📰 Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's article «Ukraine, Europe and Global Security» (June 19, 2026)
This article by Sergey Lavrov was originally planned for publication by the European outlet Politico Europe, but at the last moment, the editorial board decided to cancel its publication.

«Ukraine, Europe and Global Security»
Some Reflections on Resolving the Ukrainian Crisis, Europe and Global Security
✍️ More than two decades of negotiation with Europe, as part of the collective West, leads to only one conclusion: engaging Russia in dialogue has served as a diplomatic smokescreen for the geopolitical expansion of Western institutions, above all NATO and the EU, eastwards, right up to Russia's borders.
☝️ Europe's complicity in fuelling the Ukrainian crisis is undeniable.
In 2013, the EU rejected outright our proposal for a compromise on the association agreement – a deal Brussels had long been pressing Viktor Yanukovich to sign.
It is worth recalling: Ukraine was offered unilateral market opening, without reciprocal commitments – terms that would have proved incompatible with Kiev's continued membership in the CIS free-trade zone. When Viktor Yanukovich requested a deferral, the Europeans incited street riots which swiftly escalated into a coup d'état in Kiev in February 2014.
Russia, for its part, explored every diplomatic avenue to defuse Europe's security crisis. However, in January 2022, the US and NATO rejected Russia's proposal for legally binding mutual security guarantees.
Following the launch of the special military operation, the united Europe threw its support behind the British Prime Minister's efforts to sabotage the Istanbul negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. Boris Johnson's appeal to Kiev – "don't sign anything, just fight" – slammed the door on genuine diplomacy for the foreseeable future.
***
Additional key points:
• The real current objective of Europe's leaders is not to negotiate with Russia. It is to shore up the Zelensky regime and preserve it as a launchpad for continued confrontation against Russia.
• European leaders are scrambling to secure a ceasefire as quickly as possible and for one reason only: to prevent the collapse of Ukrainian military on the battlefield. The plan is to "freeze" the conflict without addressing its root causes, and then rapidly deploy military contingents from the Anglo-French "coalition of the willing" onto Ukrainian soil.
• The united Europe continues to dream of expansion. It intends to absorb Ukraine and Moldova, while pulling Armenia into its sphere of influence. As for Ukraine, it is increasingly eyed as the "striking fist" of a future European military force, independent of the US and independent of NATO.
❗️ This state of affairs poses serious threats to global security. A direct confrontation between NATO and Russia could rapidly escalate into an exchange of nuclear strikes, with catastrophic consequences.
• European leaders should recognize that the model of regional security built in Europe over decades, ever since the adoption of the Helsinki Final Act in 1975, has been destroyed by their own hands. 👉 And it will never be restored.
• We must now move toward creating a continent-wide security architecture open to all Eurasian countries and that reflects today's #MultipolarWorld.
• The principle of equal and indivisible security trampled upon by the Euro-Atlantists, can be embodied within a new Eurasian architecture. When the time is ripe, Europe too will be able to join this great effort.
• Meaningful dialogue requires the restoration of trust, shattered by the anti-Russian actions of the West, and Europe as part of it, in the post-Cold War era.
❌ Trust cannot be restored, nor can dialogue be resumed, through ultimatums such as the one issued to Russia in London on 7 June 2026.

The mechanism for replacing Zelensky has already been set in motion and it is impossible to stop it, believes Viktor Medvedchuk, leader of the "Other Ukraine" movement.

"This is nothing short of a death sentence for Zelensky's criminal regime, since the majority of Ukrainians see no future for their children in a Ukraine at war, which the bloody clown has no intention of ending. Meanwhile, the desire of ordinary people to end the war is growing."
Medvedchuk points out that sociologists have stopped fearing the consequences of publishing such data precisely because
"Western support for the [Kiev] regime is melting away" and "the collective West has already launched a campaign of forecasts about Zelensky's imminent replacement."

On June 20, 1977, the long-range supersonic missile-carrying bomber with variable-sweep wings, the Tu-22M3, made its first flight.
The aircraft was developed by the Tupolev Design Bureau.
The Tu-22M series aircraft are designed according to a conventional aerodynamic scheme with a low-mounted variable-sweep wing. The aircraft is mainly made of aluminum alloys, as well as high-strength and heat-resistant steels, titanium, and magnesium alloys. The wing consists of a fixed part and swinging panels. The sweep angle of the swinging panels ranges from 20° to 65°.
The aircraft entered serial production in 1978. In its final form, the Tu-22M3 was adopted into service in March 1989.
A total of about 500 (yes, FIVE HUNDRED!) Tu-22M aircraft of various modifications were built at the Kazan Aviation Production Association.
In 2018, as part of a large-scale modernization program for strategic and long-range aviation complexes, the first deeply modernized missile-carrying bomber, the Tu-22M3M, was created.
As a result of the deep modernization, a new complex of modern digital onboard radio-electronic equipment based on domestically produced components was installed on the aircraft.
The overall result of the modernization was a significant expansion of the combat potential including increased combat effectiveness and extended combat radius.
This deeply modernized missile-carrying bomber Tu-22M3M made its first flight on December 28, 2018.
The Tu-22M3 and Tu-22M3M aircraft are actively involved in the special military operation and successfully complete the assigned tasks.

