๐Ÿ“šWe usually use โ€œsomeโ€ in positive sentences. โ€œAnyโ€ in questions and negatives:
You've got SOME interesting ideas, but have you got any money to back them?
๐Ÿ“—We can use โ€œanyโ€ in positive sentences with the meaning 'it doesn't matter which':
You won't catch any fish here. Any fisherman will tell you that.
๐Ÿ“•It is possible to use SOME in questions where we have some expectation that the
answer will be positive:

ls SOME of the information useful? (l expect that a part of it is.)
Is any of the information useful? (l have no idea if it is useful or not.)

๐Ÿ’ฎ No or not?

โ‡๏ธ
No and not are the two most common words we use to indicate negation. We use no before a noun phrase:

๐Ÿ”ธThereโ€™s no address on the envelope.

๐Ÿ”ธNo biscuits before dinner!

๐Ÿ”ธNo decisions have been made.

โ‡๏ธ We use not with any other phrase or clause:

๐Ÿ”นItโ€™s not often that you stop and think about the way you breathe.

๐Ÿ”นNot suitable for children under 15.

๐Ÿ”นNot surprisingly, it was a tense match but eventually the more experienced Australians won.

โœ… Not in the winter.

๐Ÿ—ฃQuestion from @ingliztiliuzz member Shahlo

difference between house and home?

Can anybody tell me the difference between house and home?

โ„ข๏ธ
Answer
Hi Shahlo and thanks for the question!
A House is Permanent... A Home is rarely permanent and usually temporary... You can Move your home easily... It is a lot harder to move your House! A house has no emotion attached, though it can be old and broken or new and perfect. A home can be a happy place or a sad place, depending on the situation in your life. Maybe your family is with you, maybe not... It doesn't matter! It is YOUR home! If your family lives in another town, and you plan to return to live there, than that is your family's home... until you return to make it yours again! A home is what you make it! .. But, happy OR violent, if you keep your things there, and it is the place where you usually sleep, then that is your home!

Boys playing by a pond began to throw rocks at Frogs, killing several. Frogs cried out they should stop as sport to the Boys was death to the Frogs.

Play for one may be death to another.

Boys playing by a pond noticed Frogs in the water and began to throw rocks at them. They killed several, whereupon one of the Frogs cried out: โ€œPlease stop. What is sport to you is death to us!โ€

Boys and Frogs

Some Boys were playing one day at the edge of a pond in which lived a family of Frogs. The Boys amused themselves by throwing stones into the pond so as to make them skip on top of the water.

The stones were flying thick and fast and the Boys were enjoying themselves very much; but the poor Frogs in the pond were trembling with fear.

At last one of the Frogs, the oldest and bravest, put his head out of the water, and said, โ€œOh, please, dear children, stop your cruel play! Though it may be fun for you, it means death to us!โ€

Moral

Always stop to think whether your fun may not be the cause of anotherโ€™s unhappiness.
