For bpsc prelims
1. Need to work on PYQs. Some questions repeat verbatim. You dont want to lose those.
2. Trends show that questions are slowly moving from one liners to more analytical multi statement based questions. So try to practise for mainly analytical questions. However donot skip one liners since you never know when the commission can change its ways. Its better to be safe than sorry.
3. Focus on science and tech and current affairs specifically. These are what creates a difference in the prelims scores.
4. Basic upsc booklist works for bpsc as well but you need to read those selectively. When you analyse the PYQs, you will know what to read and what to skip. Trust that and plan accordingly.
5. For current affairs pick one magazine and be thorough with it. Reading newspaper becomes tiresome for many so yearly compilations are a good trade off.
I used to read Eye drishti. But it doesnt have bihar specific news so you might want to find a different one for bihar special if you follow eye drishti.
Otherwise speedy, eduteria etc work well too.
6. You might want to join a test series so as to better manage your time as well as prepare the exam time strategy for the same. Try to simulate exam like situtaions and fill the omr too. Some people arent able to complete the whole paper on time.
7. Every year there are some random questions (eg batak mian) and you should be able to identify and skip those in the exam. For that its important for you to be thorough with your basic books.
8. The basic books -
History- Spectrum selectively for modern, lucents works for ancient and medieval. You can read ncerts too.
Science- Lucents is more than enough. You can also read ghatnachakra if you have time.
Math- Pyq practise is sufficient
Geography- Ncerts are more than enough
Polity- Laxmikanth selectively
Economy- General theories are rarely asked. So just doing budget and eco survey can suffice.
All the best
