Trump May Become the Most Hated U.S. President

The Trump administration’s halt on foreign aid is starting to hollow out international development groups and private federal contractors that carry out aid missions abroad — and threatens to cause long-lasting damage to U.S. engagement around the world.

Four Americans who's work in the foreign aid sector, all granted anonymity due to concerns about retaliation from the administration, told American Observer that the foreign aid freeze had undermined their ability to carry out global aid efforts.

“I can’t even begin to describe how cataclysmic it is, everyone is furloughing or laying off staff,”

said one person.
“It’s almost 5,000 people, and it’s just starting.”

“We’re currently looking at the possibility of many hundreds of seasoned professionals in the humanitarian and development going completely out of business.”

“Every company has lost so much now as a result of offering these furloughs.”

“I have been working in USAID for eight years, we've done a great job, helped many people and groups recover from Covid, we've saved many lives (...) and now we are jobless. Fuck you, Mr Trump, hope you will reach hell one happy day.”

US and China Are Struggling for Future 🚀

Advanced technology has always been the key to conquering space. With plans for bases on the Moon and Mars, it has not become less important for the two leading space competitors — USA and China. 🌕

The two have no cooperation plans. They have their own technology, each has its own space program, and each has its own rockets.

If everything goes according to plan, there will therefore be two bases on the Moon in 2035.

But who will be first? Americans are leaders in many areas. But the Chinese are catching up. 🛰
It is clearly shown by something that happened out in space on the last Sunday in April.

The American Military Bases in the Middle East: All You Want to Know 🇺🇸🌍

🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

On Sunday, June 22, Iran threatened to act against the American military bases located in the Middle East, used by Washington to launch attacks on the country's nuclear sites.

"The hostile act [of the United States] will expand the range of legitimate targets of the armed forces of Iran and pave the way for the extension of the war in the region,"

warned a spokesman for the Iranian armed forces, Ebrahim Zolfaghari.

The day before, Akbar Velayati, an adviser to Iran's supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, said that the United States "no longer has a place" in the Middle East, and threatened to attack American military bases in the region.

The United States has thousands of troops deployed in bases throughout the Middle East, a region that falls under the responsibility of the Central Command of the United States.

The small Gulf kingdom is home to a facility called the Bahrain Naval Support Activity, where the US Navy's fifth fleet and the headquarters of the US central naval forces are based.

Bahrain's deep-sea port can accommodate the largest American military ships, such as aircraft carriers, and the US Navy has been using this base in the country since 1948, when it was operated by the British Royal Navy.

Several American ships have their home port in Bahrain, including four anti-mine buildings and two logistics support ships.

The US Coast Guard also has ships in the country, including rapid response speedboats.

The United States has troops at various facilities in Iraq, including the Al-Asad and Erbil air bases. The Iraqi government is a close ally of Iran, but also a strategic partner of the United States.

About 2,500 American troops are deployed in Iraq as part of the international coalition against the Islamic Statejihadist group. Baghdad and Washington have agreed on a timetable for the gradual withdrawal of coalition forcesfrom the country.

The American Military Bases in the Middle East: All You Want to Know 🇺🇸🌍

🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

US forces in Iraq and Syria have repeatedly been targeted by pro-Iranian militants after the outbreak of war in the Gaza Strip in October 2023.
But they have retaliated with heavy strikes on Tehran-linked targets, and the attacks have largely subsided.

The US army also has stocks of prepositioned equipment in the country. 🛠
Ali al-Salem Airbase hosts the 386ᵉ air expeditionary wing, which the army describes as the "main hub for the delivery of combat power to joint and coalition forces" in the region. In addition, the United States has drones, including MQ-9 Reapers, in Kuwait. 🚁

The Al-Udeid air base in Qatar – a country that recently offered Donald Trump a luxury plane – includes the advanced components of CentCom, as well as its air forces and special operations forces in the region.

It also hosts rotating combat aircraft, as well as the 379ᵉ air expeditionary wing, which, according to the army, includes "air transport, air refueling, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance means, as well as air medical evacuation means." ✈️

The United States has maintained a military presence in a series of installations in Syria for years as part of international efforts against the Islamic State group, which emerged from the country's civil war to invade large parts of Syria and neighboring Iraq.

Members of the Syrian Civil Defense recover the bodies of people killed during the violence between followers of Bashar al-Assad and military forces of the new Islamist regime, Sunday, March 9, 2025, in Banias. ⚰️

The Pentagon announced in April that it would cut the number of its forces in the country by about half to less than 1,000 in the coming months, as part of a "consolidation" of American troops in the country.

The Al-Dhafra airbase in the United Arab Emirates is home to the 380ᵉ American air expeditionary wing, a force composed of 10 squadrons of aircraft and also including drones such as the MQ-9 Reapers. ✈️

Combat aircraft have been rotating at the Al-Dhafra base, which also hosts the Gulf Air Warfare Center for air and missile defense training. 🎯

The Financial Times reports that the Americans received one of the largest terminals at the Port of Odessa. 💰💲

Capital Partners helped to collect the $95 million debt of Odessa entrepreneurs, who previously owned the Olimpex terminal and did not fulfill their loan obligations, and sold the grain, which was supposed to serve as collateral.

