♦️ The Only European Martyr of the Sacred Defense, Who Was Martyred in the Mersad Operation

Today marks the anniversary of the Mersad Operation. As I was searching for material to write about this operation, I came across this martyr... It seems that among the martyrs, he is very overlooked! So, let’s honor this operation's anniversary by remembering this dear martyr 🌹

✅ Jerome Emmanuel, known as Kamal Corsal, was born in France and is the only European martyr of the eight-year Sacred Defense period.

Under the luminous teachings of Du’a Kumayl, he became a Shia. Corsal attributed his conversion to Shia Islam to Du’a Kumayl of Imam Ali (AS) and preferred to be called Ali or Abu Haydar.

✅ His father recounts that Kamal's comrades said he fell into the enemy's ambush during the Mersad Operation after several fronts against the forces of falsehood. After enduring several days of thirst, he remarked that he could finally understand the hardships endured by Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions.

⚘️ Let's honor the memory of the 1,095 martyrs of the Mersad Operation, including 108 non-Iranian martyrs of the Badr Corps: 105 Iraqis, 2 Bahrainis, and 1 Frenchman. 🌺

🔴 Iran's Casualties in Key Historical Events:

‼️ World War I Surrender: 9 million deaths.
‼️ World War II Surrender: 5 million deaths.
‼️ Resistance During the 8-Year Sacred Defense: 200,000 martyrs.

🕊️ The Divine Intercession of Lady Fatima (sa) in the Sacred Defense: Narrated by Martyr Qasem Soleimani 🕊️

"I saw the power and motherly love of Lady Fatima (sa) in the Hawizeh Marshes, west of the Fish Canal, and in the middle of minefields."

— Martyr Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani

The special grace of Hazrat Fatima Zahra (sa) was a constant companion and support for our warriors during the Sacred Defense. Among the veterans of that epic era, Martyr Qasem Soleimani, then commander of the 41st Tharallah Division, shared profound testimonies of her divine presence on the battlefield.

🌊 Operation "Valfajr 8" & The Furious Arvand River

"When our eyes fell upon the stormy, angry, and terrifying waters of the 'Arvand,' there was no name more familiar to us than the name of Lady Fatima (sa). So, on the banks of the Arvand, we called upon her amidst the glimmer of the lonely and oppressed tears of the Basijis. With 'Ya Zahra (sa),' we controlled the river and crossed it."

💥 Operation "Karbala 4" & The River of Blood

"When the enemy unleashed a drunken barrage of machine guns, mortars, and artillery on the shore, and streams of blood flowed into the Arvand, all our strategies had failed. No name was on our tongues except the name of Lady Fatima (sa)."

"When the Iraqis stood by the Arvand, shooting our warriors, our most effective weapon was, once again, Lady Fatima (sa)."

🏜️ Operation "Karbala 5" & The Waters of Bubiyan

"When we were in dire straits, we looked at the waters of 'Bubiyan.' There, too, we laid our heads on the fortress and called out to Lady Fatima (sa) in helpless supplication."

👁️ A Mother on the Battlefield: A Message to the Mothers of the Martyrs

Addressing the mothers of the martyrs, he shared this powerful vision:

"I saw the power and motherly love of Lady Fatima (sa) in the Hawizeh Marshes, west of the Fish Canal, and in the middle of minefields. When you mothers were not there, and your children were writhing in their blood, I saw Lady Fatima (sa)."

He concluded with a beautiful analogy:

"When the enemy was closing in on Prophet Moses (as) by the Nile, and he saw the Nile with one eye and the terrifying army of Pharaoh with the other, God split the Nile for him. Likewise, Hazrat Fatima (sa) acted as a mother in the Hawizeh Marshes, Karbala 5, the Arvand, and the cold, harsh mountains of Kurdistan [for our warriors]."

A Moment of Profound Connection: The Leader's Reflection on a Martyr Linked to Lady Zahra (SA)

In a poignant recollection, Sardar Mohammad Nabi Roudaki, former commander of the 19th Fajr Division during the Sacred Defense, shared a deeply moving memory involving the Leader of the Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, and Martyr Mohammad Eslami-Nasab.

The Scene:
During a visit to the division's headquarters in Ahvaz in 1988,the Leader reviewed the photographs of the division's martyred commanders. When he reached the picture of Martyr Mohammad Eslami-Nasab, he paused and reflected longer than with the others.

The Martyr's Interview:
A pre-operation interview with the martyr was then played. In the video, Martyr Eslami-Nasab, with deep emotion, stated:

"We will be victorious in the upcoming operation. In this operation, someone supports us... whenever I mention her name..."

At this point, he was overcome with emotion, fell silent, and began to cry. He tried again, saying:

"Every time I mention the name of Bibi (Lady Zahra)... I am overwhelmed."
Once more, he was silenced by tears.

The Leader's Words:
As the video played and the martyr struggled to speak through his tears, the Leader, breaking the silence, gently urged:

"Say it... go on, say that you have a connection with Hazrat Zahra (SA)."

The Martyr's Fate:
Martyr Eslami-Nasab,the commander of the Imam Reza (AS) Battalion, was ultimately martyred during Karbala 4 operations. As he threw a grenade at an enemy machine-gun nest, he was shot in the throat and achieved martyrdom with the invocation of "Ya Zahra (SA)" on his lips.

