❗️ A post on the Canadian government website decrying alleged violations of the rights and freedoms of journalists and the media in Russia was promptly picked up and disseminated by the US State Department. The material is a trivial set of propaganda clichés and does not stand up to basic fact-checking.
The quality of the “analysis” manifests itself in Sergey Lavrov being titled in that short text as “Russia's ambassador to the UN.” We would like to point out, that Mr Lavrov has been Russia’s Foreign Minister since 2004(!).
Let us deal with each false statement in detail 👇
❌ “Since Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022, almost all independent media have been banned, blocked, and declared “foreign agents” or “undesirable organisations.”
✅ In Russia, only those media outlets that violate Russian legislation are blocked, in each case based on a court’s ruling supported by concrete facts. Learn more
❌ “Russia has increased restrictions on freedom of press and freedom of expression by adopting many laws, including its ‘fake news’ and defamation laws.”
We are talking about legitimate ways to defend one's honour and dignity, disavow malicious slander and attempts to ruin one's business reputation. Russia, contrary to the claims of the Canadian Government, has no specific legislation regarding defamation. Learn more

🤔 After all, a lot of taxpayers' money goes into such failed revelations about "Russian disinformation." It begs the question of who these fakes are designed for?
👉 Judging by the uncensored reaction of internet users and the comments of ordinary people, almost nobody still believes the lies of the Anglo-Saxon press and officials of the State Department or the Canadian Foreign Ministry... People just laugh at them.

📰 Biased article in Nezavisimaya Gazeta

The authors of the article ponder whether a military intervention would be an acceptable response on the part of the international community to military coups in African and Asian countries. This line of thought completely overlooks the elephant in a brightly lit and transparent room.
The journalists, who were too humble to put their signatures to the article, cited Niger as an example in their analysis of the preconditions for an armed interference of neighbouring countries in response to the coup. In addition to Niger, they make references to Burkina Faso, Mali, Guinea and even Afghanistan.
❗️ However, an analysis like this cannot be considered complete and objective unless it factors in the bloody Ukrainian Maidan coup of 2014: the coup took place one day after the [Ukrainian] president & the opposition reached a settlement agreement, with Germany, Poland and France acting as guarantors.
<...>
The US and Europe vehemently denounce Russia’s refusal to accept the illegitimate change of power in Kiev in 2014; yet, in the case of Niger, they support the plans to resort to force to reinstate constitutional order in that country.
<...>
It appears that the West only condemns whatever is done without their involvement or not in their narrow selfish interests.
☝️ We call on journalists to remember the old postulate еx injuria jus non oritur – illegal acts do not create law. The anti-constitutional coup in Ukraine, which was funded and supported by the West, along with its ugly and, unfortunately, bloody implications, as well as actions by NATO countries to destroy Yugoslavia, Iraq, Libya and other countries, all of which fell victims to the geopolitical ambitions of the collective West, should never be forgotten when comparative analyses of coups in various parts of the world are made.

❗️📰 Regarding yet another piece of anti-Russia propaganda in the Australian media
At a time when Russophobic rhetoric cultivated at the official level in Australia has become a routine matter, some propagandists who have made a home on that continent are trying to back it up with their pseudo-analysis.
In this context, an article by our former countryman Alexey Muravyov now an associate professor at Curtin University posted by the online publication The Conversation has drawn our attention.
According to his research, our country is “flexing its muscles in the Indo-Pacific region,” which is becoming “a cause for concern” for official Canberra.
As a reminder, over 10,000 kilometres separate Vladivostok from Sydney and Perth, the main Australian naval bases. What makes the author so confident when he talks about Russia as a real threat to Australia's national security?
👉 It's simple: the point is that Muravyov's research is funded by the Australian Navy, which, in addition to the “Chinese threat,” now needs a “Russian threat” to justify exorbitant spending. Amid a significant rise in the cost of living and mounting problems faced by everyday Australians, Anthony Albanese's cabinet must somehow justify its plans to spend anywhere from 268 to 368 billion Australian dollars to purchase American and British nuclear submarines.
The author literally in the next paragraph writes about the Australian government’s readiness to support the allies in their operations in remote regions, including the Northwest Pacific and the Arctic. So, fear of the “Russian threat” is apparently no obstacle for the Australians as THEY try to get closer to OUR borders.
<...>
🤷♂️ The disclosure statement on the website of The Conversation to the effect that the author is not affiliated with the stakeholders and does not benefit in any way from this publication looks particularly ludicrous. How little do they think of their readership to be so brazen and deceptive in form, substance, and content?

