πΈ Taqiyyah: An Opportunity for Renewed Uprising πΈ
Our Imams (AS) sometimes resorted to Taqiyyah (dissimulation) to preserve the religion of Allah β so that believers would have more opportunity to strike at the Umayyad and Abbasid regimes.
However, in the event of the uprising of Aba Abdellah (Imam Husain) (AS), seeking further opportunity no longer made sense.
If the Imam had not risen and been martyred, the opportunity would have been given to disbelief to deliver its final blow β a blow that would result in nothing but the defeat of Islam and the Muslims.
If, at that juncture, the Imam had made allegiance to the tyrant like the other Imams, it would not have been a respite for the Imamate, but a respite for the tyrant.
The Imams needed time and opportunity to preach and spread Islam, not to hand it over to the tyrant and witness its destruction!
The peace of Imam Hasan (AS) was not a respite for Mu'awiyah β it was a respite for the believers, so they could prepare themselves for the time when they would once again launch a movement β a movement that could educate and guide the people.
If Mu'awiyah had killed all the companions of the Imam (AS), there would have been no opportunity left even for mourning him.
For example, it is narrated that Imam Ali (AS) in the Battle of Uhud was βvery watchful and cautious.β
Why? Because he wanted to survive β so the enemy could not strike him. Not out of attachment to this world, but for the survival of Islam β just as he was willing to endure blows for the sake of Islam's preservation, but not in a way that he would stand and say, βIf anyone wants to strike me, go ahead and strike!β

πΉ The Pulling to Paradise: The Love That Even Angels Cannot Separate
βAnd those who feared their Lord will be led to Paradise in groupsβ¦β (Quran 39:73)
For years, Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi pondered over this verse: Why does Allah say the believers will be βledβ to Paradise β as if they are being pulled, rather than eagerly running toward it?
The answer came in a heart-rending narration from Imam al-Sadiq (AS):
On the Day of Judgment, the lovers of Imam Husain (AS) will ask Allah for one final wish before entering Paradise: to see their Imam.
When Imam Husain (AS) comes to meet them, an eternal gaze begins β eyes locked, hearts pouring out, neither side able to look away.
It is a reunion of such depth and love that time stands still.
The angels finally receive Allahβs command:
βPull these believers toward Paradise, for their meeting with Husain will never end by their own will.β
And so, they are gently led β not because they do not long for Paradise, but because they cannot bear to part from the glance of their Beloved.
---
π§ What does this tell us?
Β· True love for Imam Husain (AS) is not a slogan β it is a spiritual bond that transcends even the joys of Paradise.
Β· On that Day, while others are fearful, the mourners of Karbala will be radiant, joyful, and safe under the Throne, speaking of Husain (AS).
Β· Even the Hur al-βAyn will call to them from Paradise, but they will not raise their heads β so immersed are they in the presence of their Imam.
---
ποΈ Reflection for Today:
Let us build a love so true that on the Longest Day, it becomes our light, our peace, and the reason angels must pull us away from the One whose love we carried in our hearts all our lives.
Oβ Husain, tie our hearts to yours, so that on That Day, we are among those who cannot part from you.

β¨ Quran 7:58 β A Parable of Pure and Impure Lands
π± The Verse:
"The good land yields its vegetation by the permission of its Lord; but that which is bad yields nothing but scantily. Thus do We diversify the signs for a people who are grateful."
---
πΈ First Interpretation: The Pure Imams and Their Corrupt Opponents
The great exegete Ali ibn Ibrahim al-Qummi explains that this verse is an allegory for the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and their enemies:
Β· "The example of 'the good land' is for the Imams (AS). Their knowledge emerges by the permission of their Lord.
Β· And 'that which is bad' is an example for their enemies. Their knowledge yields nothing but what is 'scant, turbid, and corrupt.'"
Source: Tafsir Ahl al-Bayt, Vol. 5, p. 186
π Reflection: Just as fertile soil brings forth abundant, wholesome crops through divine will, the hearts and teachings of the Holy Imams (AS) produce profound, life-giving knowledge. In contrast, the hearts of their enemies, like barren land, can only produce weak, distorted, or harmful ideas.
---
βοΈ Second Story: Imam al-Husain (AS) and the Wit of the Quran
From the book Mahasin al-Barqi, a powerful incident is narrated:
'Amr ibn al-'As once asked Imam al-Husain (AS) provocatively: "Why is your beard more full and abundant than ours?"
Imam al-Husain (AS), with supreme wisdom and calm, did not engage in argument. He simply recited the divine words:
"The good land yields its vegetation by the permission of its Lord; but that which is bad yields nothing but scantily."
Hearing this, Mu'awiyah, who was present, immediately turned to 'Amr and said: "By the right I have over you, be silent! For this is Husain, the son of Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS)."
Source: Tafsir Ahl al-Bayt, Vol. 5, p. 186
π Reflection: Imam al-Husain (AS) demonstrated that the greatest response to baseless provocation is to elevate the discourse to the level of divine revelation. The Quran itself is the ultimate criterion, distinguishing the pure from the impure, the noble from the base. Even his enemies recognized the undeniable authority that emanated from him.