A Final Confirmation:
After the video, the Leader turned to Sardar Roudaki and inquired about the martyr's background. Upon learning that he was a simple tailor before the war, a devout man rooted in religious communities, the Leader affirmed:

"Just as I thought, those who have deep roots [in faith]."

He then requested a copy of the interview film, a testament to the profound impression left by this martyr's spiritual connection.

🔴 Ayatollah Khamenei: ISIS had reached within a few kilometers of Karbala and had come so close to the shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) that they were hitting Karbala with 60mm mortars. 🔻 Related title: https://t.me/asrzohur110/982 (En) ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ https://t.m…
⚔️ The Generation That Saved Karbala: From Sacred Defense to Holy Shrine

A stark reminder from the leadership reveals how close we came to catastrophe—and how a generation forged in one war rose to prevent it.

🔴 Ayatollah Khamenei:
"ISIS had reached within a few kilometers of Karbala... They had come so close to the shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) that they were hitting Karbala with 60mm mortars."

This was not a distant threat. It was an existential assault on the heart of Shiism.

🛡️ The Chain of Sacred Defense

The "Defense of the Shrines" did not emerge from nowhere. It was born from the "Sacred Defense"—the Iran-Iraq War. That war was a school.

· It built national capital and priceless assets.
· It laid the foundation for figures like Qasem Soleimani.
· The soldiers, commanders, and martyrs of that war became the teachers for all of today's and tomorrow's resistance movements.

🏴 The First Wave & The Unbreakable Line

When the first wave of terror struck Iraq, if the attackers had reached our holy sites, they would have completely destroyed them. They were that close.

The promise made to the families of our martyrs was clear: "Opening the road to Karbala is to open the door to the shrine of Imam Hussein."

🕊️ A Historical Parallel: Defying the Abbasids

This struggle echoes history. There was a time when the Abbasid caliphs were determined to destroy the holy grave of Aba Abdillah al-Hussein (AS) and the other sacred tombs.

A group of people gave their lives to stop them. They did not allow it.

Those footsteps—that ultimate sacrifice for the right to visit that grave—are what paved the way for the 20 million walking pilgrims of Arba'een we see today. That global majesty, that overwhelming love for Imam Hussein (AS), traces its first brick to those who gave their lives to visit his grave.

✨ The Legacy Continues

"Your children are the same."
The generation that defended the shrines in Syria and Iraq are the spiritual children of the Sacred Defense. They are the latest link in an unbroken chain of those who stand between the enemies of faith and the sanctuaries of Ahl al-Bayt (AS).

Their victory preserved not just stones and mortar, but the living, breathing heart of a global faith.

🕋 Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (AS): The Scholar Who Purified Islam & Forged a Secret Network

On the occasion of the blessed birth of Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (AS), we honor the legacy of the 5th Imam, whose 19-year Imamate ignited a profound intellectual revolution in the Islamic world. Known as Baqir al-'Ulum (the Splitter of Knowledge), he laid the foundations for the systematic scholarship that would reach its zenith under his son, Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (AS). His era saw the formal codification of Shi'a thought in jurisprudence, theology, ethics, and Quranic exegesis [1].

🛡️ The Frontline Battle: Confronting Israeli Forgeries (Isra'iliyyat)

One of Imam al-Baqir's (AS) most critical missions was defending the purity of Islamic teachings from corrupting influences, primarily the infiltration of Isra'iliyyat—fabricated narrations and biblical lore imported by some Jewish converts and scholars into Islamic discourse [1].

These forgeries, often concerning the lives of past prophets, were seeping into mainstream Islamic culture and even the works of renowned figures like the historian and exegete al-Tabari. Imam al-Baqir (AS) actively identified and refuted these falsehoods to protect the sanctity of divine scripture and prophecy [1].

Two Defining Confrontations:

1. The "People of Remembrance": When some claimed the Quranic verse "Ask the People of the Remembrance if you do not know" (16:43) referred to Jewish rabbis, Imam al-Baqir (AS) pointed to his own chest and declared: "We are the People of Remembrance. We are the ones to be asked." This established the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) as the sole, authoritative source for understanding the Quran [1, 2].
2. The Kaaba's Sanctity: When a man cited the Jewish scholar Ka'b al-Ahbar's claim that the Kaaba prostrates to Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem) every morning, the Imam angrily refuted it, stating: "You and Ka'b are both lying! Allah has not created a spot on earth more beloved than this (the Kaaba)." This defense protected the unique spiritual status of Islam's central sanctuary [1, 3].

🤫 The Hidden Organization: Building the "Companions of the Secret"

Beyond public teaching, Imam al-Baqir (AS) undertook a crucial, clandestine project: building a resilient, secret network of loyal representatives (wikala). He specially trained and elevated key disciples—known as the "Ashab al-Sirr" (Companions of the Secret), like Jabir ibn Yazid al-Ju'fi—and strategically positioned them across the Islamic world [1, 4].

This covert organizational model served to:

· Continue his teachings and guidance under the radar of oppressive authorities.
· Collect religious dues (khums).
· Maintain a cohesive link between the Imam and the dispersed Shi'a community.
· This system was perfected by his successors and became the backbone of Shi'a organization during periods of severe persecution.

Imam al-Baqir's (AS) life was a masterful balance of open scholarly jihad to purify doctrine and discreet structural jihad to ensure the survival and continuity of the true faith. His legacy is not just one of knowledge, but of strategic wisdom and unwavering defense of Islamic truth.