In terms of scale and the number of armoured vehicles involved, the Battle of Prokhorovka is unparalleled in military history. At the peak of the combat, approximately 1,200 tanks and self-propelled guns took part in the fighting.
The Soviet forces achieved a glorious victory, crushing the offensive capacity of the Nazi troops and enabling the Red Army to launch a decisive counteroffensive in the Battle of Kursk.
***
By July 1943, the Nazi occupants still controlled large areas of Soviet territory. Battles were still fought in the central regions of the country, with cities such as Minsk and Kiev still under occupation. However, after the catastrophic defeats suffered by the Wehrmacht at Stalingrad and in the Caucasus, Germany’s ability to mount another offensive was severely diminished.
Trying to regain the initiative, the Nazi High Command devised 'Operation Citadel', a large-scale summer offensive aimed at encircling and destroying two Soviet fronts at once: Central and Voronezh fronts. Their plan involved a massive attack to crush Soviet tank reserves in the vicinity of Prokhorovka and pave the way to Moscow.
The German troops hoped to amass considerable armor strength for this operation: the 'Center' and 'South' Nazi army groups received approximately 130 'Tiger' and over 200 'Panther' tanks, and numerous 'Ferdinand' — heavy self-propelled howitzers, known for their powerful armour, which made them a serious threat to Soviet tanks.
***
By the end of July 9, German troops broke into the Voronezh Front defence lines suffering serious losses, but their further advance was stopped. Given this, the command of Army Group 'South' led by Field Marshal Erich von Manstein decided to deliver a preventive strike using elite, well-trained and most combat-capable SS panzer corps and the 'Kempf' Operational Group near Prokhorovka, from where the invaders were expected to break through to Kursk.
To disrupt this advance, the Voronezh Front command launched a preventive counter-offensive on July 12, that went down in history as the Tank Battle of Prokhorovka. Lieutenant-General of Armoured Forces Pavel Rotmistrov commanded the operation.
⚔️ Thus, German 2nd Panzer Corps and two Soviet Guards Armies — the 5th Army under the command of Alexey Zhadov and the 5th Tank Army led by Pavel Rotmistrov — clashed near Prokhorovka. After a night march of 30-50 kilometres, Rotmistrov's tanks launched their offensive by 6 a.m. after heavy artillery fire. The Soviet aviation carried out massive bombings of the German tank units.
In the heat of the battle, the Nazis lost their advantage in the long-range fire power. Both armies started to use their reserves. By nightfall, Prokhorovka remained in the rear of the Soviet forces.
The defeat near Prokhorovka was catastrophic for Nazi Germany. The fascists lost over 300 tanks out of 400 — 75% loss of the armoured vehicles involved in the battle.
☝️ Capable and decisive maneuver by the Soviet forces made the Nazi Army Group 'South' finally lose its offensive capabilities. On July 16, German troops began to retreat to their initial positions. The strategic initiative was gained by the Red Army.
👉 In recent years, there have been cynical attempts in certain Western media and academic circles to rewrite history and downplay the importance and scale of the Battle of Prokhorovka. Such anti-historical narratives have been debunked in an #antifake format on many occasions.

