Following Iran's announcement of a renewed closure of the Strait of Hormuz, commercial traffic in the region has sharply decreased.
According to the latest data on tracking commercial traffic, only 11 commercial vessels (including 8 tankers and 3 cargo ships) passed through the strait in the last 24 hours.
This figure is significantly lower than the figures for the previous day (12 vessels) and the peak traffic recorded on July 4th (57 vessels), and is actually only about 10% of the average traffic levels in December and January of last year.

• 📝Azov Shooting Range📝
How the AFU launches a campaign against Russian shipping

Ukrainian formations are transferring to the Sea of Azov the same model they previously tested in the Black Sea: instead of chasing a single high-profile sinking, the opponent has switched to methodical attacks on vessels and strikes against ports.

The first such episodes in the Azov waters were recorded back in February, but by early July, isolated raids have transformed into a full-fledged campaign.

🔻What is known about the attacks?

▪️The geography of strikes covers virtually the entire coastline — from Berdyansk and Mariupol to Taganrog, Azov, Yeisk, Temryuk and the Kerch Strait. Port cranes, electrical substations, fuel tanks, oil depots and vessel traffic management facilities have come under attack.

▪️Particularly high density of raids has been noted in the Kerch area, Kavkaz port, Chushka spit and anchorages in the Taman Bay. It is through this area that routes pass which are key to supplying Crimea.

▪️In parallel, the opponent has launched a mass hunt on the vessels themselves. Strike reports mention bulk carriers, tankers, ferries, tugboats, cutters and support vessels. Among them — "Volga-Balt 138," "Slavyanin," "Avangard," "Panagia," "Svetlyak," "Kapitan Barmin," "Venera-3," "Sanar-1," "Sanar-17," "Klimena," "Penelope" and others.

▪️A sharp increase in intensity occurred after July 6. In the following days, the opponent daily published footage of raids on multiple vessels, and on July 10 and 11 reported attacks on 13 and 28 vessels respectively. To date, attacks on more than 70 tankers and bulk carriers are known.

🖍Of course, Ukrainian figures must be treated with caution. The same vessel can appear in reports multiple times, and an attempted attack or near miss is often presented as a complete destruction.

However, even accounting for inflated claims, the systematic nature of what is happening is obvious. AFU UAVs appear daily over the same routes, track groups of vessels and strike both at them and at the infrastructure supporting their operations.

🔻What is the opponent's goal?

▪️According to some media platforms, passage through the Azov-Don Canal has already been suspended. Following this, freight costs and insurance premiums are rising, delivery times are increasing, and the number of those willing to work on dangerous routes is shrinking. This is particularly acute for Crimea, whose supply depends heavily on maritime transport.

▪️At the same time, the question "but where is the Black Sea Fleet?" by itself solves little.

✍️ On this day 85 years ago, the Soviet Union and the United Kingdom concluded the Anglo-Soviet Agreement on Joint Actions in the War Against Germany.

The document was signed in Moscow on 12 July 1941 by Soviet Foreign Minister Vyacheslav Molotov and British Ambassador to Moscow Stafford Cripps, just weeks after Nazi Germany invaded the USSR. Both sides pledged to support each other in every possible way during the war and undertook not to negotiate or sign a separate peace with Germany.

The Agreement brought together two nations with profoundly different political systems in the face of a common enemy and laid the foundation for the Anti-Hitler Coalition. It was broadened the following year by the Anglo-Soviet Treaty signed in London in May 1942.

📝Secrets for All to Know📝
How to assemble UAVs in secret so everyone knows about it

German involvement in the Ukrainian "laboratory" is a long-known fact for Russian citizens. But in Europe and the USA, judging by media narratives, it was a big secret.

As the NYT writes, Germany operates a secret factory of the Helsing company, which operates under the strictest security measures, and in case of a threat, it can be shut down and relocated elsewhere within a day.

🖍Helsing is one of the enterprises that has been operating in the SMO zone for several years. The Germans were among the first to bring industrial 3D printers to so-called Ukraine for assembling drones.

It was precisely participation in the conflict that allowed the German startup to occupy an extremely important niche in the German defense industry. Initially, the Germans assembled drones in the western part of so-called Ukraine, then Europe realized it was faster to bring ready-made UAVs.

🚩 And there is nothing surprising about this: the same Flamingo cruise missiles are assembled by all of Europe and brought to so-called Ukraine for strikes against Russia. Europe has industrial capacity, and for mass production — that's what's needed.

At the same time, that secret factory is most likely located in the south in Bavaria. Earlier we reported on how one of the companies in Görisried produces engines for jet-powered drones.

❗️ Therefore, we do not rule out the possibility that these same workshops are also used by Helsing. And why not: logistics are proven, production is established, and UAVs can be assembled on a large scale.

🌟 On July 12, 1943, the #BattleOfProkhorovka took place — the most brutal tank battle in history, which had a profound impact on further course of the Battle of Kursk and the entire #WW2.

