FC Bayern Basketball’s Zlatan doppelganger: Nihad Đedović
Media Nihad Đedović looks exactly like Zlatan Ibrahimovic... Nihad Đedović is a basketball player for Bayern Munich. Nihad Đedović also looks exactly like Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The 6-foot-6 native of Višegrad, Bosnia and Herzegovina is drawing a lot of attention for his resemblance to the Swedish legend these days. The Mirror sat down with the basketball player to talk over what life is like when you look so much like an international, soccer superstar. Bayern Munich basketball player Nihad Djedovic has revealed he is constantly likened to former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic because of their uncanny physical similarity. 'I am NOT Zlatan!': Ibra's double plays pro basketball Spare a thought for basketball player Nihad Djedovic, who can't go a day without being reminded of his resemblance to a certain Swedish striker. https://t.co/aNndam36Zk via @bdnews24 #football— #Bangladesh News 24 (#BreakingNews 24) (@bdnews24) November 28, 2018Djedovic, who is 28 and signed with Bayern in 2013, has been named a Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) all-star three times. He also tried to rationalize the striking resemblance: He has a Balkanic, or ex-Yugoslavian genes, so I think people see something in me that they saw in him. Since I’m growing my hair now, every day somebody tags me on Instagram or Twitter or something, every day. This summer I was in Paris for three days and, I cannot say every person, but every second person in the street stopped me to make photos with me. It’s incredible.Ibrahimović, who spent last season with the LA Galaxy, in Major League Soccer, is rumored to be talking with a number of European teams, including AC Milan. This is madness.I am NOT @Ibra_official...

Lucas Hernandez expected to return to full-team training next week for Bayern Munich
FC Bayern Muenchen Training Session Photo by TF-Images/Getty ImagesThe French defender has been working his way back from injury and has been making excellent progress.Bayern Munich defender Lucas Hernandez has been working exceptionally hard to get back to full fitness. The Frenchman suffered an injury to his MCL last season for which he required surgery. Hernandez has been working with club physios and training staff on his rehabilitation all summer and has reportedly been progressing ahead of schedule.Per a report by kicker, the 23-year old is expected to resume full-team training next week when Bayern head to their training camp in Tegernsee after the DFL Supercup this weekend. Earlier this week, he completed individual training sessions that included some running drills, some ball work, shots on goal, and sprinting at full pace. It’s a reassuring sign that his knee has not shown any negative reactions to the progressive load and the steps up in training intensity. For Bayern, Hernandez could be in contention to be in the squad for the Bundesliga opener on August 16th against Hertha Berlin at the Allianz Arena if his progression carries on successfully and there aren’t any complications that arise.Keep working!!!! #Football ⚽️ pic.twitter.com/kD6ptMxrAF— Lucas Hernández (@LucasHernandez) July 31, 2019Bonus: Audacious fan tries to watch Hernandez’s sessionPer a report by Bild, a cheeky Bayern fan tried to get a front row seat to Hernandez’s individual training session at Säbener Straße earlier this week. The unsuspecting fan apparently took up a position just behind some of the bush fences on the outer perimeter of the training ground and watched Hernandez complete some of his running drills with the ball. For whatever reason, it took security at Säbener Straße a good 20 minutes to notice the lone fan watching on and proceed to remove him from the grounds. This comes just one day after a fan also reportedly “clung” to Niko Kovac before he was eventually discharged by the police outside of Säbener Straße. It’s all been happening at Bayern’s training ground lately, so hopefully the security there are ramping up their efforts to keep the players and staff safe.Read more...

Sky Sports went a step further than Friday’s news and is speculating that a move in 2021 might be just what Zirkzee needs:At another Bundesliga club or abroad, Zirkzee could stabilize his performance and thus gain valuable experience for his future with FC Bayern. After all, his contract there runs until 2023 - enough time to take off on a new high.Hopefully, this is a wake-up call for Zirkzee. For his part, Zirkzee is at least talking like he’s ready to compete (per a recent interview with Algemeen Dagblad via Sport Bild), but definitely left the window open for a move.“Who says I won’t get any game minutes? It’s up to me to tackle the competition,” said Zirkzee. “If that’s the case, I can always stay. If not, we still have the winter break.”Zirkzee’s performance on Saturday against FC Köln was better, but still lacking.
