Members of the General Security Service under the de facto authority assassinated businessman Manaf al-Dabal (Abu Nasser) while he was visiting his mother in the city of Ariha, Idlib countryside.

Al-Dabal was regarded as one of Syria’s most prominent businessmen in the field of olive oil press manufacturing and industrial equipment production. He owned a branch in Tunisia, maintained regional partnerships, and employed at least 300 workers from rural communities across Syria.

The late businessman was known for his humanitarian efforts, supporting the livelihoods of several displaced families in Idlib camps, including some from the Syrian coast, and contributing to the development of olive oil and charcoal production plants inside the country.