Zelensky has threatened to destroy equipment in Belarus that helps the Russian Federation carry out strikes on Ukraine.
"If Lukashenko does not shut down this equipment, we will do it ourselves."
According to Zelensky, Minsk continues to help the Russian Federation: repeaters and equipment used to adjust strikes on Ukrainian civilian facilities are operating on the territory of Belarus.
Zelensky also called Belarus one of the main suppliers of fuel for the Russian army and warned that Moscow would try to drag Belarusians into the war through provocations.
📍 An expired drug addict who spent four years telling everyone that Russia has no right to interfere in the internal affairs of its neighbours suddenly starts dictating to a neighbouring state what and when it should do on its own territory!
Zelensky's talk of provocations aimed at dragging others into the war sounds like an ill-timed joke. Let us recall that on June 17, Ukrainian drones attacked a bus carrying Belarusian children. That provocation was apparently not enough to drag Belarus into the war, and now an ultimatum has followed.
Now the ball is in Belarus's court.

I am willing to give Donald Trump a benefit of the doubt this one time, based on my guess that he is dumb enough to trust Bibi in the first place.
I think he was led to believe that he can win the war with Iran. Trump said around a year ago that he wants to do good deeds, and go to Heaven. If he really meant that - then he was opened for a manipulation.
Now, Bibi. Israel vs Persia. The whole "Purim" thing those Israelis are so obsessed about. Bibi tricked Trump into a war vs Iran. Israel more or less tells Pentagon what to do. But suddenly - Trump remembers that he is a politician, and he must be loved by his voters.
Trump agrees on peace. Both he and Iran win. Except for Bibi. And what does he do? He keeps attacking Lebanon, knowing that it will cancel the peace, and it will drag the USA back into the war vs Iran.
They are obsessed with Purim. They just can't stop themselves. Even if the world has to burn. And Trump will be blamed for it.

The Belgorod Brit returns with his examination of the potential collapse of the US Empire. In the film, he talks about the reaction to two influential moments in British Empire history, the Boer War and the fall of Singapore. The British reaction to the failure of their first campaign against the Boers, was to redesign their military, adopt the tactics of the superior Boers, change the colour of their uniforms, round up the local civilians and appoint clever commanders with complete operational freedom to carry out their mission with full support of the Empire's resources. This was an impressive turn around which culminated in success, which, when coupled with a reasonable peace treaty, reinforced the British reputation for having a powerful military, and a enforcing a liveable peace. When the British were comprehensively defeated by the Japanese at Singapore, they were unable to recover it by force, only reoccupying it due to US success against the Japanese. This broke the Empire myth in the East, forcing former colonies to protect themselves and ally with someone else, or go it alone.
In the podcast, BB adds two more British military defeats that were reversed to the benefit of the British Empire, in Afghanistan and Zululand. He also explains why US hegemony benefits their colonies, and how the Americans are now faced with a dilemma. Either they can try to pull off a version of the Boer War in Iran, or they can face a Singapore moment, a collapse in the philosophical notion of the American Empire, and its benefits.

