Rahyafte (The Comprehensive Platform for Missionaries and New Muslims): In an interview, Giuseppe shares his journey into Islam. After converting, he chose the name Mehdi and expressed his lifelong passion for reading, spending most of his pocket money on books.

🔹 "When I learned about Islam, I understood that it’s a religion that highly values knowledge and learning. It pains me when people attack Islam, calling it a backward religion, because I know that this is a lie. I want to prove to them that this is not true."

🔹 He also addresses the misconception of comparing Muslim women to feminist women and European models, stating: "Through translating the book Islam and Women, I want to show that Muslim women have been unfairly portrayed by such media."

Mehdi has translated and published numerous books on Islam and Shia Islam, believing it’s crucial to introduce authentic Islam and Shia to Italians. He strives to present Shia Islam not in a one-dimensional way but in a broader context to foster understanding.

🔸 "We are like a drop in the ocean when it comes to propagating and introducing Shia. It’s a challenging task, but I embrace it because I love my religion. Without this love, I would never be able to do it. I see my work as a form of Jihad for the sake of God, and I strive to promote Shia even with limited resources."

🔹 Reflecting on his earlier years, Mehdi said: "When I was younger, I faced many questions. That’s why I abandoned aerospace studies and sought philosophy, but I didn’t gain much from it. I continued studying and eventually concluded that there are three types of relationships: the relationship between humans and God, between humans and society, and between humans and themselves. I realized that these three relationships must be balanced in life. I then sought balance, which led me to Islam. The beauty of Islam is that it aims to place these three relationships in the right place, creating harmony and peace."

🔹 "In Shia thought, Imam Hussein’s uprising was to establish this balance because a Muslim cannot live with a divided heart. This is why I was drawn to Shia Islam."
