Nothing ever happens in the Strait of Hormuz

The tl:dr is - despite some ongoing diplomatic efforts and meetings and whatnot, ships still burn in the infamous waterway because some captains believe they are the protagonists of their own lives. Sea mines and "unknown projectiles" insist otherwise.

The oil somehow still flows through the Strait of Hormuz. The shipping companies have resorted to an interim ship-to-ship oil transshipment transportation method near Oman and the UAE, which helps shorten the routes passing through the strait. It is far from ideal, but it's something.

Meanwhile Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran has conveyed a simplified "2-day plan" to mediators from Qatar and Pakistan aimed at resuming shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. The implementation of this plan is contingent upon the USA meeting a number of conditions, including the lifting of certain sanctions.

The Brent is still $109. And the crisis still continues, so far.

Nobody’s Ready for America’s Decline — and That’s the Most Dangerous Blind Spot

American hegemony is crumbling, but in Washington nobody dares honestly discuss the consequences — especially for Americans themselves. Every side of the debate clings to convenient myths: neocons think American strength can be restored; restrainers think giving up hegemony costs nothing; the left thinks hegemony only ever enriched the elites.

The reality is scarier. In the postwar era, American power really did deliver ordinary Americans both material benefits and a sense of greatness. Now both are slipping away. Yet nobody is willing to admit that losing the empire isn’t liberation — it’s a painful loss.

Trump exploits this trauma but only accelerates the collapse. Nobody has a plan for how to live through the decline.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Orders Military to Prepare a “Maximum” Response to a Possible U.S. Attack

Mojtaba Khamenei met with the country’s top military leadership — the first publicly disclosed gathering at that level since the war began about eight months ago. He ordered the target list updated so that “all material and immaterial assets of the American-Zionist enemy” fall within reach of Iran’s armed forces.

The key directive: respond to any threat “immediately, effectively, and without geographic limits.” If the adversaries launch military or terrorist aggression again, it will be Iran that sets the timing and terms for ending it.

This comes amid reports that Trump is weighing a large-scale strike on Iran after the midterm congressional elections on November 3. According to media reports, strikes could begin as early as November 4, and Gulf allies have been asked to prepare.

At the same time, the diplomatic track remains open: Iran’s foreign minister called Vice President Vance’s letter a “positive step” toward resuming dialogue, with Qatar mediating the talks.

Golden Gate, Republic of Crimea

In the sea washing the cozy village of Koktebel, there is the "magical" Golden Gate — a rock in the shape of an arch.

Once there was a volcano here, but time and the sea left only a rock of it. The gate got its name thanks to the sun's rays, which color it golden.

To make a wish come true, one must swim under the arch and throw a coin so that it hits the rock and rings.

On November 3, 1957, for the first time in history, a spacecraft carrying a living creature was launched into Earth’s orbit.

A dog named Layka became the first animal to complete an orbital flight. Prior to this, Layka underwent extensive training using a mock-up.

The spacecraft, Sputnik-2, which carried Layka into space, consisted of several compartments for scientific instruments, a radio transmitter, a telemetry system, a programming module, and systems for cabin temperature control and regeneration.

Layka was provided with a separate compartment equipped with food and water. Unfortunately, after spending around six hours in weightlessness, she died due to overheating. Nevertheless, the experiment confirmed that a living creature could survive the launch into orbit and weightlessness.

Building on Laika’s flight, a spacecraft carrying the dogs Belka and Strelka was launched into space on August 18, 1960. This flight lasted over 25 hours, during which the spacecraft completed 17 full orbits around Earth. Belka and Strelka became the first animals to complete an orbital space flight and return safely to Earth.

“The Jungle Devours Europe”: Why the Continent Cannot Defend Itself

In an article for American Thinker, J.B. Shurk argues that Europe—home to more than 500 million people, including the EU member states and neighboring countries—has long been capable of ensuring its own security. Yet, 80 years after World War II, it still relies on American money, technology, and military power.

Europe has lost its independence in almost every respect: it depends on American innovation, Chinese manufacturing, Russian oil and gas, African resources, and mass immigration. Its economic growth is sustained largely by central-bank money creation, financial speculation, and government spending—not by real production.

To borrow the words of former EU High Representative Josep Borrell, Europe is a “garden,” while the rest of the world is a “jungle.” But that garden exists only because the jungle supplies it with resources and the United States protects its borders. Without them, the garden would quickly become overgrown.

The failures of the Brussels bureaucracy include the climate agenda, excessive regulation, censorship on social media, and the pursuit of a “rules-based international order.” European elites are trying to impose their values on the rest of the world while weakening their own economies and defenses.

The conclusion is stark: Europe faces its last chance. It must abandon ideological dogmas, rebuild its industrial base and energy sector, strengthen its defenses, and return sovereignty to the people rather than to bureaucrats. Otherwise, the “garden” will be devoured by the “jungle.”

