#Update Central agencies are probing US national Jordan Brown, 36, arrested on July 11 near the India-Nepal border in Maharajganj, UP, for entering without documents and carrying a Chinese passport. Investigators are checking if he has links to a separate NIA case where a US national and six Ukrainians were accused of training Myanmar’s Kuki-Chin Army, and are examining Brown’s travel history through Thailand, Sri Lanka, Goa and Mizoram. Police recovered ₹31,460, phones, and other items from him, and the US embassy has been informed.

#Update Maruti Suzuki India will challenge the Raipur District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission’s order to replace a customer’s E20-incompatible Grand Vitara with a new E20-compatible model. The Commission ruled the dealer sold a vehicle in 2023 that developed repeated engine faults with E20 petrol, and directed Maruti/dealer to provide a replacement within 45 days or refund ₹20.5 lakh. Maruti says the car was E20-compliant as per the manual and that fuel contamination evidence was ignored. #automobile
