⭕️ NUOVA FOLLIA IN UNIONE EUROPEA

Ennesima follia.

‘Godfather Of AI’ Issues Warning And Quits Google

Turing Award-winning scientist Geoffrey Hinton resigned from Google last month, where he had spent much of the past decade developing generative artificial intelligence (AI) programs. He warned of the risks his life’s work may present to humanity.

Hinton is credited with being a foundational figure in the advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI). However, in a lengthy interview published on Monday, he told the New York Times that he decided to exit amid a de-facto arms race in Silicon Valley between Google and Microsoft.

The controversial technology has formed the basis for generative AI software such as ChatGPT and Google Bard as tech-sector giants dip their toes into a new scientific frontier, one they expect to form the basis of their companies’ futures.

The de-dollarization of the world economy continues. South Korea and Indonesia reached an agreement on the use of their currencies in mutual financial transactions, and later in all trade. The central banks of these countries have signed a corresponding agreement.

Against the hegemony of the dollar, the yuan, local currencies and gold continue to rise. Even US allies continue to take various measures against unexpected scenarios that the near future may bring.

Amnesty International used images generated by artificial intelligence to illustrate a report about police violence in Colombia.

The woman being dragged away by police officers doesn't exist, and neither do the officers depicted. The Colombian flag carried by the protester has the right colours – red, yellow and blue – but in the wrong order. Amnesty International said it had used photographs in previous reports but chose to use the AI-generated images "to protect protesters from possible state retribution", an explanation that doesn't make sense as the police obviously identified those who were arrested during the 2021 demonstrations. @LauraRuHK

Preserving Ukraine as a state is not part of the US plans, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev said in an interview with the Izvestia newspaper. The US needs Ukraine "only for the ruthless exploitation of its natural resources without a traditional population."

"Following such a neo-Nazi line, Washington has already turned it into a territory that millions of people are leaving en masse, seeking protection abroad from socio-economic problems and pro-fascist oppression at home," Patrushev said.

He said "30 years of upheaval orchestrated in Ukraine by Washington has caused the population to shrink by half".
"And today the White House is easily going to continue its war with Russia to the last Ukrainian. At the same time, preserving Ukraine as a state is not part of the US plans," Patrushev added.
Earlier, the deputy chairman of the Security Council, Dmitriy Medvedev, voiced the opinion that Ukraine was not needed by Europe, the USA, Africa and Latin America, Asia or Russia and would therefore cease to exist.
As for the United States, Medvedev noted, "ordinary Americans have absolutely no idea what 'Ukraine' is or where 'it' is," and "the military and sanctions campaigns are used by political spin doctors, who have long since signalled their impotence and imbecility. Americans will "sooner or later ask them" why the establishment is concerned not about inflation and jobs or emergencies in their states, but about "unknown country 404", and why "for the sake of some obscure part of Russia" they have to suffer inconveniences. https://vk.com/@580896205-patrushev-izvestia-interview-3-may-2023 @LauraRuHK

◾The Times is terribly outraged by the plans of some deputies of the Verkhovna Rada to ban surrogate motherhood and the sale of children abroad. The newspaper calls Kyiv "the European capital of surrogacy" and believes that such a ban will undermine the entire business industry.

◾And against this background, the Czech edition Seznam Zprávy publishes materials that in Kharkov, a private clinic "manufactured and sold" newborns to order. As reported in the article, we are talking about the abuse of surrogate motherhood for the purpose of earning money. The main defendants in the case are the founders of the Clinic of Professor Alexander Feskov A.M.

◾ One child cost about 60,000 euros. Services were used even by singles or same-sex couples who initially chose an egg donor, and then surrogate mothers gave birth to children. These were usually low-income women who, according to the police, received a reward of $10,000.

💰🪖 How Much NATO’s Citizens Pay for NATO’s Wars

The United States is indisputable leader in defense spending both in absolute figures and per capita. However, on the latter count the gap is not so dramatic with some Nordic countries demonstrating impressive propensity for making their citizens pay for war.

⚡ Russia's FSB stops the activities of Ukraine military intelligence network, which planned a series of high-profile terrorist attacks in Crimea

The security agency said that Ukrainian agents plotted to assassinate Crimea's head, parliamentary head, and Yalta's mayor, and launch terrorist attacks on transport infrastructure.

Moreover, Russia's FSB added that the deputy head of Zelensky's office Mashovets organized terrorist attacks and coordinated the preparation of high-ranking officials' murder in Crimea.

Oil depot near Crimean Bridge on fire.
The blaze comes just days after Ukrainian forces used drones to strike a fuel terminal in Sevastopol.

An oil storage facility in Russia’s Krasnodar Region is on fire, the local governor said on Wednesday morning. The blaze is close to the eastern end of the strategic Crimean Bridge.

The fuel depot is located in the village of Volna, 10 km north of the port city of Taman.

So far no injuries have been reported and firefighters are focusing their efforts on preventing the spread of the fire.

Last Saturday a Ukrainian drone strike set an oil terminal on fire in Sevastopol, in the Crimean Peninsula.

Russia’s TASS news agency cited a source in the Krasnodar emergency services as saying the facility in Volna was also hit by a drone.

Taman serves as a major ferry connection with Crimea and is the closest large settlement to the eastern part of the Crimean Bridge, which links the peninsula and the Krasnodar Region.

