👨🎨📜17 September 1510. Giorgione (his portriat on the left☝️), one of the most mysterious painters of the Italian #Renaissance, passed away of pest in Venice. This is actually the only certain thing we know about #Giorgione.
He was born probably in 1478 in #Castelfranco, Medieval town 30 minutes away from Venice and at the time part of the Venetian Republic.
He moved to Venice very young and entered the Art School of 👉 Giovanni Bellini as a palace decorator, soon joined by 👉 Tiziano.
That's why Bellini and Tiziano are the main witnesses of Giorgione's work, due to the fact that he never signed his paintings.
Today we all can admire Giorgione's most famous paintings in the #AccademiaGalleries in Venice: among them "La Tempesta"☝️, unanimously regarded as one of the most beautiful and important artworks of the Renaissance!

Happy 80th birthday to living legend #ReinholdMessner from #SouthTyrol, #Dolomites, #Italy.
Widely considered the greatest mountaineer of all time, he's the first man who climbed all fourteen 8000 mt. mountains on Earth, the first man to ascent Everest in solitude, the first man to cross alone and only on foot Antarctica, Greenland and Gobi desert.
In June 2006 he opened the Messner Mountain Museum (MMM) in 6 different locations in the Dolomites, a project that unites the stories of the growth and decline of mountains, the culture in the Himalayan region (where he spent much of his life in his 20s and 30s) and the history of South Tyrol👇