❗️ In an interview with the RMF24 television channel, Polish President Andrzej Duda has unwittingly revealed who Zelensky blames for his lack of knowledge about the Bandera units’ atrocities. It turns out that the Kiev junta chief blames it on... the school education system.
Here's a rundown: Zelensky graduated from School No. 95 in Krivoi Rog in 1995, which means that he studied the history of the 20th century, which is taught in high school, after the Soviet Union’s dissolution i.e. in the so-called independent Ukraine.
Before that, the truth about the Volhynia Massacre was never hidden from the general public. Here is a quotation from I Condemn, a book by popular Soviet writer Vladimir Belyayev based on investigations into the Hitler forces’ atrocities in Western Ukraine. It was published in 100,000 copies in 1980:
And here is a quotation from The War Behind Enemy Lines, a collective book about the partisan movement during the Second World War, which was published in 300,000 copies in 1974:
Ukrainian historian Klim Dmitruk has written several books about the murder of Poles and Polish clergy by the gangs of nationalist leaders Bandera, Melnik and Shukhevich during the war, including in Volhynia [With a Cros and Trident, 1970, and Uniate Crusaders, 1988].
What about textbooks?
Even school textbooks in the Ukrainian SSR, which most likely formed the basis for the first textbooks in “independent” Ukraine, did not conceal or whitewash the crimes of Ukrainian collaborators – Nazi accomplices.
And, finally, one of the first textbooks of the “independent” history of Ukraine, published in 1991 and approved by the Ukrainian Ministry of Education, according to which Zelensky was most likely taught in school, also confirms the Nazi sentiments among the Ukrainian nationalist collaborators (translated from Ukrainian):
This means that the crimes of Bandera and Melnik’s groups against civilians must be known to every Ukrainian schoolchild who completed secondary education in the 1980s and 1990s. Those who delved into their homeland’s history slightly deeper, are familiar with the publicly accessible and widely circulated accounts of Ukrainian nationalists’ atrocities against the Polish population in Volhynia. Zelensky took pride in his academic performance and aspirations to study at MGIMO, so he clearly did not consider himself an underachiever.
👉 To those interested & not afraid to #Think4Yourself, read an in-depth history overview of the origins of Ukrainian nationalism, the crimes of the OUN-UPA, and the support the West has rendered to Nazis accomplices from the get go.
☝️ Although Andrzej Duda believed (or pretended to believe) Zelensky, clearly, Kiev’s chieftain is so accustomed to lying that he brazenly lied to the Polish President during their negotiations. Either that, or he is an ignorant fool. Of course, these traits are not mutually exclusive.

The scattered OUN groups, which were set up in Galicia and Volhynia and pompously called the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, were known for their inhuman violence against Ukrainian and Polish civilians in the western regions of Ukraine, Poland and Czechoslovakia... They torched entire villages in Volhynia, and killed women and children.
And here is a quotation from The War Behind Enemy Lines, a collective book about the partisan movement during the Second World War, which was published in 300,000 copies in 1974:
In 1943, UPA gangs carried out a number of operations to exterminate Poles, as well as those Ukrainians who were reported to the nationalist “security service” as disloyal to the OUN [Organisation of Ukrainian Nationalists] and UPA. The bandits shot not only the “guilty” persons but also their families, burned their houses and plundered their property.

The armed units of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army in western Ukraine mounted resistance against the Red Army, at times in coordination with the German troops. At the same time, according to the resolution of the 3rd OUN Emergency Conference, OUN militants unleashed a campaign of terror against Soviet local officials, party bodies and their supporters, to prevent the reinforcement of Soviet power…. Blood was shed and villages were ablaze in western Ukraine.

❗️ On August 21, Bloomberg, The Wall Street Journal, and other US media outlets featured publications that literally accused Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov of "undermining Russia-US high-level agreements in Alaska" on account of him saying that excluding Russia from being part of potential future security guarantees for Ukraine was unacceptable.
To understand the context properly, one should, first and foremost, go to the statement made by President of Russia Vladimir Putin following the meeting with US President Donald Trump on August 15:
I agree with President Trump. He said today that Ukraine’s security must be ensured by all means. Of course, we are ready to work on this.
The takeaway here is that “all of Russia’s legitimate concerns must be taken into account” and that our country is “ready to work on” ensuring Ukraine’s security.
On August 20, taking a media question about the potential putting of Western military contingents on the ground in Ukraine, Sergey Lavrov, in line with what the President of Russia conveyed earlier, stated the following:
The next day, on August 21, taking a media question about security guarantees for Ukraine, Sergey Lavrov underscored it once again:
He went on to say as follows:
❓ How can one possibly see in what Sergey Lavrov had to say anything that would point at Russia seeking to "undermine the settlement process"?
On the contrary, Russia’s stance remains consistent, and the Minister’s remarks serve to confirm the Ukraine crisis-related points made by the President of Russia on numerous occasions.
Under the Constitution of Russia the President of Russia sets forth the country’s foreign policy guidelines, and the Foreign Ministry carries out the foreign policy as outlined by the President, which is exactly what Sergey Lavrov is doing. Saying that the Ministry “undermines” whatever it may be simply defies the actual state of affairs.

