โSo among them were those who believed in it, and among them were those who turned away from it. And sufficient is Hell as a blaze.โ (Qurโan 4:55)
โ๏ธ Narrations on Wilayah
1๏ธโฃ Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) ๐ฌ
โAmong the descendants of Abraham (a.s.), some believed, and some turned away.โ ๐ Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 23, p. 292
2๏ธโฃ Tafsir โAli ibn Ibrahim (r.a.) ๐ฌ
โThe believers were Salman, Abu Dharr, Miqdad, and Ammar โ those who believed in the Wilayah of โAli (a.s.). Those who turned away are the usurpers of the right of the Prophetโs Household and their followers.โ ๐ Al-Qummi, vol. 1, p. 140
๐ Wilayah Perspective
๐น This verse vividly depicts the historic divide within the Ummah:
โซ๏ธ A steadfast, faithful group โ like Salman, Abu Dharr, Miqdad, and Ammar โ who firmly stood by the Wilayah.
โซ๏ธ Another group, despite knowing the truth, denied it, blocked the path, and usurped the rights of the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.).
๐น Here, Iman means belief in Prophethood and Wilayah; Sadd means actively hindering the rightful guardianship of the Prophetโs Household.
โจ Mahdavi Perspective
๐ธ This duality lives on:
โซ๏ธ In every era, some remain loyal to the Wilayah; others line up in denial and distortion.
โซ๏ธ In the End Times, a great sifting will occur again: the loyal companions of Imam al-Mahdi (a.j.) will be the true torchbearers of Wilayah, while his enemies continue the legacy of the early usurpers.
๐ธ The blazing fire of Hell is the Qurโanโs promised end for those who reject and obstruct the divine guardianship.
โ Wilayah and Mahdavi Conclusion
โ๏ธ This verse confirms an everlasting truth: โซ๏ธ There will always be two camps โ the camp of faith and loyalty to Imamate, and the camp of denial and opposition. โซ๏ธ Allahโs promise is clear: the fate of the deniers is the flame of Hell; the destiny of the faithful is victory alongside the Qaโim (a.j.).

โ๏ธ Narrations on Wilayah
1๏ธโฃ Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) ๐ฌ
When asked about how skins are replaced, he said: โIt is like a clay brick that breaks and is recast in the mold โ the matter is the same, but the form is renewed.โ ๐ Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 8, p. 288
2๏ธโฃ Imam al-Sadiq (a.s.) ๐ฌ
*โThe souls of the Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.) were created before their bodies. The dwelling place of their enemies and oppressors is the lowest depths of Hell, and this verse speaks of them: โEvery time their skins are roasted through, We will replace them...โโ ๐ Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 11, p. 172
๐ Wilayah Perspective
๐น This verse underlines a profound truth: rejecting Allahโs signs is not only denying verses or symbols โ it includes rejecting the living signs, the Prophet (s) and his Ahl al-Bayt (a.s.).
โซ๏ธ The punishment for this rejection is an unending cycle of torment, reflecting the continuous nature of their denial.
โซ๏ธ The renewal of skins symbolizes the perfect harmony of soul and body and Allahโs meticulous justice.
โจ Mahdavi Perspective
๐ธ In Mahdavi insight, this verse is a stark warning to the enemies of Wilayah and the Qaโim of the Ahl al-Muhammad (a.j.):
โซ๏ธ Those who oppose the living divine proofs on Earth will face a never-ending Hell.
โซ๏ธ No matter how skins or forms change, the spirit of denial remains โ so does the cycle of punishment.
โซ๏ธ In the End Times, the reality of true Wilayah will be fully manifest; deniers and oppressors will have no share except in the eternal blaze.
โ Wilayah and Mahdavi Conclusion
โ๏ธ โSkin replacedโ means falsehood-seekers are trapped in an endless torment because their denial is constant.
โ๏ธ This verse reminds us of the final sifting: submit to Allahโs living signs and His Wilayah โ or face a fire whose flames for oppressors never die.

๐ท Verse 93 โ Surah An-Nisa | Wilayah and Mahdawi Insight ๐ The Noble Verse โAnd whoever kills a believer intentionally โ his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally; and Allah will be angry with him, curse him, and prepare for him a great punishment.โโฆ
๐น Verse 94 โ Surah An-Nisa | Wilayah and Mahdavi Explanation
๐ The Noble Verse
โO you who believe! When you go forth [to fight] in the cause of Allah, investigate; and do not say to one who offers you peace, โYou are not a believer,โ seeking the goods of worldly life. For with Allah are many spoils. You [yourselves] were like that before; then Allah conferred His favor upon you, so investigate. Indeed, Allah is ever, with what you do, Acquainted.โ (An-Nisa 4:94)
โ๏ธ Wilayah Narration
โ Ali ibn Ibrahim al-Qummi (r.a.) ๐ฌ This verse was revealed when the Prophet (PBUH) sent Usama ibn Zayd after the conquest of Khaybar with an army to invite the Jews of Fadak to Islam. A man named Mirdas ibn Nuhayk Fadaki, seeing the army, took his family and wealth and fled to the mountains. Then he came forward and declared the Shahadah, but Usama killed him, claiming he only said it to save his life. The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) asked him, โDid you open his heart? Why didnโt you accept his word?โ Usama swore never again to kill anyone who declared the Shahadah โ and under this pretext, he later refused to support Amir al-Muโminin (A) in battle. ๐ Tafsir Ahl al-Bayt v.3 | Bihar al-Anwar | al-Qummi
โ Imam al-Sadiq (A) ๐ฌ The Imam said: This verse teaches that if someone declares Islam or greets you with Salam (a sign of faith), you must not say, โYou are not a believer.โ ๐ Tafsir Ahl al-Bayt v.3 | al-Burhan
๐ Wilayah Insight
๐น This verse sets an important behavioral standard in the culture of Wilayah: The criterion for judging is outward declaration of faith, unless there is clear evidence of open hypocrisy. ๐น Usamaโs story is a historical example of how pretexts were used to shirk supporting the rightful Imam. Under cover of a prior vow, he abandoned the duty of obedience to Ali (A). ๐น In the school of Ahl al-Bayt, the right of Wilayah and obedience to the infallible Imam overrides any excuse or worldly gain.
โจ Mahdavi Insight
๐ธ In the time of Ghaybah (Occultation), the same principle remains: recognizing the true โbearer of peaceโ from false claimants demands insight and vigilance. ๐ธ Many today speak of Islam and peace, yet in truth seek worldly spoils and stand in line with the enemies of the Imam al-Mahdi (AJ). ๐ธ The loyal companions of the Mahdi (AJ) live by โfatabayyanuโ โ they investigate, discern, and never naively accept deceptive slogans.
โ Wilayah and Mahdavi Conclusion
โ๏ธ Obedience to the Wali of Allah and careful discernment between friend and foe are conditions for safeguarding true faith.
โ๏ธ Gullible trust in mere slogans without investigation opens the door to hypocrisy within the ranks of believers.
โ๏ธ This verse warns that the test of true faith and Wilayah remains in every age: slogans and greetings do not suffice โ vigilance, inquiry, and loyalty to Wilayah are always essential.