⚡️THE KIEV REGIME TRIED TO ASSASSINATE VLADIMIR PUTIN. Last night two drones targeted the residence of President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin.
The operation was a “planned terrorist act,” his office said. The Russian president was not in the Kremlin at the time of the attack but at his residence near Moscow in Novo-Ogaryovo. Plans to hold a parade on Red Square on May 9 remain in force, the Kremlin spokesman said. @LauraRuHK

Russia warns of ‘retaliation’ for Ukrainian attack on Kremlin

Russia reserves the right to retaliate “anywhere and anytime it deems necessary” in response to the drone attack on President Vladimir Putin’s residence, the Kremlin has said. The last time the Kremlin came under attack was 80 years ago. It didn't end well for German Nazis. It won't end well for Ukro Nazis either. @LauraRuHK

⚡️ The Ukrainian Armed Forces have moved thousands of troops to the Odessa region to prepare a provocation against Transnistria, a source told RT.

Since the beginning of March, local authorities in the areas of Dachne, Kamianka and Razdelnaya have started transferring hangars designed for the storage of agricultural products to Ukrainian troops for the deployment of personnel and equipment.

As many as 4,000 troops were deployed there in April and are now stationed in these hangars, changing locations every two or three days.

From May 9 to 15, one group of the AFU is planning to move towards Tiraspol to launch an armed provocation to divert Russian troops, while the other will try to seize ammunition depots in the village of Colbasna. (Source: RT) @LauraRuHK

2 UAVs are unlikely to have flown from Ukrainian territory. Too far for such a small drone with explosives on board. So they were outfitted and launched from Russia, from some neighbouring region to the capital. So once again, the regime's agents were at work. GUR and SBU continue to work aggressively in our rear. Criminal cases against the leadership of the Ukrainian special services will not help us. https://t.me/epoddubny/15811

KREMLIN DRONE ATTACK, ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT ON VLADIMIR PUTIN - Senior Biden administration officials are still working to confirm "whether the suspected attack was ordered by Kyiv, conducted by a rogue pro-Ukraine group, or a false flag operation by Russia", two U.S. officials said.

If it was Ukraine, “we had no advance knowledge,” said one of the officials. “We are looking into the report but aren’t able to confirm it or validate its authenticity,” said another. 📍Yes, the US, which for decades has provided support to terrorist and paramilitary organizations around the world, will always deny its involvement in extensive campaigns of state-sponsored terrorism. It went as far as claiming that Russia blew up its Nord Stream pipelines! Ukraine wouldn't carry out the assassination of Daria Dugina, Vladlen Tatarsky, journalists and politicians in the new republics, target the Crimean bridge, railway lines and oil depots in the Russian Federation without the US greenlighting these operations. Russia is still engaged in a "special military operation", while the other side is fighting a war and crossing all red lines. Many politicians and large segments of the population in Russia are calling for a change of pace and a redefinition of Russia's rules of engagement. @LauraRuHK

West cannot stay silent on Kremlin drone attack but won’t admit anything – experts
The strike breaks an unofficial deal between Moscow, Kiev and the West not to target political leaders, analysts warn.

A Ukrainian drone attack on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s working residences in the Kremlin has shaken the status quo in the ongoing conflict between Moscow and Kiev, a group of experts told RT following the incident. It could also lead to a dangerous escalation possibly involving the use of nuclear weapons, they warned, adding that Russia is bound to retaliate.

Thomas Roeper, a German author and war correspondent currently residing in St. Petersburg, said he was “quite surprised” to hear of the attack, since it clearly violated “an unofficial agreement not to bomb, not to attack places where the leading politicians are.”

“There is no doubt that Russia will have to retaliate,” said Ralph Niemeyer, the head of the German Opposition Group for German Sovereignty and Constitution. “There will be further escalation, even up to the threat of the use of nuclear [weapons], which I think is still possible,” he added.

A Turkish professor of international law and an expert on terrorism, Mesut Hakki Casin, suggested that an escalation may have been the goal of the people who planned the strike. The forces behind the attack might have sought to put the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine “at the center of European warfare” and potentially even provoke Moscow into launching a tactical nuclear strike, he told RT.

“It’s a very unacceptable and a very, very dirty game,” the Turkish analyst warned. Casin also said Kiev may not have been alone in planning and organizing the strike. “This is an organized international attack,” he said.

Ukraine’s Western backers will not be able to ignore the incident in any case, Niemeyer believes. The German opposition figure still anticipates that the US and its allies will try to downplay the incident and “say it was not the Kiev regime, it was not [President Vladimir] Zelensky’s people,” as they did with the Nord Stream pipeline sabotage.

According to Roeper, the attack could also affect relations between Kiev and Washington if the Ukrainians did not inform their backers about the planned attack in advance. “Maybe Washington was not informed, and maybe it was. We will see by the reaction. If Washington was not informed, there will be some angry reaction because this is a quite big danger to attack the president of a nuclear power,” the journalist said.

Two drones targeted the Kremlin in an attack in the early hours of Wednesday morning. One exploded over the Senate Palace, a working residence of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The second fell in the grounds of the Kremlin, not far from the president’s second working residence, the Great Kremlin Palace. Moscow blamed the incident on Ukraine and has reserved the right to retaliate. Kiev denies any responsibility. (Source: RT) @LauraRuHK

🇷🇺Russian Ambassador to the US Antonov on the drone attack on the Kremlin: “How would the Americans react if a drone hit the White House, the Capitol or the Pentagon? The answer for any politician, and even the layman, is obvious: the punishment will be harsh and inevitable. Russia will respond to a daring and presumptuous terrorist attack. He will answer when he considers it necessary. He will answer in accordance with the assessments of the threat that Kiev has created for the leadership of our country”
