👈 Blessings for the Residents of the Cemetery

It is narrated that there were two neighbors, one righteous and faithful, and the other engaged in unlawful occupations. Although they had grown up together since childhood, the latter continued with his sinful ways. Eventually, the sinful neighbor passed away and was buried in the local cemetery. After a short period, the righteous man dreamt of his departed friend in a peaceful state. Astonished, he asked, "I know your inner and outer self, and your profession seeks nothing but punishment. What deed has elevated you to such a status?" The deceased friend responded, "It is as you say. I lived in the worst conditions since my death until yesterday when they buried the wife of Ashraf the blacksmith in the cemetery." He then pointed to the grave location. On the night of her passing, Imam Hussain (AS) appeared three times and, on the third occasion, ordered the removal of the punishment from that cemetery. Since then, our conditions have improved, and we have been blessed.

The righteous man woke up, and to his surprise, he did not recognize Ashraf the blacksmith! After inquiries, he found him in the blacksmith market and asked, "Did you have a wife?" Ashraf replied, "Yes, she passed away yesterday, and we buried her in that cemetery." The man continued to ask, "Did she visit the shrine of Imam Hussain (AS)?" Ashraf said, "No." "Did she recite elegies or participate in mourning gatherings?" Again, the answer was "No!" Puzzled, he asked, "Why do you inquire?" The righteous man then shared his dream. Ashraf responded, "That woman was dedicated and consistent in reciting the Ziyarat Ashura."

✍ The son of Ayatollah Allameh Amini (RA), the author of "Al-Ghadir," shares a remarkable experience: Four years after the passing of my father, I saw him in a joyful and contented dream on a Friday night.

⁉️ After exchanging greetings, I asked, "What action there has led to your salvation and happiness? Was it the book 'Al-Ghadir,' or other works, or the establishment of the Foundation and Library of Amir al-Mu'minin (AS)?"

☘ Allameh pondered and replied, "Only the Ziyarat Ashura."

☘ I inquired, "Now, the relations between Iran and Iraq are strained, and the path to Karbala seems closed. What should I do?"

☘ He advised, "Participate in gatherings and events held for the mourning of Imam Hussein (AS); the rewards of visiting Imam Hussein (AS) will be granted to you."

☘ Then he added, "My dear son! I have emphasized this many times in the past, and now I recommend that you never abandon or forget the Ziyarat Ashura. Regularly recite the Ziyarat Ashura and consider it your duty."

🔹 Ayatollah Bahjat commenced his worship from the midnight hours. Two to three hours before the call to Fajr prayer, he would rise from sleep for performing the nightly prayers and worship. He would quietly recite supplications and sometimes whisper poems. After performing ablution, he would engage in worship and intimate conversations with the Almighty.

🔹 Following the Fajr prayer, he would engage in additional acts of worship.

🔹 He would recite Ziyarat Ashura and its associated prayers, and then recite the Alqamah supplication. Subsequently, amidst daily activities and commuting to the shrine or classes, he would recite one hundred curses and one hundred blessings as part of the Ziyarat Ashura.

Despite the abundance of scholarly activities among our scholars and teachers, they were always vigilant in reciting Ziyarat Ashura. The late Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Hussein Esfahani, may Allah bless his soul, wished that the concluding words of his life be the recitation of Ziyarat Ashura, and after that, he hasten towards the Almighty. Allah answered his prayer, and upon completing the recitation of Ziyarat Ashura, his soul rushed to the higher realms and became adorned with mercy."

🔹 Section Four: Who Has Been Cursed? | A Qur’anic Perspective ✨🚫

📖 Ziyarat Ashura Reference

In Ziyarat Ashura we recite:

“O Allah! Surely this is the day when the family of Umayyah rejoiced, and the son of the eater of livers — the accursed one, the son of the accursed one — whom You and Your Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) have cursed…”

❓ So the question is: Who has been cursed by Allah Almighty?
The answer is found in the following twelve verses, all revealed about the Children of Israel and the Jews:

1️⃣ “So for their breaking of the covenant, We cursed them and made their hearts hard. They distort words from their [proper] places and have forgotten a portion of what they were reminded of…” (Al-Ma’idah 5:13)

2️⃣ “Among the Jews are those who distort words from their [proper] places and say, ‘We hear and disobey’… But Allah has cursed them for their disbelief, so they believe not except for a few.” (An-Nisa 4:46)

3️⃣ “O People of the Scripture! Believe in what We have revealed… lest We obliterate faces or curse them as We cursed the Sabbath-breakers…” (An-Nisa 4:47)

4️⃣ “Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture, believing in false gods and idols… They are the ones whom Allah has cursed…” (An-Nisa 4:51–52)

5️⃣ “Shall I inform you of [what is] worse as a penalty from Allah? [It is] those whom Allah has cursed and with whom He became angry and made of them apes and swine and slaves of false gods…” (Al-Ma’idah 5:60)

6️⃣ “And they said, ‘Our hearts are wrapped.’ Nay, Allah has cursed them for their disbelief, so little is it that they believe.” (Al-Baqarah 2:88)

7️⃣ “Their recompense is that upon them is the curse of Allah and the angels and mankind, altogether.” (Aal Imran 3:87)

8️⃣ “Indeed, those who conceal what We sent down of clear proofs and guidance after We made it clear for the people in the Scripture — they are cursed by Allah and cursed by those who curse.” (Al-Baqarah 2:159)

9️⃣ “Indeed, those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers — upon them will be the curse of Allah and of the angels and the people, all together.” (Al-Baqarah 2:161)

🔟 “Those who break the covenant of Allah after contracting it and sever that which Allah has ordered to be joined and cause corruption on earth — for them is the curse and they will have the worst home.” (Ar-Ra’d 13:25)

1️⃣1️⃣ “The Jews say, ‘Allah’s Hand is tied up.’ Their hands are tied up, and they are cursed for what they said…” (Al-Ma’idah 5:64)

1️⃣2️⃣ “And when there came to them a Book from Allah confirming that which was with them — although before that they used to pray for victory over those who disbelieved — but [then] when there came to them that which they recognized, they disbelieved in it; so the curse of Allah is on the disbelievers.” (Al-Baqarah 2:89)

The answer lies in Surah Al-Ma’idah, verse 78:
“Those among the Children of Israel who disbelieved were cursed by the tongue of David and Jesus, son of Mary. That was because they disobeyed and [habitually] transgressed.” (Al-Ma’idah 5:78)