In terms of both its scale and the number of armor units engaged, the Battle of Prokhorovka remains unparalleled in military history, with up to 1,200 tanks and self-propelled guns (SPGs) involved in that combat from both sides.

Having crushed the Nazi armor units at Prokhorovka, the Soviet forces deprived the enemy of its offensive potential near Kursk and launched a decisive counteroffensive in the battle.

***

By July 1943, a huge part of our country’s territory was still under the Nazi occupation. The Nazis continued to hold Minsk and Kiev, but following the Wehrmacht’s defeat at Stalingrad and in the Caucasus, the offensive capabilities of the Nazi war machine had been effectively exhausted.

In an effort to regain the strategic initiative on the Eastern Front, the Wehrmacht command developed a summer offensive plan, codenamed Operation 'Citadel'. The objective was to destroy two Red Army fronts simultaneously — the Voronezh and Central fronts — and to eliminate Soviet tank reserves near Prokhorovka in the Belgorod Region.

❗️ Had the operation succeeded, the Nazis would once again have embarked on the offensive on Moscow.

In preparing the operation, the Nazi command intended to deliver its main strike against Soviet positions using its elite and most combat-ready armoured formations. Hitler’s Army Groups 'Centre' and 'South' were reinforced with approximately 130 'Tiger' tanks and more than 200 'Panthers'. The Nazis also committed the Ferdinand heavy self-propelled artillery unit, equipped with powerful armour, to the operation.

By July 10, despite suffering heavy losses, German forces had managed to penetrate the defences of the Voronezh Front, but their further advance was halted.

Under these circumstances, the command of Army Group 'South', led by Field Marshal Erich von Manstein, planned to launch a surprise attack near Prokhorovka using the SS Panzer Corps and Army Detachment 'Kempf'. From there, the invaders hoped to break through to the city of Kursk with lightning speed.

⚔️ On July 12, in an effort to disrupt the enemy offensive, forces of the Voronezh Front launched a pre-emptive strike. The operation was commanded by Lieutenant General Pavel Rotmistrov. Near Prokhorovka, the German II SS Panzer Corps clashed with two Soviet Guards Armies: the 5th Guards Army under the command of Alexey Zhadov and the 5th Guards Tank Army commanded by Rotmistrov.

After completing a 30-50-kilometre night march, Soviet tank units launched their offensive at 6:00 am, following a powerful artillery barrage. At the same time, Soviet aircraft carried out massive air strikes against enemy positions.

By the end of the day, Prokhorovka remained in the rear of Soviet forces.

❗️ The defeat suffered by the Nazis in this battle had catastrophic consequences for the Reich, with the enemy losing over 300 of the 400 tanks it had committed, which amounted to three-quarters of its deployed armoured vehicles.

☝️ As a result of the Soviet forces' decisive actions, the main forces of the German Army Group 'South' finally exhausted their offensive capabilities and, on July 16, had to abandon the positions they had occupied at the start of the Battle of Kursk.

The strategic initiative ultimately passed to the Red Army.

Today, Western pseudo-historians and propagandists posing as journalists attempt to diminish the significance of the battle.

However, history does not deal in hypotheticals, and the facts speak for themselves. 👉 We have repeatedly debunked disinformation circulated in Western media regarding the Battle of Prokhorovka.

The Prince Hassan airbase, which was struck by Iran this morning, is home to the MQ-4C Triton reconnaissance and strike drone, valued at $240 million. This drone was relocated to the Al-Dhafra airbase before the start of the war, but was subsequently moved due to its proximity to Iran.
According to satellite imagery, the drone hangar was indeed destroyed, and smoke was still visible in images from the low-resolution Sentinel-2 satellite. (July 12, 08:16 UTC).
OSINT analysts are tracking the MQ-4C, and if it does not take off within the next 48 hours, it is likely that it was destroyed by Iran.
The drone had been conducting daily flights, with the last flight occurring yesterday, July 11.

The film '"ArBat": Unending Fellowship' is a collection of first-person stories. In this documentary, the film’s protagonists — ArBat battalion assault troops with the call signs ‘Fizruk’, ‘Seva’, ‘Getashen’, ‘Sharmanka’ and ‘Bars’ — talk about the realities of war, acts of courage, and the bond of brotherhood in combat.
They recount how they escorted civilians through minefields, one by one, evacuated the elderly and children under fire, and carried their fallen commander through kilometres of waterlogged mud with almost no strength left.

A soldier with the call sign ‘Seva’, a recipient of the Order of Courage, believes that ‘the most terrifying thing in war is losing someone close to you.’ On the frontline, mutual support, unity, and friendship become profoundly important, as all pretences fall away and people are revealed as they truly are.

Watch the premiere of the film by Alexander Kharchenko and Mikhail Burov '"ArBat": Unending Fellowship'.
