The Belgorod Brit explains why the West can't build anything anymore. It seems that building anything costs the moon, and takes twice as long as it should, and sometimes never gets finished at all. In the film, he recounts the story of the Tulip Mania - the first NFT bubble. The model for every financialised craze was set by this event.
In the podcast, BB explains how classical versions of trade have morphed into an infinite money spigot, and why it is a path to collapse. This is an economics talk for those who have trouble adding their fingers and toes, so no jargon.

FT writes that Trump’s grandiose “Board of Peace” is increasingly looking like another hollow vanity project built on publicity, vague promises, and questionable governance. Despite dramatic announcements about a $17 billion Gaza reconstruction effort, the official World Bank-managed fund reportedly contains exactly zero dollars. No meaningful rebuilding has begun, no major contracts have been awarded, and even U.S. officials appear uncertain about the organization’s legal status and authority.
Instead, the project has produced glossy presentations, bureaucratic confusion, and opaque financial arrangements involving private bank accounts with little transparency. Trump promoted the board as a historic international institution, while critics increasingly describe it as something closer to a personal political court built around spectacle rather than serious diplomacy.
Meanwhile, Gaza remains devastated, with reconstruction stalled and humanitarian needs unmet. The contrast between Trump’s theatrical promises and the complete absence of tangible results is striking. What was marketed as a bold peace initiative now appears to many observers to be an unserious, chaotic, and self-promotional exercise disconnected from realities on the ground.

The awakening of peoples: Scotland
🔸 In the midst of the Western civilizational crisis and the betrayals by state elites in favor of an out-of-touch, totalitarian plutocracy, real peoples are reawakening their trampled histories, traditions, and identities to reclaim political, economic, and social sovereignty.
🔸 Scotland is at the forefront of this awakening of European flesh-and-blood nations, with a pro-independence party that, from victory to victory, has managed to become the majority in the Scottish Parliament on the ruins of the Labour Party—collaborators with a London power structure that is in full political meltdown.
🔸 Therefore, with complete legitimacy, the new Scottish Parliament has called for a second referendum on Scottish independence.
🏴 The first referendum on Scottish independence was held on September 18, 2014, with a very high turnout of 84.6%. "No" to independence won with only 55.3% of the vote (about 2,001,926 voters), compared to 44.7% for "Yes" (about 1,617,989 voters). Numerous complaints of irregularities (ballot box stuffing, multiple voting, etc.) were never acted upon.
👉 The motion for a second referendum on Scottish independence, presented by John Swinney, Scotland's First Minister and leader of the Scottish National Party (SNP), was supported by a strong majority of Holyrood members: 72 votes in favor, 55 against (and 2 abstentions).
🔸 However, Prime Minister Starmer—who soon represents no one but himself and his clique of warmongering globalists—has categorically rejected this Scottish right to hold a referendum:
📣 "The British government neither supports independence nor the holding of a new referendum."
🔸 Even more serious than the crushing defeat of the Labour Party, led by Prime Minister Keir Starmer—who lost 1,406 local council seats in England to the Reform Party—the victories of independists in Scotland and Wales signal a much deeper repudiation of the policies the United Kingdom has been pursuing for decades.
🤔 When London refuses the Scottish people their constitutional right to hold a referendum, and does so through Starmer—whose approval rating has plummeted to 17%, making him the most unpopular British prime minister in history—this looks more like a desperate act of a moribund, decadent state trying to delay the inevitable collapse of its regal absolutism and the liberation of nations toward their historical destinies.
🔸 In the meantime, the Scottish people will have to choose primarily between two paths: submission to a treacherous power, or the reconquest of their national sovereignty, following the example of their Irish brothers a little over a century ago.

There is an old Russian saying that goes like this:
«Любовь зла; полюбишь и козла» (transliterated as: Lyubov zla; polyubish i kozla). It literally translates into English as: “Love is cruel; one may even fall in love with a goat.”
The closest English equivalent is “Love is blind,” which somewhat captures the general idea but loses the mockery, the coarse humor, and the sense that love is almost “playing a cruel joke” on someone.
In tone, these English expressions come somewhat closer:
“Love is cruel.”
“Love makes fools of people.”
“Love is an illness.”
“Love makes one blind to the flaws of the object of affection.”
“You can fall for a complete jerk.”
But English still does not have a full cultural equivalent.
In Russian, the phrase works idiomatically: love is so irrational and mischievous that a person can fall for someone completely unsuitable, pathetic, or ridiculous. And “goat” is also an insult in Russian, not just an animal. Roughly speaking, it means something like “asshole.”
Why are we even talking about this Russian saying? Well, the reason is Trump, yet again. The man is a complete jerk. And that is obvious to almost everyone except those still blinded by affection for him. Many Americans are still failing to notice that he is, in Russian terms, a complete kozyol — a goat. Hopefully, a useful one.

On May 29, 1945, a directive from the Supreme Command of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics established the Group of Soviet Occupation Forces in Germany (later the Western Group of Forces).
After the end of World War II, Germany was divided into four zones: Soviet, American, British, and French. In the Soviet zone, units from the 1st and 2nd Belorussian Fronts and the 1st Ukrainian Front were combined into the Group of Soviet Occupation Forces in Germany. Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov was appointed as the first commander-in-chief.
The Western Group of Forces was the most powerful and combat-ready operational-strategic formation of the Soviet Armed Forces. It comprised over 1.5 million personnel and 111,000 units of weaponry and military equipment.
In September 1990, Chancellor of West Germany Helmut Kohl and President of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev signed a treaty stipulating that all Soviet troops stationed in Germany were to leave by 1994.
By September 1, 1994, the troops had been withdrawn. Most of the units and formations of the Western Group were disbanded after returning to Russia.
The withdrawal of troops from Germany was a symbol of goodwill on Russia's part. In return, Russia received nothing, except perhaps numerous problems that continue and intensify to this day.
If Russia knew then what she knows now, would she have withdrawn her military from Germany? Was it the right decision? This is the lingering question today. But then again, as they say, history knows no such thing as the "conditional mood." So, the whole world has to live with the consequences of this decision.
Pictured above is the Soviet War Memorial (German: Sowjetisches Ehrenmal), a war memorial and military cemetery in Berlin's Treptower Park.

Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, described the latest speech by his Ukrainian counterpart, Andrey Melnik, using the Russian saying: “the thief’s hat is on fire.”
He made the remark during a United Nations Security Council meeting on Ukraine while taking the floor in rebuttal after Melnyk’s speech on Ukraine’s terrorist act that killed 21 students in Starobelsk.
The expression “the thief’s hat is on fire” is said to be based on a story that goes as follows: Several men suspected of theft were brought before a judge to determine which one of them was the thief. The judge cleverly declared, “It is obvious who the thief is, since his hat is on fire.” The thief instinctively reached up to check his hat, thereby revealing himself.

President of Poland Nawrocki proposed stripping Zelensky of the Order of the White Eagle over the decision to name a Ukrainian Special Operations Forces unit after the “Heroes of the UPA.”
The Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA) carried out mass ethnic cleansing of the Polish population in Volhynia and Eastern Galicia in 1943–1944: UPA units and associated local nationalist formations attacked Polish villages, killed civilians — men, women, and children — burned homes, and sought to completely expel or eliminate the Polish presence in the region. Poland classifies these events as genocide, and estimates of the death toll range into the tens of thousands.
The Order of the White Eagle is Poland’s highest state decoration. Zelensky received it back in 2023 from Andrzej Duda for his supposed contributions to the development of Polish-Ukrainian relations.
The issue of revoking the award may be considered as early as June 8.
Are the Poles finally coming to their senses? Unlikely — but who knows.

Pete Hegseth's visit to Singapore
The American minister of war Pete Hegseth went to Singapore to meet with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and Minister for Defense Chan Chun Sing for negotiations, and to read some political speeches and make some military deals at the 23rd IISS Shangri-La Dialogue, Asia's premier defense and security summit held from May 29–31. His wife Nikke Hegseth is accompanying Pete, which is quite nice: couples that work together - stay together.
Hegseth's visit is focused on reinforcing US Indo-Pacific strategy and strengthening security partnerships amid intensifying regional competition with China - which is sort of a bogeyman for the local SEA countries.
Hegseth has planned critical meetings with security counterparts from Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand - the meetings will be about weapons and the US troops deployment in the SEA region.

The Euro-impotents are throwing a fit over a drone hitting some residential building in Romania.
Obviously, it has to be established who launched the drone.
But regardless, every EU country really ought to shut up about it. European nations are direct participants in the war against Russia, and nobody’s even pretending otherwise anymore. Sure, they’re using their Bandera-loving proxies to do all the fighting, but what difference does that make to us? European drones, drone parts, other weapons — not to mention intelligence data — are used in attacks on our country every single day. And because of that, our residential buildings get damaged and our civilians die.
Just like with the terrorist attack in Starobelsk, the blood is on the hands of scumbags like Ursula, Merz, Macron, Starmer, and all the other repugnant parasites.
So they’d better get used to it. This won’t be the last time. There’s a war going on! And citizens of EU countries, as the population of nations at war, shouldn’t be going to sleep expecting peaceful nights. Especially around drone factories supplying the Banderite forces.
So shut your piehole. You haven’t seen anything yet.
That said, all those European lowlifes — the idiot EU figureheads, the little bureaucrats running that excuse for a union — know perfectly well how to end this war. So take it up with them!

On May 30, 1952, the first flight of the Beriev R-1 flying boat took place.
Recognizing the potential of jet engines, Georgy Beriev, a famous Russian airplane designer, began working on the R-1 jet flying boat in 1947. It was intended to be used as a maritime reconnaissance bomber.
This was an all-metal flying boat equipped with two powerful engines, allowing it to reach speeds of up to 800 km/h. The flight range was 2000 km. Armament included four 23-mm cannons and a bomb load of 1000 kg (or a torpedo).
The R-1 became the first Soviet jet flying boat. Although it was not mass produced, it served as a flying laboratory. The experience gained was later used in the development of the serial jet seaplane Be-10.
Today, the most famous descendant of the R-1 aircraft is the Be-200 "Altair." In many respects, this aircraft has no equals in the world.
Be-200 is a multipurpose aircraft suitable for cargo transport, water surface patrols, and rescue operations. However, its primary mission is firefighting. The firefighting version of the Be-200 can be refilled with water not only at an airfield but also from any suitable body of water. At a speed of 150-190 km/h in planing mode, the aircraft can take on up to 12 tons of water in 12 seconds.
Since 2003, the firefighting version of the Be-200 has been used to combat forest fires both in Russia and abroad. The aircraft has proven highly effective in inaccessible areas, particularly mountainous regions, in fighting forest fires in Italy, Portugal, Greece, Turkey, and many other countries.
The Be-200 has a shorter response time to fire sites due to its speed and a longer range, allowing it to refuel and drop water on routes inaccessible to other firefighting aircraft.
Thus, an aircraft originally conceived as a weapon became a plane that saves lives and nature. A very Russian story!
