The performance overview paints a more favorable picture than our portfolio currently reflects, as our open positions were hit by the OpenAI shock & panic reaction. However, we also managed to capitalize on the sell-off to a limited extent and even more if you dip bought chip stocks that became oversold across the board. Our analysis of the situation was correct. We are already seeing significant rebounds in NVDA, INTC, SKHY & co - we identified the ideal re-entry ranges.

We also responded to Trump's renewed "market manipulation". We handled the situation well (closed gold on time), but we are recording the "tiny" loss on gold 📸 as a losing position here, even though I personally closed it at a profit. We also closed another gold 📸 position successfully. Oil prices have eased further during the Asian session. We will also see the BTC rebound (still a good re-entry possible near 🔼 81500) - we tighten our TP ✅.

Your initial XOM 📸 position may still be open due to a slightly wider spread, even though our TP ✅ was reached. However, we identified a strong re-entry level, which I have recorded here as a regular reopening.

We are already seeing risk sentiment improve again, including a rebound in the oversold tech / AI sector. We can raise our Nasdaq 100 TP ✅ slightly. We can also raise our Russell 2000 TP ✅ a little, as the index was generally less affected by the market's overreaction to the OpenAI report (the Dow even closed higher).

► The OpenAI shock stemmed entirely from a misunderstanding among analysts and market participants, followed by panic selling. It shows again that the market is NOT always right: Market participants often act irrationally and follow the herd - often with the lack of understanding - all of this is exaggerated now with the use of AI. We were among the one in ten analysts who immediately recognized that this had to be a misunderstanding. It also exposes the poor level of much the analysts: the apparent gap between a $68B projection and a subsequent $50B annualized revenue figure should have prompted them to check whether the figures referred to the same period and if they are not comparing apple with pears.

► OpenAI has now reinforced its outlook, saying it will reach or exceed $70B annualized revenue by year-end, driven largely by rapid growth in its enterprise business. OpenAI is also in talks to raise another $30 billion at a $1.4 trillion valuation in its latest funding round. If OpenAI were publicly listed with a market capitalization of around $1.4T, it would rank as the 12th-largest company, just behind TSLA.

► We raised our TP yesterday (I have closed a little higher ✅📸), but even after strong gains, with the Nasdaq now up around 0.75% on the day, we still see further upside. Our overall position closed deep in profit.

► Oil prices eased following Trump's comments and extended their decline during Asian trading (Brent is currently down around 1.5%). We do not expect much additional support for equities from lower oil prices, but stocks still have room to recover from yesterday's analyst misinterpretation. We identified the perfect (re-)entry in XOM yesterday.

Congratulations again to the community for keeping a cool head. We secured an excellent Nasdaq re-entry and identified similarly strong re-entry opportunities in chip stocks.

The IRGC’s claim that it had hit another tanker briefly pushed oil prices higher, causing another short dip in the Nasdaq 100, and will likely lead to moderate selling. This attack changes today’s outlook for oil prices somewhat. In uncertain times such as the ongoing Iran war, oil prices tend to rise on Fridays anyway. We are tightening our TP slightly. AAPL is weighing heavily on the Nasdaq 100 following signs of potentially softening demand for the iPhone 18.

► The strong rotation into higher-risk assets / growth stocks is weighing on AAPL as a more defensive tech stock. AAPL benefited this week from more cautious sentiment and strong analyst calls. Investors will become increasingly cautious toward the close, which should improve the sentiment backdrop for AAPL. Signs of softening demand for the iPhone 18 are weighing on AAPL.

► We see further upside potential for SPCX following the mobile spectrum announcement and given the company’s ambitions to become a major US mobile carrier. The announcement sent telecom stocks sharply lower. Although SPCX is already opening around 2.7% higher, we see further upside potential. The market is rightly excited about a potentially enormous new revenue stream for SPCX. The stock fell 4.2% following yesterday’s OpenAI shock and therefore has rebound potential. SPCX was trading around 164.50 in pre-market. We may enter well below that.

► We are seeing significantly higher precious metals prices, particularly in Silver. Gains have been supported by lower oil prices and Gold’s return as a safe haven. This reflects concerns about fiscal stability, including France’s fiscally unsustainable path toward sovereign default, as well as sharply falling bond prices in the US and even Japan (essentially worldwide).

