- 상위 9개 THP(Tobacco Heated Product) 판매 국가에서 2022년 4월 누적 매출 볼륨 2021년 동기 대비 1.5% 증가 (러시아,우크라이나 제외시 1.2% 증가)
- 유럽의 경우 Hyper (Glo) 제품의 선전으로 THP 제품 매출 볼륨 대폭 성장
- 일본의 경우 Hyper 제품의 선전으로 전체 니코틴 시장에서 Glo의 점유율 2021년 4월 누적 대비 2022년 동기 0.6% 성장 (Share 7.4%)
- 다만 THP (Tobacco Heated Product) 시장에서의 Glo의 점유율은 4월 0.6% 하락한 20.6% (일본은 Highly competitive market)
- 하반기 “THP신제품과 신규 시장 진출을 포함한 매우 강력한”투자 계획이 있음.
- 연소 제품 판매 또한 미국 시장을 위주로 유지 중

“BAT recently inaugurated a HRK600 million ($82 million) production line for tobacco products at its Kanfanar factory in Croatia, reports Seenews.

In May, 2021, BAT revealed it would be manufacturing heated-tobacco products at its Kanfanar facility.”

The company invested £1bn in New Categories in the first half, with losses down for the second consecutive period, reducing by a further £281 million, at constant rates. The New Category business is delivering a positive financial contribution in nine markets.
Adjusted operating margin growth of 90 bps was supported by a further £275m of Quantum savings in the first half of 2022. BAT now expects to achieve in excess of £1.5bn annualised savings by the end of 2022.  

The group notably took a £950m charge against the exit from their business in Russia, but said this won’t impact materially on cash flow.
