أَمْ يَحْسُدُونَ النَّاسَ عَلى ما آتاهُمُ اللهُ‌ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ فَقَدْ آتَيْنا آلَ إِبْراهيمَ الْكِتابَ وَ الْحِكْمَةَ وَ آتَيْناهُمْ مُلْكاً عَظيماً
“Or do they envy the people for what Allah has given them of His bounty? But We had already given the family of Abraham the Scripture and wisdom and conferred upon them a great kingdom.” (Qur’an 4:54)

🌟 Wilayah Perspective

🔹 According to the Ahl al-Bayt’s teachings, an-Nas here refers specifically to them — the true bearers of the Book, wisdom, and the rightful divine governance.
🔹 This verse unveils a deep historical reality: the envy of Quraysh, the Umayyads, the Abbasids, and every deviating faction all stems from jealousy over this God-given Wilayah.
🔹 The divine bounty (fadhl) is Prophethood and Imamate — a trust given to Muhammad (s.a.w.) and his pure Household, which many opponents could never accept.

✨ Mahdavi Perspective

🔸 This envy of divine favor and Wilayah still lives on — the false powers of every age dread the fulfillment of this mulk ‘azim (great kingdom).
🔸 In the End Times, through the Reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi (a.j.), this divine favor and great dominion will be fully realized, and the envious will be defeated.
🔸 He is the inheritor of the Book, wisdom, and the mighty dominion — the legacy of Abraham, Muhammad, ‘Ali, and all the Imams.
🔸 Under his just rule, the ancient roots of envy and oppression will be forever uprooted.