► We see GBP/USD trading flat / even slightly higher, with the GBP benefiting today from improved risk sentiment and weakness in other major currencies, including the EUR and GBP.

► The USD came under some pressure following weak consumer sentiment data from the University of Michigan (reported at 46.3 versus 47.6 expected and 48.1 previously).

► Oil prices also remain lower for now. However, we expect a slight uptick heading into the weekend amid concerns about further escalation in the Persian Gulf - particularly additional IRGC attacks on tankers. There is also a risk of further escalation between Yemen’s Houthi rebels and Saudi Arabia. Three Saudi citizens were killed and several others injured in attacks on Riyadh airport, for which the Iran-backed Houthis claimed responsibility.

► A weak Canadian jobs report also reinforced expectations of a slowdown in the US, particularly following last week’s weak NFP report. Reduced expectations for Fed rate hikes have recently limited USD gains.

► We remain bullish on the USD overall in the near term.

► We do not expect any major swings, but the pair has room for a modest pullback. The key 1.32000 level is also likely to be retested in the coming sessions. The pair received another boost from lower oil prices, but we see resistance to further upside from here.

Good Morning!

Our 🔼 signal accuracy / success rate improved as a 4/5 session (SA/SR = 80%) was replaced by last Friday’s very strong 7/8 session (SA/SR = 87.5%). Our overall success rate over the rolling five-week period now stands at a still extremely high 90.7% 🏆

In a relatively quiet session today, risk sentiment improved following Thursday’s losses, which were primarily triggered by a “misunderstanding” of the latest reports on OpenAI’s business performance.

Stocks closed mostly higher, although chip stocks faced renewed profit-taking and INTC extended its decline. META closed little changed. Other tech stocks, including software names, as well as consumer and financial stocks, posted strong gains ahead of earnings season.

Slightly lower oil prices also provided support. This was partly driven by expectations that a deal between US President Trump and his Russian counterpart Putin would bring larger volumes of Russian diesel to global markets / into the US.

It was not a very busy session, with investors showing little appetite for major directional bets. Risk sentiment ended on a positive note ahead of earnings season, supported by lower oil prices with the prospect of additional Russian diesel supplies easing pressure on oil and fuel prices.

We extended our already impressive recent performance in XOM 📸 with two more short positions opened on price spikes, both of which hit their TPs. Alone our XOM profits alone over the past few days have paid for several months’ worth of fuel for many of you, if not years for many of you - another reminder to share some of our profits with people in need ❤️

We could of traded the rebound in gold more, particularly the recovery that began on Thursday as oil prices started giving back their recent gains. Instead, we shorted the overextended rally in silver 📸. We could have secured a slightly better exit, but we are happy with the closing and will find plenty of opportunities in the coming week.

Our session started with a big profit with the Nasdaq 📸 when we took advantage of the largely unjustified "OpenAI shock". We are LONG again - a position that may close on Monday.

Underperformance in the chip sector weighed somewhat on our portfolio, but we are already positioned for what is likely to be another strong earnings season. LONG positions in financials could have been an option, but if anything, we already have slightly too much exposure on the LONG side.

It was a challenging week, with markets remaining choppy, but overall yet another positive one for us overall.

► We had a good start to the week. Gains in Asia / Europe also supported stocks in early US pre-market trading and triggered our Nasdaq 100 TP ✅📸 for a solid profit. We are now seeing renewed profit-taking in the Nasdaq 100 amid higher oil prices and further profit-taking in the chip sector as attention turns to the start of earnings season. Higher oil prices have also strengthened the USD slightly again. Our GBP/USD position is just a few pips away from TP (1.32256).

► Wall Street is coming off a winning week with new all-time highs. The Nasdaq is now slightly in negative territory and more than 100 points below our triggered TP, and we are re-entering LONG.

► Investors are skeptical about the “energy ceasefire” Trump announced over the weekend, which neither Kyiv nor Moscow has confirmed. It looks more like one of Trump’s typical lies aimed at pushing oil prices lower and putting political pressure on leaders - currently Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in particular. If there was any agreement, Moscow violated it that very same day.

► It will be an eventful week as earnings season for the previous quarter gets underway. I expect another round of strong corporate results. Banks in particular are likely to report strong revenue from trading activities.

► We are re-entering LONG in the Nasdaq.