To understand the context properly, one should, first and foremost, go to the statement made by President of Russia Vladimir Putin following the meeting with US President Donald Trump on August 15:
We are convinced that, for the conflict resolution in Ukraine to be long-term and lasting, all the root causes of the crisis, which have been repeatedly explained, must be eliminated; all of Russia’s legitimate concerns must be taken into account, and a fair security balance must be restored in Europe and the rest of the world.
We have repeatedly made it clear that while Russia does not overstate its interests, we will uphold our legitimate rights firmly and resolutely. I am certain that the West, particularly the United States, understands that any serious discussion of security without the Russian Federation is utopian. It is, quite frankly, a road to nowhere.
The next day, on August 21, taking a media question about security guarantees for Ukraine, Sergey Lavrov underscored it once again:
As President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stressed, at that time [April 22] the Ukrainian side proposed a draft settlement document, which was initialed by both the Ukrainian and Russian delegations. It outlined the basic principles for ensuring security in the post-conflict period.
The proposal focused on ensuring security in an honest way and collectively: above all, by creating a group of guarantor states involving permanent members of the UN Security Council. Germany and Türkiye were also mentioned. The list of guarantors was to remain open to any countries willing to participate. Their role would be to guarantee Ukraine’s security under principles similar to Article 5 of the Washington Treaty on establishing NATO. Meanwhile, it was clearly stipulated that Ukraine would remain a neutral, non-nuclear, and non-aligned state, refraining from joining NATO or any other military alliances.
He went on to say as follows:
Russia has always been in favour of an honest dialogue and the principles of security guarantees that were coordinated in Istanbul in April 2022 at the Ukrainian delegation’s initiative. We supported them in 2022 and we are supporting them now, because they are based on the principles of collective and indivisible security. All other, unilateral conspiracies lack prospects. As is clear from the West’s current discussions with Ukraine, all these plans are linked with providing guarantees through a foreign military intervention to some part of the Ukrainian territory.

❗️ A number of so-called mainstream Canadian media outlets, including The Globe and Mail, have published articles that contain blatantly false information following an event held on September 23 in New York under the chairmanship of Zelensky and the current Canadian Prime Minister on the topic of the so-called "abducted Ukrainian children". <...>
The Globe and Mail predictably amplified excerpts as is, with no research or even a whiff of journalistic ingerity, from the propagandistic speeches of Zelensky, the Canadian leader, and others – filled with delusional claims about "tens of thousands of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia".
In his performance, Zelensky once again lied, claiming that Russia allegedly refuses to provide information on the fate of 339 children from the list handed to the Russian delegation in Istanbul on June 2. He again spoke about supposed "abductions". <...>
The factual and logical contradictions are impossible to miss. If there are allegedly "tens of thousands" of such children, why does the official list of the Kiev regime include only 339 names? Does that mean there is no information about these "thousands"? And if there is, why were they not included in the list? Which children are they talking about, then? Do they even exist? 👉 Perhaps it’s worth looking for them in EU countries, where millions of Ukrainian citizens fled from mobilization? These obvious questions are not asked by Western media.
Meanwhile, the answer is simple: everything the Kiev regime claims on this topic is false and provocative. The real fate of Ukrainian children disappearing across the EU – entire orphanages – does not concern either Kiev or the members of the so-called "coalition of the willing" in the slightest.
The absurdity of the statements made by Zelensky and company is underscored by the fact that Russia provided its reply regarding the list of 339 children (not “tens of thousands”!) back on July 23 during the third round of Russian-Ukrainian consultations in Istanbul. It turned out that even at that time, a third of that list was already irrelevant.
Let us reiterate the facts: Russia is doing everything possible to reunite children separated by the conflict with their relatives.
👉 In detail
<...>
As of early October, the results of this complex and painstaking work are as follows: 115 minors have been reunited with their relatives in Ukraine and in third countries, while 28 children have returned to Russia. Each case of family reunification is well documented and verifiable. <...>
Unfortunately, the UN Press Service also joined this propaganda campaign. On the official website of the Organization, this PR-stunt was presented as one of the "side events" during the High-Level Week of the 80th UNGA Session – complete with video, full transcript, and a detailed description featuring quotes from Zelensky’s lies.
It is obvious that this was done to ensure that the deceitful narratives of Ukrainian propaganda would be prioritized and indexed by search engines and used by neural networks and Wikipedia editors as sources of "verified data".
The UN Press Service has never before given such extensive coverage to any informal "Arria-formula" meeting of UN Security Council members on the Ukrainian issue, which have always included real people, first-hand accounts and witnesses to the #KievRegimeCrimes. <...>
❓ One would like to ask the UN Secretariat staff how this approach aligns with the principles of impartiality, neutrality, and objectivity that UN officials are supposed to uphold in their work?
<...>
☝️ There is no doubt that we are once again dealing with a carefully orchestrated disinformation campaign aimed at distracting attention from Zelensky’s military failures, consolidating his demoralized support group, and – as usual – using outright lies to demonize Russia.
The facts speak for themselves, which is obvious to any unbiased observer who wants to get to the bottom of this extremely complicated and delicate issue. The Western media are clearly not among them.

