6. Verse 6 of Surah An-Naba’ Verse: أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ مِهَادًا Translation: Have We not made the earth a cradle [of rest]? Brief Tafsir (Commentary): This verse highlights God's power in creating the earth as a stable and comfortable foundation for…
7. Verse 7 of Surah An-Naba’
Verse:
وَجَعَلْنَا الْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا
Translation:
And We placed the mountains as pegs.
Brief Tafsir (Commentary):
This verse emphasizes God's power in designing the earth's stability. Mountains are likened to pegs or stakes driven into the ground, preventing the earth from shifting uncontrollably. They play a critical role in maintaining geological balance and keeping the earth stable.
Wilayah Perspective:
Mountains here symbolize the firmness and strength of Wilayah (divinely appointed guardianship). Just as mountains stabilize the earth, the presence of the Wali al-Faqih and Islamic governance ensures the stability and security of society—spiritually, politically, and socially. Without them, societal collapse is a real danger.
Mahdavi Perspective:
In the era of Imam al-Mahdi’s (may Allah hasten his reappearance) rule, the world will be as stable and unshakable as a mountain-rooted land. Justice and peace in his time will anchor the human race just as mountains anchor the earth. Under his leadership, no corruption or instability will survive.

🔹 Qur’an 4:53 — The Just Dominion: A Wilayah and Mahdavi Perspective
🌙 The Noble Verse
أَمْ لَهُمْ نَصيبٌ مِنَ الْمُلْكِ فَإِذاً لا يُؤْتُونَ النَّاسَ نَقيراً
“Have they a share in the dominion? Then in that case they would not give people [even] a speck on a date stone.” (Qur’an 4:53)
✍️ Narrations on Wilayah
1️⃣ Imam al-Askari (a.s.) 💬
“This verse is like the one about the hardness of the Israelites’ hearts: even stones sometimes fall in fear of Allah, but their hearts are harder than stone… If they had any share in rule, they would not give the people even as much as a naqīr (the tiny dot on a date pit).” 📚 Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 9, p. 314
2️⃣ Imam al-Baqir (a.s.) 💬
“Mulk (dominion) here means Imamate and Caliphate. If they had any share in it, they would deprive us — the Ahl al-Bayt — of even the smallest right.” 📚 Al-Kafi, vol. 1, p. 205
3️⃣ ‘Ali ibn Ibrahim (r.a.) 💬
“Naqīr is the tiny point on the back of a date stone — a metaphor for the smallest possible right.” 📚 Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 9, p. 193
4️⃣ Ibn ‘Abbas (r.a.) 💬
“If the hypocrites had any share in rule, they would give nothing to the Prophet (s.a.w.) and his Companions.” 📚 Bahr al-‘Irfan, vol. 4, p. 247
🌟 Wilayah Perspective
🔹 The Mulk in this verse, according to the Ahl al-Bayt’s exegesis, is none other than divine Imamate — the true guardianship and leadership.
🔹 The Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.) are the rightful heirs of this divine dominion.
🔹 Rejecting their Wilayah results in misers and oppressors ruling over people, withholding the people’s share of divine mercy and justice.
✨ Mahdavi Perspective
🔸 In the era of the Reappearance, this true Mulk and divine leadership will return to its rightful inheritor, Imam al-Mahdi (a.j.).
🔸 He will reclaim the earth from the grasp of the miserly and unjust, spreading justice so that not even the smallest right is denied.
🔸 The rule of the Imam of the Age (a.j.) will end the historic cycle of oppression and the hoarding of rights.
✅ Wilayah and Mahdavi Conclusion
✔️ This verse is a sign of the long oppression of true Wilayah throughout history.
✔️ The Ahl al-Bayt are the rightful holders of this divine dominion, which history has usurped from them.
✔️ The Mahdi (a.j.) is the inheritor of this dominion; he will restore every right to its owner.
✔️ His governance in the End Times will be the ultimate manifestation of justice — ensuring no right, not even as small as a naqīr, is withheld.
