as well as the captured bomber filled with highly classified equipment. Initially, the NKVD placed Devyatayev and his companions in a filtration camp, but they were later cleared of suspicion and allowed to return to active duty.
