🔬#MESExperiments 48: Magnets Glued Together in Repulsion Fall Slower in a Copper Tube YouTube - Odysee (corrected version) - Screenshots - Playlist (Hive)
In this experiment I have collaborated with Paul Mueller in producing a series of magnet drop tests for 3 different cylinder magnet types through 3 copper tubes. The experiments show that magnets glued together in repulsion can fall down significantly slower than if they were in attraction. These results open up new research areas for Lenz's Law and provide an indirect validation of Boyd Bushman's claim that magnets in repulsion fall slower in gravity.

In this experiment I have combined the magnet drop tests by Paul Mueller in side-by-side view to better demonstrate that magnets glued in repulsion fall significantly faster than when placed in attraction. Magnets in repulsion also fall slower than individual magnets despite the weight being double and the fact that their attraction counterparts fall faster. This is truly ground-breaking findings here!

🔬#MESExperiments 50: Magnets in Repulsion Atwood Machine Drop Tests https://youtu.be/yN3-H1AzdgQ - Screenshots - Playlist (Hive)
In this experiment I measure the drop rates of magnets in attraction, magnets in repulsion, and a nonmagnet when placed in an Atwood machine with the same counterweight. The magnets in repulsion fell 12.11% slower than the magnets in attraction, while the non-magnet fell 3.64% faster than the magnets in attraction. While not conclusive, these results strongly suggest that magnets in repulsion do fall slower in gravity as Boyd Bushman, senior engineer at Lockheed Martin, had claimed. I will perform this experiment at higher heights in the near future so stay tuned!

🔬#MESExperiments 54: SpillNot Centripetal Tray - 3Speak - YouTube - Playlist (Hive)
In this experiment I showcase the amazing SpillNot centripetal waiter's tray, whose circular motion can balance a cup of water without spilling it over, even while performing a full 360 degrees upside down! The SpillNot works on the principle that circular motion involves a centripetal force that brings the tray back towards the centre of the circular motion — this results in the cup of water experiencing a normal force far directly onto the tray, which far exceeds the downwards force due to gravity. The most astonishing part is that even a straw placed in the cup barely even experiences any slight nudge as it moves at rapid speeds. I also place my phone in the tray with both front selfie camera and rear camera views to further illustrate this amazing phenomenon!

🔬#MESExperiments 55: Faraday's Paradox using Individual Magnets - Screenshots - YouTube - Playlist (Hive)
In #MESExperiments 55 I once again demonstrate Faraday's Paradox, this time showing that rotating a strong magnet with a drill about it's polar axis doesn't move individual football shaped magnets. Each magnet is placed on a polished low friction glass mirror surface, and the football shape allows the magnets to freely rotate. Moving the strong magnet attached to the drill laterally easily moves the magnets, but rotating it barely even nudges the smaller magnets. This suggests that the magnetic field does not rotate about a spinning magnet.
