▪️How beautifully Imam Khomeini once said:

“Those who imagine that struggle for the sake of the oppressed and deprived of the world is compatible with capitalism and luxury have not even learned the alphabet of struggle. Only those will stand with us to the end who have truly tasted the pain of poverty, deprivation, and oppression.” [1]

And as the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, has emphasized:

“A person who lives a life of aristocracy cannot [be part of this struggle].” [2]

In the Statement on the Second Phase of the Revolution — the stage of transition toward the era of the Reappearance (Ẓuhūr) — the Leader identifies economic purity as a fundamental condition for the legitimacy of any official. [3]
