📜🎼5/6 July 1971. Exactly 50 years ago at Midnight Led Zeppelin play their only concert ever in Italy. They only performed few songs before being forced to stop the concert due to police teargas 💨😭 invading the venue (the Vigorelli, a cycling stadium in Milan) and making it impossible. There were in fact all night long riots outside the stadium between groups of young antagonists and the police. This is recalled as one of the most infamous days in history of events in Italy, though luckily it did not end in tragedy.
#LedZeppelin have always been a band who kept their promises and on that night they said... "nevermore in Italy"! And they never came again 🤷‍♂️
As a true rocker 🤟😈 I have always wondered if the main reason for that was the teargas or the fact they were headlining the Cantagiro☝️😳... not what we call properly a rock festival...

35 years ago Slayer from Huntington Park, Los Angeles, #USA released their 4th studio album.

In South Of Heaven #Slayer deliberately slowed down tempos and vocals as compared to their previous albums, thus surprising and disappointing some of their fans.
This is a killer album anyway and one of my favorite from them, my original cassette still hits hard in #VeniceRocksRoom 🔥☝️

This album contains a #JudasPriest cover, "Dissident Aggressor".
