🔊 Be A Stranger In This World - Rayaan Barker - Masjid Furqan - Stoke on Trent
Prepare for your death - as everyone will taste it. The Propet (sallahualayhiwasallam) said "Live in this world as though you are a stranger or a traveller". This is an important advice - as we should be refocusing ourselves on the hereafter.
A stranger is a person who resides in a strange land and it is not their homeland. They maybe there just to take their provision - but will return back to their homeland. And a traveller is someone who is constantly moving to get to a destination. So we should be one of these two types of people. We should not completely busy ourselves with this dunya - instead we should get what we need and focus on the hereafter; and arriving there in the best situation.

📖 Shaykh Salih Al-Fawzan (hafidhahullah) mentioned that the youth takes the responsibility from the elders in this Ummah therefore it is compulsory to give great importance to their cultivation.If from a young age a person is brought up by his parents upon righteousness, good manners and worshipping Allah ('azza wa jal) then later on in life righteousness is easy for them because they were accustomed to the obedience of Allah (subhanahu wa ta'aala}.However, if the parents neglect the child or allow them to mix with others who are misguided or have bad character then later in life that youth will find it hard to change because his nafs has become accustomed to indulging his desires.Ibn Al-Qayyim (rahimahullah) said: 'The greatest of wrongs a parent does to the child is neglecting them and not instilling Islam and the worship of Allah in them from an early age.' So let us be diligent in cultivating our children upon khair inshaAllah.

🌟 Utilise Five Things Wisely – Rayaan Barker – Stoke 🌟
The Prophet (salallahu alayhi wasallam) advised us to utilise 5 things wisely before they are replaced with another 5:
Our youth before we reach old age. Youth is the time when we have energy and strength to worship Allah to the best of our ability, as when we are older we may not be able to stand in salah or fast during Ramadhan. The Prophet (salallahu alayhi wasallam) said that we will all be questioned regarding his youth and how we spent it: "A person will remain standing before Allah until he is questioned regarding 4 things, from them being his youth and how he spent it." From the 7 people who are shaded by Allah on the Day of Judgement is the person who spent his youth worshipping Allah so we should strive during our youth.
Our health before we become ill. When we are ill our bodies are weakened, and we are unable to worship Allah in the same manner as if we were in good health. Therefore it is upon us as Muslims to make sacrifices
