🎼18 August 1986. It's 35 years today 😳 that the keyboards 🎹 of David Bryan introduced Slippery When Wet, 3rd studio album by American hard rock band Bon Jovi👇
3 months before #Europe already paved the way with The Final Countdown (for related post click here 👉 #26May), but it's with the release of Slippery When Wet that Hard Rock & Heavy Metal had their final breakthough in all charts! As many of my generation, I personally started listening to this music genre thanks to Europe and Bon Jovi! 💪🎸🔥
Slippery When Wet, along with some terrific singles such as You Give Love a Bad Name, Livin' on a Prayer, and Wanted Dead or Alive, sold some 30 million copies worldwide and #BonJovi became the hugest hard rock band in the world for some years🤟😈
... and I have to say they still today live on that success, so Let it Rock !!! #MusicHistory #18August

#HardRock #GlamMetal

35 years ago Aerosmith from Boston, #USA released their 9th studio album entitled Permanent Vacation.

It is widely considered Aerosmith's "comeback album" after years of drug abuse and poor musical inspiration.

Permanent Vacation was the start of a new life for the band: shift of sound and songwriting towards Pop Metal and huge commercial success that lasts 'till today.

The singles extracted "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)", "Angel" and "Rag Doll" all charted high and are now among #Aerosmith signature songs. "I'm down" is a Beatles cover.
