شهدت مدينة طرطوس في ساعات الفجر الأولى إطلاق صواريخ باتجاه جزيرة النمل (جزيرة غير مأهولة)، تزامنًا مع تحليق رشاش ثقيل من طراز 23 فوق أحياء سكنية.
ويُعتقد أن هذه التحركات تأتي ضمن تدريبات عسكرية، لكن توقيتها وموقعها وسط مناطق سكنية مأهولة يثير مخاوف المدنيين، ويُفسَّر على أنه محاولة متعمدة لبث الذعر بين السكان.

In the early hours of the morning, rockets were launched toward the uninhabited Al-Naml Island, while a 23mm anti-aircraft gun flew over residential neighborhoods.
Although believed to be part of military drills, conducting such operations near civilian areas at 2 AM seems designed to rattle nerves and spread fear — turning the night into a show of force.