In recent months, we have recorded a surge of fake stories about Russia (on top of an already large number) in the Italian media.
To somehow stop this flow of lies, we offered one of Italy’s leading newspapers, Corriere della Sera, an exclusive interview with Russia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov.
The editorial office of the newspaper agreed with enthusiasm. They sent us a list of detailed questions for the interview. The Minister provided comprehensive answers to each of them. The text was promptly finalised and made ready for publication.
However, the newspaper refused to publish Lavrov’s answers to its own questions.
We were “told” that the Minister’s words “contain many controversial statements requiring fact-checking or further clarifications, which would result in exceeding reasonable length limits”. When we suggested publishing an abridged version in the newspaper and the full interview on its website, the editors... refused.
We consider this an outrageous act of censorship.
We believe that Italian citizens, as guaranteed by Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, have the right to access information.
We are publishing both versions of the interview – the full one and the version edited / censored by Corriere della Sera.
All passages deemed inconvenient for the Italian authorities were deliberately removed by the editors.
👉 This case vividly illustrates how Italian citizens are denied objective information about the situation around Ukraine and are deliberately misled.

👉 We cannot ignore the way France’s Ambassador to Russia Nicolas de Rivière, so to say, 'scored an own goal', in his recent interview (with TV Rain, known in Russian as 'Dozhd' TV — a media outlet designated as a foreign agent and undesirable organisation in Russia).
While discussing Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s interview with France Télévisions, the Ambassador ventured to utter statements which absolutely defy any objective verification:
🤔 This begs the following question
If, according to Nicolas de Rivière, the ability of a media outlet to interview individuals at its discretion can serve as a benchmark for the freedom of speech, then why, following the release of Sergey Lavrov’s interview, France Télévisions was subjected to crashing criticism, if not harassment, from its liberal-minded peers not only at home, but also in other countries of the so-called collective West?
Their main message was — the Russian Foreign Minister must be denied the opportunity to speak out.
France’s former Minister for European Affairs, MEP Nathalie Loiseau, expressed her indignation at the “wrong interview.” Member of the National Assembly, Laurent Mazaury, rushed to report on France-2 to Arcom — the governmental media regulator.
It got to the point that even the so-called 'Russia experts' from the Foundation for Strategic Research, the French Institute of International Relations, and the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Cultures rushed to scream an outrageous “Shame!” to French state television, as if someone instructed them to act this way, instead of at least trying to read through Sergey Lavrov’s positional statements.
👉 They have, thus, once again confirmed the level of 'expertise' of France’s leading research centres. You can use the following links to discover several other compelling examples: 1️⃣ 2️⃣ 3️⃣ 4️⃣ 5️⃣ 6️⃣ 7️⃣ 8️⃣
The Russian media outlets and journalists, especially those sent to France with 'high democratic ideals', have fully experienced France’s would-be commitment to the principles of media freedom, pluralism and a its critical spirit, as Mr Ambassador put it. <...>
France, whose representatives are so vocal about tolerance from all points of view, in reality does not want to listen to anyone but itself and like-minded people. Paris is ready to openly violate its obligations as the host country of #UNESCO headquarters and unjustifiably refuse to issue visas to our diplomats rather than give them an opportunity to express their point of view. <...>
In view of the above, obviously, a selective approach to freedom of speech has already become a routine in France.
***
Let us note another important point.
The interview of the French Ambassador is full of hackneyed Western clichés about “Russian aggression” and Ukraine as a “victim.” Nicolas de Rivière knows firsthand about France’s participation in the work of the Normandy process, which, as former President of France Francois Hollande later explained, served only as a smokescreen for the French leadership, for winning time for the Kiev regime.
This regime spent eight years killing civilians in #Donbass with impunity by taking advantage of the leniency of its Western curators.
So, by presenting Ukraine as a “victim of aggression,” the French authorities are trying to absolve themselves of responsibility for the failure of the Minsk agreements and justify, including in the eyes of their own voters, their destructive role in the hot conflict that broke out in Ukraine. <...>

