Explanation of Juz 28 of the Holy Qur'an from a Mahdavi Perspective
In this article, some verses from Juz 28 of the Holy Qur'an are examined from a Mahdavi perspective.
Part 1
1. Verse 12 - Surah Al-Mujadila
Ayah:
"O you who have believed, when you confer privately with the Messenger, spend before your private consultation. That is better for you and purer. But if you find not [the means], then indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful." (58:12)
Hadith:
Imam Ali (A.S) - When the verse "O you who have believed, when you confer privately with the Messenger..." was revealed, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) called me and asked, "What do you think about a dinar for each meeting?" I replied, "They cannot afford it." He then asked, "How much?" I replied, "The grains of barley!" He said, "That is too little." Then the verse: "Do you fear to give charity before your private consultation?" was revealed. Allah removed this burden from the Ummah because of me, and this verse was revealed neither before nor after me. (Bihar al-Anwar, Vol. 35, p. 378)
Mahdavi Perspective:
This verse emphasizes charity before private conversations, highlighting the purity of intention. Imam Ali (A.S) exemplifies the spirit of giving, aligning with the Mahdavi perspective of selflessness and purity that will prevail when the Mahdi (A.S) reappears.

2. Verse 18 - Surah Al-Mujadila
Ayah:
"On the Day when Allah will resurrect them all, and they will swear to Him as they swear to you, and they will think they are on something. But indeed, they are liars." (58:18)
Hadith:
Imam Sadiq (A.S) - These individuals will be in front of Allah, swearing that they did not commit shirk. However, they are the ones who have denied the rightful claim of Imam Ali (A.S) and wronged the truth. On the Day of Judgment, their limbs will testify against them, and their tongues will be sealed. (Bihar al-Anwar, Vol. 7, p. 312)
Mahdavi Perspective:
The Mahdi (A.S) will be the one who uncovers the truth and brings justice to those who have been deceitful. Their false oaths and claims of righteousness will be revealed.
#SwearingLies #DayOfJudgment #Testimony #MahdaviJustice
3. Verse 10 - Surah Al-Hashr
Ayah:
"And those who came after them say, 'Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith, and do not place in our hearts any resentment toward those who have believed. Our Lord, indeed You are Kind and Merciful.'" (59:10)
Hadith:
Imam Hasan (A.S) - The verse mentions that Muslims after the Prophet (PBUH) will pray for Imam Ali (A.S), who was the first to believe. He was the one who became closest to the Prophet (PBUH) and led the community. This prayer of forgiveness acknowledges the special position of Imam Ali (A.S) as the first Muslim and his significant role in Islam. (Bihar al-Anwar, Vol. 69, p. 153)
Mahdavi Perspective:
The prayer for forgiveness and unity mirrors the anticipation of the Mahdi's (A.S) return, where all will be united under his just leadership, free from any resentment.
#Unity #Forgiveness #ImamAli #MahdaviReturn
4. Verse 18 - Surah Al-Hashr
Ayah:
"O you who have believed, fear Allah, and let every soul look to what it has sent forth for tomorrow, and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is All-Aware of what you do." (59:18)
Hadith:
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) - "O people! Consider Ali as superior, for after me, no one is greater than him. Anyone who opposes him will be cursed." (Bihar al-Anwar, Vol. 37, p. 208)
Mahdavi Perspective:
The call to reflect on one's actions aligns with the Mahdavi vision, where the return of the Mahdi (A.S) will bring forth accountability and a righteous community led by the true guide.

5. Verse 20 - Surah Al-Hashr
Ayah:
"Never equal are the companions of the Fire and the companions of Paradise. The companions of Paradise - they are the successful." (59:20)

๐น The Mulk in this verse, according to the Ahl al-Baytโs exegesis, is none other than divine Imamate โ the true guardianship and leadership.
๐น The Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.) are the rightful heirs of this divine dominion.

โ๏ธ Narrations on Wilayah
1๏ธโฃ Imam al-Baqir (a.s.) ๐ฌ โThe โtrustโ (amanah) here means the station of Imamate which the preceding Imam must hand over to his successor: the knowledge, the books, and the Prophetโs (s) weapon.โ ๐ Al-Kafi, vol. 1, p. 276 | Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 23, p. 289
2๏ธโฃ Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) ๐ฌ โAn Imam is known by three signs: he is the closest to the previous Imam, he holds the Prophetโs (s) weapon, and the testament (wasiyyah) is with him. This is the trust that must reach its rightful owner.โ ๐ Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 23, p. 277
3๏ธโฃ Imam al-Ridha (a.s.) ๐ฌ โThe trust is the Imams of the Family of Muhammad (s). An Imam entrusts it only to his divinely appointed successor.โ ๐ Al-Kafi, vol. 1, p. 276
4๏ธโฃ Imam al-Kazim (a.s.) ๐ฌ โThis verse directly concerns us: each Imam must deliver the command of Imamate to the Imam after him.โ ๐ Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 23, p. 278
5๏ธโฃ Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) ๐ฌ โBy Allah! What is meant here is the trust of Imamate and Wilayah.โ ๐ Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 23, p. 276
6๏ธโฃ Imam al-Baqir (a.s.) ๐ฌ โTrue justice in judgment is fulfilled when the command of Wilayah appears in our hands and the governance of the Mahdi (a.j.) is established.โ ๐ Bashara al-Mustafa, p. 193
๐ Wilayah Perspective
๐น According to the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.), the trust (amanah) is not merely material wealth or mundane responsibility, but rather the supreme trust of Imamate, passed divinely from one Imam to the next โ like the Ark of the Covenant among the Israelites. ๐น Genuine justice in rulership and judgment finds perfection only when the Infallible Imam leads the Ummah.
โจ Mahdavi Perspective
๐ธ This verse is a clear pointer to the reappearance of Imam al-Mahdi (a.j.):
โซ๏ธ โIndeed, Allah commands youโฆโ will find its perfect fulfillment in the End Time.
โซ๏ธ The trust of Wilayah, handed down from the Prophet (s) through the Imams (a.s.), will finally be made manifest in the hands of the Awaited Mahdi (a.j.).
โซ๏ธ Absolute justice โ โto judge with justiceโ โ will only take shape under the global government of the Mahdi (a.j.), ending the long usurpation of this sacred trust.
โ Wilayah and Mahdavi Conclusion
โ๏ธ The greatest trust โ the Imamate โ must be transferred in the divine lineage as decreed.
โ๏ธ Complete justice will be established only with the rise of the true Bearer of the Trust: Imam Mahdi (a.j.).
โ๏ธ This verse is the bridge linking divine trust and the global governance of justice in the era of reappearance.