Investment firm Pivotal reiterated its “BUY” recommendation for SPCX and raised its price target to $230 (from $220). Pivotal shares our assessment of the substantial upside potential from SPCX’s expansion into mobile internet services.

► Despite the strong performance of the energy sector over previous sessions, we generated huge overall profits by trading the sector SHORT and repeatedly selling price spikes. XOM is trading well above last week’s highs in pre-market trading, and we expect further waves of profit-taking, likely after some additional modest gains initially.

► XOM is opening around 1.3% higher (near 171.25), and we are once again looking for an entry against this strong performance. Oil prices are up around 2% (both Brent and WTI). We also expect Trump to try again to convince the market that there is some kind of agreement between the US and Russia or a ceasefire on attacks against energy facilities between Ukraine and Russia. Although the market is rightly not taking Trump seriously here, he will try to artificially push very high oil and fuel prices somewhat lower.

► We are also looking for entries in financials ahead of tomorrow’s first major earnings reports (mostly from banks), including JPM, GS, WFC, and C. We particularly like GS after its recent underperformance - however, we are seeing a positive opening initially and are waiting for a dip. We also see potential for outperformance in AAPL, MSFT, and GOOGL, as well as other Big Tech stocks outside the chip sector (including META and SPCX, which are already opening strongly).

► We closed our Silver SHORT position too early on Friday and are now seeing the move we expected - excessive pressure and a pullback to $60.00. Gold is holding up slightly better as investors increasingly view it as a safe haven again.

► We can re-enter SHORT. Silver continues to face headwinds from a stronger USD (our GBP/USD position hit TP) and further increases in yields. High oil prices remain a key driver of these moves.

► For the USD and precious metal prices, the upcoming inflation data will be in focus (CPI on WED, PPI on THU). These reports are likely to provide further signs that inflation remains too high amid extremely elevated oil and fuel prices.

► We see signs of stabilization in risk assets, but overall a mixed market. Investors remain cautious ahead of earnings season, which gets into full swing tomorrow with reports from some of the largest US banks.

► The USD (DXY) is at its highest level in around 18 months today.

► We could have closed our GBP/USD SHORT position (TP ✅📸) slightly lower today as the USD extended its gains. The USD (DXY) is trading at its highest level in around 18 months. The pair encountered resistance in the 1.32400 - 1.32450 range exactly (!) as we predicted on Friday.

► As long as oil prices remain elevated, there is little room for the EUR or JPY to recover against the USD.

► Risk sentiment has not deteriorated significantly. Instead, we saw a mostly quiet / rather mixed session, although high energy prices and inflation concerns continued to exert pressure.

► With no signs of an improvement in the situation in the Middle East, there is limited room for elevated oil prices to decline. Trump is actively trying to somehow push oil prices slightly lower, but the market gives his statements little credibility. Tehran also described the US response to Iran’s conditions for ending the war as “inadequate.”

► We see increasing LONG positioning in the USD. The upcoming inflation data will be key. I expect investors to increasingly anticipate a significantly higher inflation reading in the CPI report than in the recent PCE data.

► The JPY remains supported by widespread expectations that the Bank of Japan will continue to support the currency. The JPY also benefits from pronounced EUR weakness amid political uncertainty and concerns about stability in Europe.

It was a slow start into the week. Our 🟡 signal accuracy / success rate in the rolling five-week statistic remained stable as a perfect 5/5 session 💎 (SA/SR = 100%) was replaced by last week's flawless Monday performance 5/5 session 💎 (SA/SR = 100%).

Our still open positions came a bit under pressure with the big exception of META closing nearly 3.4% higher + a big profit with SPCX. Today's results show how well we traded on Friday: all positions carried over from that session closed in profit today (Nasdaq 📸, SPCX 📸, GBP/USD 📸), delivering another flawless session (5/5 💎; SA/SR = 100%).

We saw a difficult market today - a cautious and unsettled market. Geopolitical uncertainty and concerns over further deterioration in the Middle East continue to weigh on global risk sentiment. Investors also remain cautious ahead of key inflation data and the first major earnings reports due later today.

While we secured some very strong exits today, our overall exposure is a bit too high. We will aim to reduce it over the next 24 hours, including also accepting some exits at a loss.

We can re-enter the Nasdaq in the 🔼30400–30450 range and tighten our TP ✅. We are also setting a tighter TP ✅ for USD/JPY. Silver hit our TP ✅📸.
