Arson fires, deliberately set by Jihadists of the de facto authority, have broken out in the lands of al-Qarama and al-Rafi‘a villages near the Maqam of Sheikh Salman in Bahloulieh, Latakia countryside.

Residents able to assist are urgently requested to head to the area to help contain the flames and prevent them from reaching homes.

The fires have now reached the vicinity of the Maqam of Sheikh Suleiman in al-Qarama town. Immediate intervention is required. Anyone able to provide a water tanker or assist in extinguishing the fire is urged to respond without delay.

These deliberate acts of arson represent systematic attacks on civilian property and religious sites, which may constitute crimes under international law.