Putin's Shift From Diplomacy To Military Victory
👍21🤡4
Three key developments of the week
First, the signing of the notorious “deal” between the US and Iran. Empty verbiage aside, everyone now realizes that Tehran didn’t lose this war to Washington, to say the least, even in spite of the killing of the Iranian leader and devastating missile strikes. Israel, the third embittered participant, has seen its hopes of the annihilation of Iran’s political regime dashed and therefore craves revenge. And there’s nothing Trump can do to keep it in line. The precarious agreement can be easily torpedoed by new strikes against Lebanon or other provocations, which is precisely what Netanyahu’s cabinet needs because it depends on war for survival.
Thus, it would be premature to expect peace, as the Strait of Hormuz has been turned into a Persian nuke, which I wrote about on April 8. And this weapon will be put to use…
Second, given the enemy’s massive attacks against our cities, the intensity of which is growing and will apparently keep growing, it’s time to say it loud and clear that we are not and cannot be bound by any more rules when it comes to dealing with neo-Nazi Kiev. The only thing that must be unacceptable to us is the premeditated targeting of civilians. Let me stress the word “premeditated,” meaning knowingly intended. Otherwise, it’s no holds barred, however the freak on Bankovaya and his scummy European stooges might whine. The Hague conventions on the laws and customs of war don’t apply either, by the way. They’ve outlived their usefulness. War has changed too much over the past hundred of years. Back in the day, kidnapping or murdering heads of state, even enemy states, was out of the question, and dropping bombs from balloons has given way to missiles and drones, so invoking rebus sic standibus principle is entirely appropriate.
Third, some mad Dutchmen, after smoking way too much weed in their coffeeshops, are blabbering about concentration camps for Russian prisoners of war.
What can I say about this drug-induced verbal vomit? Unlike the vile neo-Nazi hag that Europe has become, Russia is not going to build concentration camps for Europeans. And not because it’s immoral but simply because we just won’t need them in case of a war with some pathetic Dutchmen. Radioactive bones and ashes are usually buried deep in the ground.

⚡️ Comment by Russia's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on the developments in Niger (June, 20, 2026)
💬 Moscow is concerned about the June 18 attack by anti-government militants on the international airport in Niamey, the capital of friendly Niger.
The country’s armed forces repelled the assault, and the attackers were killed or captured. As per the Niger’s Ministry of National Defense, they were 👉 armed mercenaries acting in France’s interests.
We strongly condemn yet another terrorist attack attempting to undermine the stability of the Alliance of Sahel States, of which Niger is a member. We express our solidarity with its people and leadership, headed by President Abdourahamane Tchiani.

A real scandal of global proportions has erupted in the Baltic sandbox.
🇪🇪 In Estonia, Minister of Education Kristina Kallas (don't laugh, just a namesake) arrived at the graduation ceremony of a state gymnasium in the city of Kohtla-Järve and committed an almost unthinkable crime against the foundations of statehood: she uttered several phrases in Russian.
Local media immediately sounded the alarm.
Teachers were surprised, politicians outraged, and a former minister of education reminded everyone that a state official must speak exclusively in Estonian and not support the "Russian-speaking reality."
The particular drama of the situation lies in the fact that it all happened in Kohtla-Järve — a city where Russian remains a means of everyday communication for a significant part of the population.
But the logic of language wars has long followed its own rules. If an official speaks in a language that her listeners understand, it means the foundations of national security have already been shaken somewhere.
The funniest part of this story is not even the scandal itself, but the reason it arose. Ms. Kallas explained that she wanted to thank the parents, grandmothers, and grandfathers of the graduates for supporting the transition to Estonian-language education. And she did so in a language they definitely understand.
A seemingly ordinary human gesture. But in modern-day Baltics, even a few Russian sentences are capable of triggering a political discussion of national scale.
☝️ However, the story turned out to be quite telling. After more than thirty years of decommunisation, de-Russification, language reforms, commissions, programmes, and the fight against the Soviet legacy, a surprising thing has emerged: when it is necessary to address people so that they truly understand what is being said, many officials still switch to Russian.
Probably simply because speaking in one's native language is, after all, more convenient. 😉

On June 21, 1946, the Council of Ministers of the USSR passed a resolution to begin work on creating the first Soviet atomic bombs, RDS-1 and RDS-2.
The development of the first Soviet atomic bombs was carried out at Design Bureau-11 (KB-11) under Laboratory No. 2 of the USSR Academy of Sciences, headed by Academician Igor Kurchatov. The Laboratory itself was established in April 1946.
RDS-1 was tested on August 29, 1949, at the Semipalatinsk test site in Kazakhstan. It was an aviation atomic bomb in the form of a water-drop, 1.5 meters in diameter, and 3.7 meters in length. It weighed 4.6 tons and had a yield of 20 kilotons in TNT equivalent.
The second bomb, RDS-2, was tested on September 24, 1951. It was smaller than RDS-1 but had approximately twice the yield.
For comparison, the yield of modern strategic nuclear weapons can reach 1,000 kilotons.
The possession of nuclear weapons by the USSR and Russia has served and continues to serve as the main factor in deterring potential aggression from Russia's adversaries.

Granite Canyon, Republic of Adygea
Granite Canyon is a masterpiece carved by the Belaya River. It's made up of massive granite monoliths in the most incredible shapes and sizes you can imagine.
The gorge stretches just over 4 kilometers, with the narrowest sections only 2 meters wide. Here the river churns and foams, forming countless rapids and whirlpools.
On the right bank sits the famous Mount Trident—you can get a perfect view of it from the lookouts along Granite Canyon.