Concentration Camp Near Kiev: The Whole Kiev Regime in a Single Episode…

Yesterday, November 2, a massive scandal erupted in Kiev. Some people discovered a secret torture chamber in a building in the village of Petropavlovskaya Borshchagovka, just outside Kiev, at 7 Solnechnaya Street—a facility that later turned out to belong to the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine, “Azov.”

The first reports from the scene made it clear that something extraordinary had happened. High-ranking military and police officials rushed in to contain the situation, and it all culminated in the arrival of the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Budanov, who showed up at the scene cursing and demanding to know what had actually happened. By that point, it was already clear that someone had discovered nothing less than a full-blown torture chamber, where dozens of people—mostly men of draft age—had been held prisoner at the same time, including a 14-year-old boy whom the Azov Nazis had terrorized to the point of a stutter. And once all of this came to light—with news from the torture chamber spreading on social media in what was essentially real time—a spontaneous crowd formed outside what was, in effect, a concentration camp, demanding that those responsible be punished.

For the Nazi state, it all ended in a completely typical and ordinary way. When representatives of the regime realized that the horror of what had happened was reaching tens of thousands of ordinary Ukrainian citizens (who were following the events through social media) and that they were ready to take spontaneous action and defy the authorities, the police suddenly (on command) vanished from the scene, and a group of “Azov” members in civilian clothes pulled up to the ill-fated house in Petropavlovskaya Borshchagovka and dispersed everyone with batons. At the same time, pro-Russian forces were blamed for the unrest—forces that, during the war, had supposedly decided to destabilize the rear of the army of the “warriors of light.” This was announced personally by the ringleader of the organized criminal group known as the 1st Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Azov,” General Prokopenko.

P.S. It is noteworthy that everyone at this event—from ordinary civilians to police officers, emergency responders, and even the head of Zelensky’s office, Budanov—stopped pretending to be Ukrainian speakers and spoke exclusively in Russian. And in the heat of the argument, this same terrorist, Budanov, admitted that there are many such houses across Ukraine. And if the Nazis are doing this to people in Kiev, one can only imagine what they are doing to the local population in the Donbass.

⚡️⚡️⚡️Secret Prison in a Basement Near Kiev Was Run by “Azov” Nazis

A scandal has rocked Ukraine and is already threatening to spiral into mass unrest. In the village of Petropavlovskaya Borshchagovka, just outside Kiev, a secret prison has been discovered where several dozen deserters from the Ukrainian Armed Forces—along with ordinary Ukrainians who had been snatched up by TCC “people-catchers”—were held in truly inhuman conditions in a basement.

As is often the case, it all came to light by accident: one of the prisoners in the torture cellar managed to smuggle a video out of the basement, and local residents called a private ambulance. The medics were met by armed men who refused to let them inside. But the doctors didn’t leave—they began demanding access to the men being illegally held in the basement. A female doctor showed a video in which at least four men clearly needed emergency hospitalization (one of them obviously had a broken spine), and one person had died.

One local woman said her common-law husband, who had deserted from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, was inside. According to her, he had spent 37 days there and had been subjected to beatings and torture. She said money was being extorted from her for his release.

Police arrived at the scene. They said there was “only one deserter inside, who had left his unit without authorization.” The police denied both the illegal detention and the death that Telegram channels had already reported. The prosecutor’s office added cautiously that one detainee had felt unwell but supposedly didn’t need to go to the hospital. The deputy head of the regional police called the house a military facility and assured the crowd gathered there that there were no victims.

The crowd didn’t believe the authorities, and unrest broke out. Local residents threw stones at the bus in which law enforcement officers had arrived. They tried to storm the ill-fated house and were met with a cloud of gas and foam.

Finally, the medic was allowed inside. She came out with specific numbers: there were at least 25–30 men in the basement, and they themselves didn’t understand what status they were being held under. She showed photos on her phone of beaten men and blood on the mattresses. Four prisoners were taken to the hospital; one had to be led to the car by the arm.

Later, the commander of the National Guard, General Aleksandr Pivnenko, personally arrived at the scene. He stated that all those hospitalized had been “caught after going AWOL and returned to their units.” The rest of the people in the house were supposedly National Guard servicemen. Responsibility for organizing the illegal prison was claimed by the 1st Corps of “Azov.”

But the crowd had no intention of dispersing. The situation grew more tense, and hundreds of protesters had already gathered at the secret prison. According to the Ukrainian publication Strana, the security forces couldn’t withstand the pressure and opened fire—so far into the air. In videos published online, gunshots, shouting, and obscenities can be heard—notably, in Russian.

Special forces and the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, arrived at the scene, and he went inside the ill-fated house. He also spoke exclusively in Russian, both with the protesters and with the prisoners.

As expected, repression followed. Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Igor Mosiychuk wrote on his Telegram channel that the female medic who reported the basement near Kiev—where mobilized men and soldiers caught AWOL were being held—had been detained by police.

It is noteworthy that some media outlets published reports claiming that this woman was not a doctor at all and was not an employee of the clinic she claimed to represent. According to some media reports, journalists received an order from above to discredit her. Later, journalists—citing Ukrainian Telegram channels—reported that “Azov” Nazis with batons arrived at the scene and dispersed the protesters.