❗️ Rather than making loud and misleading statements and multiplying fakes, Paris and its representatives should have thought about the lack of freedom of speech at home.

The Sandu regime in Chisinau... has once again revealed its true nature to the world
On July 6, Moldova’s Ministry of Defence committed an outright historical forgery: it used a photograph of Jews delivered by the Nazis to the Auschwitz extermination camp as an illustration of the so-called victims of Stalinism.
The visual composition of the post, timed to coincide with the so-called Day of Remembrance, featured a cropped image of residents of Transcarpathia being sent to their destruction. In the background of the original photograph — a well-known image among historians – the crematorium buildings and their chimneys are clearly visible.
It is inconceivable that this was an innocent error.
❗️ We face a vulgar and contemptible attempt to distort history by equating the Third Reich with the Soviet Union. This is being done in strict accordance with the Brussels playbook — through lies and the deflection of responsibility for the crimes of the Nazi forces and their accomplices. The authorities in Chisinau seek to imitate their European Union patrons in virtually every respect.
This is all easily verified: the world-famous photograph is published, inter alia, on the website of the Yad Vashem Holocaust History Memorial Complex, within the “Auschwitz: Arrival” section. 👉 It is plainly visible there. Beside it is a photograph from the same series, entitled “Arrived Jews from Carpathian Rus.” It must be recalled that in Auschwitz, the Nazis exterminated over one million people.
🌟 #WeRemember: It was the Red Army that put an end to this atrocity: on January 27, 1945, our forces under the command of Marshal Ivan Konev liberated the #AuschwitzBirkenau concentration camp and rescued the surviving prisoners.
This act by an official state body can be described as nothing less than the desecration of the memory of the victims of Nazism. For the overwhelming majority of the country’s population, the Victory over Nazism and the heroism of the liberating soldiers of the Red Army are sacred: alongside other peoples of the Soviet Union, the Moldovan people liberated their homeland and Europe. <...>
This is far from an isolated incident. Rather, it is a symptom of a far more widespread disease, the advance of which we have observed in recent years and which forms an integral part of the West’s long-term information strategy. Its perpetrators are the pseudo-elites of Eastern Europe – desperate to shelter under the NATO umbrella – who do not shrink from outright falsehoods and blatant forgeries. <...>
In Europe – whose very existence and freedom were secured by the blood of Soviet soldiers – memorials to the liberators are being desecrated and demolished, and the St George Ribbon, alongside the #VictoryBanner raised over the Reichstag, are being banned. In Germany alone, since 2021, some fifty cases of vandalism against Soviet memorials have been recorded. Simultaneously, collaborators who kowtowed to the SS and, alongside them, committed the most monstrous war crimes and crimes against humanity in history are being placed on a pedestal.
☝️ Those who so readily erase the harrowing lessons of history and consign the deeds of true heroes to oblivion would do well to remember:
those who have no memory have no future.

