Once, Ali ibn Abi Talib heard that an enemy attacked an Islamic land: "This is the brother of Ghamid, and his cavalry has raided Anbar." He said: "I have heard that the enemy has taken the adornments of a Muslim woman or a woman under Muslim protection, the enemy has plundered Muslim lands, killed or captured men, and assaulted women." Ali ibn Abi Talib, whom we falsely claim to follow, said: "If a Muslim man dies from grief over this, he should not be blamed but deserves it." Don’t we have a duty to financially support them? Aren’t they Muslims with loved ones? Aren’t they fighting for a legitimate human right? Who can deny today that the displaced Palestinians don’t have the right to return to their homeland?

"Allah has preferred those who strive with their wealth and their lives over those who remain behind." (Quran 4:95). "Those who believe, and have emigrated, and have striven in the way of Allah with their wealth and their lives." (Quran 9:20). We can help with our wealth. By God, this charity is obligatory, like praying and fasting. The first question we’ll be asked after death is what we did for Islamic solidarity. The Prophet said: "Whoever hears a Muslim calling 'O Muslims, help me!' and doesn’t respond, is not a Muslim." What stops us from opening accounts for them? Why don’t we allocate a small part of our income for them? Why do Jews worldwide, including Iranian Jews, help and receive praise, while we do nothing? The awakened people are those who recognize opportunities, feel the pain, and understand the truth. I’ve done my duty. My duty was only to speak, and God knows I did it out of conscience and obligation. This financial help is your duty, my duty, and every preacher’s duty to say. Major religious authorities like Ayatollah Hakim and others have officially decreed that anyone killed there, even if they don’t pray, is a martyr in the way of God. So, let’s value ourselves, our work, our thoughts, our books, and our money. Let’s make ourselves respectable among the nations of the world.
