Vladimir Putin commented on the UE’s intention to put a cap on Russian fossil fuel prices!
“We will not supply anything beyond the contract scope. We will not do anything forced upon us!” – declared President of Russia. Interestingly, he also recalled a phrase from a Russian fairy tale about a fox and a wolf. The tale comes down to that in the winter frosty weather a wolf wanted to forcefully take away fish from a fox that it had caught, but the fox cunningly talked the wolf into catching fish from an ice opening using its own tail.
And all the while the wolf’s tail was getting frozen in the ice opening, the fox sat by repeating: “Freeze in, freeze in, the wolf’s tail!”