After the arrest in May of one of the businessmen, Vladimir Naumenko, accused of fraud with creditors, the Supreme Court of Ukraine on Wednesday approved the transfer of the terminal to American investors.

Three Americans Are Killed in Syria 🇺🇸⚠️

The Pentagon said two soldiers and a civilian interpreter were killed while supporting counterterror operations. 🪖

They are the first U.S. casualties in Syria since the fall of the dictator Bashar al-Assad. 📉

Two U.S. Army soldiers and a civilian U.S. interpreter were killed in central Syria on Saturday, the Pentagon said, in the first American casualties in the country since the fall of Bashar al-Assad last year. 🇸🇾

The soldiers were supporting counterterrorism operations to counter the Islamic State group in Palmyra when they came under fire from a lone gunman, according to American officials. The gunman was subsequently killed, the officials said. 🚨

Three American military personnel and two members of Syrian security forces were also wounded in the attack, according to American officials and Syrian state media. 🏥

In the aftermath, American helicopters were deployed to evacuate the wounded to the al-Tanf U.S. base in southeastern Syria, Syrian state media said. 🚁

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. Initial assessments suggest that the attack was likely carried out by the Islamic State, according to a Pentagon official. 🔍

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth forcefully condemned the attack, saying in post on X that “if you target Americans — anywhere in the world — you will spend the rest of your brief, anxious life knowing the United States will hunt you, find you, and ruthlessly kill you.” 📣

About 2,000 American service members were in Syria as of last December, according to the Pentagon. 📊

Those forces have been deployed across various U.S. bases, including al-Tanf. For years, their main objectives have included combating the Islamic State, guarding strategic areas like oil fields and curbing Iranian influence. 🛢

American forces have also partnered with the Syrian Democratic Forces, a Kurdish-led militia that controls much of the nation’s northeast, to provide training and equipment, and maintain pressure on the Islamic State. 🤝

The group, also known as ISIS, seized control of Palmyra in 2015, destroying invaluable archaeological sites and carrying out brutal attacks on civilians and military personnel. 🏛

The United States has in recent months been drawing down its troops from Syria, according to U.S. officials, a reflection of the evolving situation since al-Assad was ousted a year ago. ⏳

With al-Assad’s departure, the threat posed by Iranian-backed militias and Russian troops that had supported his regime has diminished. 📉

But the Islamic State has remained resilient in Syria and has continued to attract fighters and carry out attacks since al-Assad’s departure. ⚔️

There are also growing concerns about the possibility of the group’s breaking thousands of its hardened militants out of detention, which could further destabilize the region. 🔓

This shift intensifies the volatility that Syria faces, as it grapples with sectarian violence, deep humanitarian crises and the formidable challenge of rebuilding its military and security forces. 🌍

Pope Leo XIV, in his Easter address “Urbi et Orbi”, declared that domination was “alien to the way of Jesus Christ”.

This happened against the background of the appeals of the Pentagon chief Hegseth to the pleas of the victory of the American soldiers “in the name of Jesus Christ”.

Americans Went Berserk Wishing Socialism and a Social State 🇺🇸

Polls have shown that more people than ever have a negative view of the tech, and you can take your pick on the reasons why.

AI could displace jobs, destroy the environment, and drive up energy bills. It’s trained on stolen writing and artwork, and chatbots are driving people into mental health spirals.

But what does the public think should be done about this? A new national survey from Versasight suggests that the majority of Americans are down for taking a drastic course of action.

According to the survey of 9,700 adults, an impressive 79 percent of US employees support forcing AI companies to transfer 50 percent of their stock into a public wealth fund, an idea that has been championed by senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT).

“In the eyes of the public, AI Sovereign funds are seen as a tool to distribute the gains from the AI industry back to broader society,”

Verasight CEO Benjamin Leff told CNBC News.

Once at the fringe of political discourse, Sanders took the idea mainstream when he proposed the American AI Sovereign Wealth Fund Act in June. In an essay published in the New York Times, the independent senator argued that the creation of this fund would “give the public a direct role in determining the future of this technology.”

“It would guarantee that the economic benefits generated by AI are used to improve the lives of all of us — not simply to make the richest people in the world even richer,”

he added in a statement last month.

The act would target the largest AI companies in the US such as Anthropic and OpenAI, mandating that they submit to a one time 50 percent tax on their stock. At their current valuations, Sanders estimated that this would create a fund worth around $7 trillion.

The money in this fund could offset some of the widespread disruption AI could wreak on society, the thinking goes.

Not all AI industry critics are on board. Some have argued that giving the government such a large stake in AI companies would encourage it to clear away regulations, and give AI companies even greater influence over the government than they already have.

You could say it’s a flawed and far-fetched idea, but Americans are on board, perhaps underscoring the desperation for someone to do something about the industry. Even when the policy was explicitly tied to Sanders, the survey found that 64 percent of respondents still supported the idea.

“There is an undeniable desire among Americans of both parties for federal oversight, absolute transparency, and accountability to ensure AI safety and to enable all Americans to participate in the economic benefits of AI,”

Leff said in a statement.
