On Friday, we primarily positioned ourselves for the upcoming (this) week, but also achieved some solid closings. These were difficult markets / conditions, in which most traders became too defensive and cautious ahead of the weekend or made poor exits - we took a somewhat more aggressive approach.

We could have closed the EUR/USD 📸 position a bit higher and in profit overall, but we count the overall position as lost here - a very mixed closing. Our Brent 📸 position, however, closed in profit. I closed a bit lower - following the sharp decline in oil prices during European trading, even our originally set TP would still have been triggered.

We expect a positive start to Asian trading following the fairly typical caution on Friday. We are overall happy with our positioning and believe Friday’s NFP data should continue to provide a tailwind for risk sentiment.

► Risk sentiment improved at the start of Asian trading, just as we expected. However, losses in Europe amid political turmoil in France and Spain and mounting concerns over Europe’s public finances dampened risk sentiment. The EUR fell to a 17-month low against the USD, extending its recent weakness - despite last week’s surprisingly weak US jobs report, which significantly reduced expectations for further Fed rate hikes.

► We see a long list of headwinds, mostly related to oil prices and their impact on inflation. Nevertheless, Wall Street is trading near all-time highs.

► Fundamentals on Wall Street remain strong, particularly in the tech sector. With global stocks up 12% year to date, there is room for a larger correction. For now, however, we see potential for renewed gains - at least in the tech sector.

► We are seeing some losses in the chip sector, but expect investors to remain invested.

► We can re-enter the Nasdaq 100 around 150 points below our triggered TP.

Gains in Asian tech stocks had driven a strong pre-market start for Wall Street, particularly tech stocks, triggering both our Nasdaq 100 TP and our Dow Jones TP. We remain LONG, but are tightening our TP slightly for now while leaving our SLs unchanged. We see upside potential and also expect a strong performance from the Nasdaq’s most important stock, NVDA.

🔹 ExxonMobil (-0.6%) - is opening lower and has further short-term downside potential, with WTI down more than 1.5% (Brent only down 0.5%). XOM is opening near our TP (✅ @: 162.71).

🔹 Intel (-3.4%) - slipped after Elon Musk said he is now also in talks with TSMC, rather than exclusively with Intel, regarding his Terafab semiconductor production initiative. This would exclusively supply his companies Tesla, SpaceX, and xAI. INTC had benefited significantly from expectations that Musk was only considering Intel. INTC will stabilize, and we are looking for a re-entry. This is unfortunate for us, as the stock almost triggered our TP on Friday - and would have done so had we not widened it slightly. We are now tightening it a little again.

🔹 Meta (+0.2%) - is opening nearly flat. META has been stuck in a sideways range since last week after very impressive gains in September. We are leaving our position unchanged for now.

🔹 Netflix (+0.25%) - continues to stabilize after the sharp losses that we used as a buying opportunity. Our TP ✅ is set a little too wide - we are tightening it slightly.

► We like the outlook for Big Tech and see NVDA and MSFT opening significantly higher. We like both stocks, but they are already opening around 0.8% - 1% higher. I also like the near-term outlook for AAPL. We are letting AAPL pull back a little after the opening and will definitely enter below 332.00, while some rebound gains in the chip sector look likely.

► Fundamentally, we see AAPL as well positioned and consider the pre-market selling misguided. We find AAPL attractive as a more defensive tech stock and want to buy around / below 332.00.

► It was actually unnecessary to tighten the Nasdaq 100 TP - the gains we expected in Big Tech, particularly NVDA, AAPL, and MSFT, pushed the tech index higher, back near its all-time highs, and triggered our TP. SPCX and META are also up. INTC recovered around 2%, providing some relief as well. Very positive moves for our portfolio.

► We saw a rotation back into tech / growth stocks and are seeing weakness in more defensive sectors, as well as financials and energy. XOM easily reached our TP, delivering a nice profit. We successfully went short against the market twice on Friday.

► We are buying the current weakness in the Dow, which is trading 0.55% lower, while the Nasdaq 100 is up around 0.4%.

► Losses in GS, as well as CAT, are weighing on the Dow in particular. The two most important Dow components are both trading more than 1% lower. We are going LONG in the DOW near 50900 (below 50900 for the DJI).

BNP Paribas raised its price target for NVDA to $345 (from $285). Bernstein set a price target of as much as $400. Given its massive revenue growth, extremely high demand and high margins, NVDA is cheaply valued / undervalued!

There had been expectations that INTC would be the exclusive partner for Musk’s Terafab plans - apparently, that is no longer the case.

► The losses went very far and were also driven by already cautious Intel investors following the stock’s recent strong performance. INTC remains broadly bullish, even though the stock is quite expensive.

► We are re-entering and tightening our TP. Shortly before the end of regular trading, INTC is trading slightly below 116.00, or around 2.8% lower.

What a day, what a session. The market got nervous, but we already knew on Friday how the markets would play out today. Exceptional trading and excellent forecasting, including very strong decisions / trades today. Congratulations! 👏👏👏

As always, we trade the market exactly as it is and never rigidly stick to the same analysis. At the moment, we are barely seeing two consecutive sessions build on each other, but rather individual 24-hour sessions. We look for good entries and do not react in panic whenever the market shows signs of another reversal.

We closed 8 positions today - ALL IN PROFIT 💵

As always, strong NYSE Opening Trading - we also anticipated that the momentum in NVDA 📸 (I am closing slightly higher), MSFT, AAPL 📸, and META would continue.

While the list of uncertainties remains long and the bond crisis continues to weigh on markets, we still see solid underlying economic growth. Many negative factors are already priced in - such as the limited progress in the situation in the Persian Gulf.

► We see the S&P 500 within striking distance of moving back above 7800 and reaching a new all-time high. The Nasdaq is trading at peak levels, with tech stocks continuing to outperform. This includes further gains in NVDA and other chipmakers, as well as other Big Tech companies such as AMZN, SPCX, GOOGL, and META (we are LONG). We are also LONG in INTC (+0.6% in pre-market trading).

► All sectors are trading higher except energy - we are SHORT in XOM and found the perfect entry yesterday.

► We see a little more upside potential from here, supported by lower oil prices. US President Donald Trump is preparing to ease restrictions on the use of a tax-exempt type of diesel - his latest attempt to lower the cost of this essential fuel.

► We saw investors turn more cautious yesterday - we bought the dips and could hardly have been more right, buying at the lows for perfect trades. Gains extended beyond our triggered TPs. We see further upside potential ahead of earnings. AI stocks remain crucial for Wall Street, and we continue to see strong revenue growth, while margins have expanded even further. There is little reason to believe that gains cannot continue - if anything, we would expect only sentiment-driven pullbacks.
