The pleas against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar were filed by:
• Rakesh Kumar Singh — filed a PIL seeking action against the CEC.
• Shailendra Mani Tripathi — filed a separate petition seeking legal action and an inquiry.
Both petitions are listed before the Supreme Court.

🚨 ASSAM CABINET DECISIONS
The Assam Cabinet has approved 12% job reservation for Assam-domiciled ex-Agniveers in recruitment to the Assam Police and allied services, including APRO, SDRF, Fire & Emergency Services, Forest Guards and Excise.
The Cabinet has also approved a Green Cess on vehicle ownership transfers to support afforestation and conservation.
EVs, CNG vehicles, two-wheelers and three-wheelers are exempt from the cess.

The flight had 150+ Israelis onboard and suddenly lost altitude.
Israeli fighter jets were scrambled, but the plane eventually landed safely in Saudi Arabia.