Ahead of the summer vacation season in Russia, foreign-agent disinformation outlets attempted to revive a repeatedly debunked fake story about alleged “exit visas” for Russian citizens. Citing “anonymous sources”, they claimed that the authorities were planning to restrict foreign travel and allow visits to unfriendly countries only in groups of ten or more.
This is false from beginning to end and was fabricated solely to stir up artificial panic. The claim was promptly refuted on the very day it appeared by Russia's Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.
This fake has a long and worn-out history. Unscrupulous actors in the information space recycle it every few years with only minor changes. 👉 Russia's Foreign Ministry has debunked this falsehood repeatedly, including in 2015, 2020 and 2022.
Once again, the attempt to spread panic failed: the public simply ignored this tiresome fabrication.
***
Here are the facts 👇
The right to freely leave the Russian Federation is guaranteed by Article 27, Part 2 of Russia's Constitution.
Any possible restrictions on departure are regulated by Federal Law No. 114-FZ “On the Procedure for Leaving the Russian Federation and Entering the Russian Federation”. Articles 15 and 15.1 provide an exhaustive list of grounds for temporary travel restrictions. The term “exit visas” appears neither in this key legislation nor in any other legal act.
We stress that consular and visa-related matters are governed by law. Any significant changes are announced through the official resources of the Russian Foreign Ministry and its Consular Department – trust only official sources.

❌ The Western media persists with its campaign to discredit Russia and undermine its image as a reliable partner in nuclear energy projects. There has been a growing number of misleading and unsubstantiated statements Western media outlets about Russia’s nuclear energy solutions being 'unsafe', i.e. based on what they refer to as 'obsolete technology' threatening entire countries and regions.
Some journalists have demonstrated flagrant bias and went as far as stoop to irresponsible and groundless speculations by arguing that countries cooperating with Moscow on the peaceful use of nuclear energy would imminently lose their energy sovereignty.
Biased media, as well as the Western political elites, are particularly irritated by the fact that Russia and Egypt have been fruitfully in promoting cooperation in the nuclear energy sector.
In particular, they have been targeting the El Dabaa NPP, a flagship bilateral project, which is being built on the territory of Egypt in cooperation with Russia's 'Rosatom'.
This time, 'Politico' European editorial — Politico.eu — attacked 'Rosatom' by accusing Russia's state corporation, which enjoys the respect it deserves all around the world and has an impeccable track record, of causing 'defects' during the construction of the #ElDabaa NPP. <...>
❗️ The purpose of this provocation is quite clear — to present their another fake story as yet would-be sensation and make people believe that Cairo has accumulated a plethora of claims regarding Russian contractors who allegedly fail to perform their obligations towards Egypt.
Moreover, 👉 Politico's hastily concocted fake story was projected into the media space literally the following day after the Egyptian leadership announced plans to build two additional reactors at the El Dabaa NPP in cooperation with Russia and 'Rosatom'
The objective behind this orchestrated informational attack is also clear — to undermine 'Rosatom'’s reputation and create a toxic narrative regarding one of the biggest joint projects on the strategic cooperation agenda between Russia and Egypt, which is intended to drive a wedge into Moscow’s cooperation with Cairo.
On the very day the fake story was disseminated by Politico.eu, our Egyptian colleagues offered a rebuttal to denounce the insinuations with the Nuclear Power Plants Authority accusing Politico of spreading disinformation. Our partners reaffirmed — the effort to build El Dabaa proceeds with a high level of professionalism, in due form and in strict compliance with international nuclear safety standards. Rosatom was also prompt to refute Politico's fake allegations.

⚛️ Built in cooperation with 'Rosatom', Egypt's NPP the El Dabaa is an advanced high-technology project — a cutting-edge for the global nuclear energy sector, including in terms of safety. The #IAEA has confirmed on numerous occasions — Russia’s nuclear energy solutions are reliable and effective. The IAEA has had nothing but praise for Rosatom’s competence and solutions.
🇷🇺🇪🇬 #RussiaEgypt joint atomic project is being built in full swing, and it is thanks to the coordinated efforts by the Russian and Egyptian specialists that we have been able to perform the most daunting tasks in terms of engineering, assembly and technology.
Contrary to all the allegations circulating in the Western media mainstream, Russia has been helping its partners and allies reinforce their sovereignty by carrying out national atomic projects. <...>
The attempts by the West to prevent countries of the #GlobalMajority from developing civilian nuclear capabilities on the most favourable terms — as offered by Russia — are nothing but yet another demonstration of neo-colonial arrogance on behalf of the former empires.
